DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
They are thieves, they have taken my money and said that goods have been shipped and yet 15 days later still nothing they should have been with me within 6-8 days as stated on the website. And despite trying to contact them all you get is emails saying wait. It is a total rip off and I have had to involve my credit card company to try to get my money back. Steer welll clear and use a reputable company and pay that little bit extra I will in future.
Ordered a phone from them 3 month ago. They didn't delivered it. After 2 and a half months messaging with them they agree that the phone was lost... they sad will refund me... now it's been almost 3 weeks and i didn't get my refund. All they sad we send request to financial department.
Good day. The company is not in good faith. They do not want to return the money for the phone that did not arrive. It is not possible to call them, since the number indicated on the website is an answering machine, which tells you that they need to write letters. Letters and requests to return money are not answered, they are ignored. Take care of yourself and your money.
Don't do any business with this guys they selling Chinese items, just terrible customer service overall
Bought new Phone from this site, I received old used phone, demiged Package, opened Folie and all that after long time of waiting to receive the order.
The customer support is useless, they send the same msg every time ensuring they send new items, and saying I can return the product, but never actually sending return label, or Adresse or Garantie that i'll get my money back...
Don't buy anything from them...
First, think 100 times whether it is worth saving!
Galaxy Watch 4, GPS stopped working! After talking with support, they offered to send them a watch for a test. Since the warranty period has not yet expired. After 1 month of testing, the store admitted that the watch was defective and could not be repaired and offered me a replacement, to send the same watch.
I agreed. The watch was sent, BUT in an open box and used. There are signs of wearing on the strap and scratches inside the strap holder. I wrote to support and attached a photo. The store is no longer in contact! Terrible service! I do not recommend ordering!
Outrages / AVOID
The worse customer service I have ever dealt with. Phone broke down after 1 month of usage, has taken them 2 months to take action (I was without the phone for 2 months), forced me to pay for parcel and repair. Phone broke down again 40 days after receiving it. Waiting week for response, just to be sent a video of the repair itself. There is 24 months warranty and the company is not willing to help. AVOID at any cost.
I gave my phone for repair under full warranty and now they say the phone was artificial damaged. I replied to their email with this but still no reply.
You say there is artificial damage in the picture can you please send me which one of my pictures/ video part showed the damage was from my side. I would like to see which area is artificially damaged. When i showed it to Samsung before informing you they didnt mention any damage that was caused by me. So how come your experts are telling there is a damage. If there was a damage Samsung Store would have told me that immediately on the spot. There is a difference between a scratch and a damage. Please show me
They just replied. Without showing me any proof of where the artificial damage was with this. How can the company be this stubborn about taking money from their customer. Below is the reply they gave
Hope you are well.
As stated in the previous email, we could help cover the repair fee for £100. That is the best we can cover.
If you would not like to accept our repair options, we can send the phone back to you unrepaired.
Could you please confirm if the address below is correct:
I asked for the proof. I didnt ask for them to be stubborn about not paying for the rest of the repair fee.
They sent me a picture where the phone had marks and below i will attach the pictures of the phone how i sent it to them so idk how that mark popped up.
I really wish I'd read the Reviews BEFORE buying from this company
I bought a new OnePlus 10 from them, when it finally arrived (after about 10 days) it didn't work properly and had a defective Fingerprint Reader. I contacted TiTB (only possible via email) and then I spent 2+ weeks exchanging emails with them to try to get them to give me my money back!
All they offered was constant suggestions on how to "reset the phone", providing out of date information and completely ignoring my UK Consumer rights. In the end a contacted PayPal and got PayPal to claim the money back for me
If you're looking to use this company, don't be blinded by the cheap prices. What you get is poor quality imported products (my phone came with a foreign charger) and HORRIFIC Customer Service. You can't phone them, everything's done very email and takes 48 hours for any responses, oh and they just ignore UK Consumer law.
Avoid, avoid, avoid - you've been warned
Do not buy anything from this company. I bought a Samsung Z3 phone from them, and they've admitted there's a fault with the phone, but refused a refund or replacement. Samsung won't fix the phone as it is not UK spec, it was made in Taiwan. There's no customer service and they won't answer my emails. Would never buy from this company again.
Bough a phone in August 21 which developed a fault I January (maybe February). Contacted them to arrange warranty repair. I had to pay for the shipping myself which is bad as it is. They kept my phone for 2 months and sent it back to be with issues not resolved. They have not done anything to repair the issue. And phone came back with a tampared glass screen rotector broken. Now trying to contact them again but they are completely ignoring my emails. Very dodgy company. Do not purchase anything from them!
It'´s a scam! The phone's screen arrived with dead pixels, then it broke. I returned as advised but no news since 2 months!
They do not respond to any emails.
After my iPad stopped working within 2 years I contacted techinthebasket via email and got a very quick communication (from Jessica)... even stating "we will keep in touch with you until the process is completed"!
After sending in numerous photos of the box, iPad and receipt, as requested, I expected a response in a reasonable amount of time. I got a email quickly back to say they'd received the photos and I would hear back from them soon (from Jerleen).
This was on 3rd March and I've since heard nothing back.
I've sent numerous emails back and rung customer services number *******594. This just reads a message 3 times and hangs up.
They've obviously realised that the iPad was in perfect condition (as per the photos), I had the receipt, it was within the 2 years warranty and they just didn't want to refund or issue a replacement product, as this one was clearly faulty!
As a result the customer service contact just stopped!
I have all the email correspondence from them and from myself.
AVOID this company with such poor customer service!
The only reason to use TiTB is their pricing.
These are grey market imports so you are taking a risk that if you have a warranty issue it's going to be a royal pain to send back.
The prices are potentially phenomenal though, I'd have struggled to find a second hand one for the same price, and saved over £200 on the brand new uk price.
As the products are shipped from overseas the shipping information takes an age to update and the less patient among us should avoid.
My phone arrived brand new and a month in is working as it should.
Should the handset develop a fault under warranty I am not sure my experience will remain the positive example it is so far.
If you value a bargain and are happy to take a gamble with international shipping and grey market warranty then you stand to save a decent amount.
If you want a uk warranty and next day shipping you need to pay the premium.
DO NOT USE THIS USELESS COMPANY. You may be lucky (and its is a lottery) and get your product on time. Many are not! I ordered a MacBook Air from TechintheBasket/IDS Hong Kong on the 23rd of December 2021 and paid for faster delivery. TiB told
Me that delivery would take 4 to 6 days, but in fact (DPD) tried to deliver it on the 24th of December when there was no-one in to accept it, so it was retained by DPD. I have since exchanged around 40 email messages with TiB who continue to tell me that they are waiting for the machine to be returned from DPD, but they continually say the same thing, and no actual progress on either delivery or refund is made. TiB refuse to provide any detail on their enquiry with DPD, will not provide a contact telephone number or the details of a senior customer service manager with whom I might discuss the issue. After 8 weeks I was no further forward. TiB had my money and my machine and I had no dependable assurance from them that they knew where the machine is, when I might receive it or when I might get a refund or replacement. Their communication is generic and non-specific, and in fact untruthful. This was only resolved by Paypal who refunded my money. Chris McIntyre
Scam site. DO NOT USE. They set up two fake deliveries stating no-one was home, when there was on both occasions. DPD, the delivery company is impossible to reach after the first phone call. Techinthebasket do not respond to emails. They sent one email stating my funds would be refunded. That was a month ago. Complete sham site. DO NO USE. You have been warned.
Purchased a xiaomi lite, 3 months old black screen intermittent, can't recieve or recieve emails, contacted them several times they asked for pictures of the box serial number, pictures of the phone front and back.
Still nothing, my wife is a cancer patient and a phone is very important, for which they have been informed of this!
Also no email can be sent or recieved.
I am dealing with a solicitor at present which heavenly relies on emails.
It a utter joke and not what they put out in their information it doesn't stop here.
Not good practice this phone is not fit for purpose that's the law.
Obviously trying their luck.
But with the wrong person as I deal in law
Don't buy from this company.
Mr d stoker.
Bought a new phone for nearly 950.00.
Paid 20 for rush delivery of 4 to 6 working days. 4 weeks later and no phone. They say DPD lost it and I would have to wait up to 30 days for an investigation. Beginning to suspect it was never sent, or someone working at DPD has a nice new Samsung. Opened a dispute with my credit card company and got my money back through the bank. AVOID THE BOTHER. PAY MORE AND BUY FROM A UK SELLER. 0 STARS!
As others have said, I was a little nervous given some of the bad reviews. But I wanted a particular mobile phone that's never been on sale natively in the UK and TechInTheBasket were one of the few people to offer to import it. They did a great job: it arrived after 2 weeks as stated, brand new, perfectly functional, with a UK power adapter bundled, and at a great price compared to other sellers.
Answer: The same happened to me. I think they ship in from China and until they receive it in the UK, the tracking is on hold. I suggest you give it a little time (they do say 6-8 working days on their website)
