I don't leave many reviews. But, I have placed 3 orders with this company. All product arrived disappointing. Bare root means there is enough to plant. Mine were of a size I needed to use tweezers to plant them (of 25 ordered only 5 have survived). All shipments are late by about a month. Only contact is through an email address. They are either non-responsive or take a week to reply and then its only a partial response. They have a variety of plant status- bare root, blooming age, Mature. My blooming age plants arrived and they are nothing close to blooming age - see image after potting for a week. Product arrives in sandwich ziplock bags with illegible sharpie handwriting telling you the contents. I find this site very deceiptive. I successfully buy plants online a lot and I will not use this one again. Oh, and they remove their bad site reviews.I bought perinnials and ferns.

Liars!
June 14, 2023

Do not trust this company! Ordered live ready to bloom plants. They never came. Asked about my order and was assured several times over a few weeks it was to be shipped in 24hrs. No help. Disputed the charge. Magically a week later something shows up. Not what I ordered but something. Some sticks in a bag. Now my card is recharging me. Never trust these people!

I ordered 4different plants. They said they would be shipped bare root when they were ready to ship to me. What I got was 4 different plants that were dry root. Instead of one, I got multiples I guess in case the one was indeed dead. I have had them planted for almost two weeks and I am still not seeing any growth. When told bare root and it is the end of May, I expect there to be plant growth and roots wrapped in wet paper and plastic. Not roots dried out since last year. I will not be ordering from TN Nursery again.

Site is easy to navigate, plant bundles give good discounts even for as few as 2 plants, and mixed species bundles are tailored for your growing zone based on shipping address. Overall a great experience!

Ordered Elderberries and black raspberres. Received dead sticks. They offered to refund my money if I waited a year, and pulled the dead sticks are returned them, but it was pretty obvious that they were dried up when I received them. Planted them as instructed (they may look dead, but plant them anyway). They were dead. Not a single one even budded.

It's been a while, but I was just cleaning out my mailbox when I came across the receipt, and got ticked off again. They wasted my time and labor just for a dollar, and I think they knew it. This was in April 2019 and they stayed dead in 2020. Orders 5998 and 5988. This lesson cost me $45.72 and $50.72 or $96.44..

Haven't received my order
May 24, 2023

I placed an order in April and still have not received my order. I sent a email and have not heard a response. I can't found them because they have no voicemail set up! I would definitely not recommend ordering online from them! I ordered 10 plants and by the time I get them it'll be out of season to plant them! They are a joke. I sent an email and haven't got any response from them.

So far, so good
May 24, 2023

The ordering experience was easy and quick. The plants arriv ed as promised. All ferns that I ordered were planted in my existing fern bed in the proper soil and light conditions. I will wait to pass final judgment until the purchased items grow and hopefully thrive. Each fern looked reasonably healthy, so I am hoping for the best.

I received dead dogwood trees on arrival. I planted them and they have not grown or sprouted. I have done the scratch test sent photos and requested replacements. The company has complied. They have emailed me back requesting more pictures and telling me to wait until August. I will never purchase from this nursery again.

Trillium undulatum
May 15, 2023

I have purchased twice Trillium undulatum from TTN. I received not the species purchased and when the plants did bloom three-years after pruchase, they were a combination of sessile trilliums (T cuneatum) and pedicellate trilliums (T grandiflorum, erectum, luteum). They claim that T. Undulatum are blooming size rhizomes but I have found their claims to be untrue. The company is not to be trusted when it comes to purchasing and receiving the correct species. And, of course, if the plants do not bloom in the first twelve months after purchase, they will not replace the plants even though they are responsible for sending the wrong species. T. undulatum are difficult to grow, and for this reason I believe they fraudulently package easy-to-grow species - at least when the plants emerge from the ground in the Spring, the buyer is duped into believing they received the correct viable plants even if they do not bloom. Gotcha! Jerry

Unethical
May 2, 2023

I am a very experienced gardener who decided to try this site for the first time. I purchased three bare root plants from TNNursery.net in early Spring 2022. When I received them, I planted them right away, but one only grew to 9" tall (should've been 4'-6') and two didn't come up at all. I contacted TN Nursery, who told me to be patient about the 9" plant, but sent 2 more bare roots in the Fall 2022. I planted those right away, as well. I waited until Spring 2023 for all the plants to show, but none ever did. I contacted TNNursery.net at the end of April 2023 to ask for a full refund, but was told no refunds or replacements for dead plants, only store credit, as stated in their warranty (but "Dead/defective plants" are what I was shipped!). However, it's NOT stated in their warranty. NOWHERE does it say anything regarding "dead plants" or "replaced plants". Anyway, they offered credit for two of the bare roots. But when I pointed out ALL THREE were dead, they reduced the offer to only one store credit! They claimed their warranty doesn't cover the two bare roots that were replaced. WHY would anyone want store credit from this unethical company that changes their warranty, on the fly, to suit themselves? I paid for 3 bare roots that were supposed to grow to 4' to 6' tall, but have absolutely nothing to show for it. These plants are not hard to grow. I deserved better treatment and a full refund. - It's standard policy of other online nurseries. And NOW I see they have a low Better Business Bureau rating! My advice is to steer clear of this place.

TN nursery sent me pitch pine trees that never grew and refused to honor the return policy that was promised at the time of purchase. They refused to acknowledge that the trees were dead (even after NOTHING appeared green after being planted for one year) and would only consider refunding my money if I sent back the dead trees - at my expense.

Placed an order on Saturday. Within less than 24 hours on Sunday, emailed them to cancel my order.
There was no shipping/tracking information that was generated by the time of my cancel request.
They charge 20% fee for cancellation, even when the order has not been yet processed.
To take it even further, a day later they email back asking which plant is not in good condition and they need a picture!

I placed an order with Tn Nursery with the understanding that the items order would be shipped in 3 to 4 business days. I received an email from them stating the date I (should) receive the items. On the date stated on the order as to when I should receive the items. I called the company and asked when I could expect delivery, No answer so I left a message. NO RESPONSE, so called again the next day and received a call from the company telling me it could take up to 7 business days since this was their busy season. After 11 business days I cancelled the order. I was sent an email saying "if I cancelled they would take 20% out for cancelling the order. That was news to me it was nowhere to be found on the place I ordered. So be aware of the business practices of this company. I suggest to avoid them all to gether.
