Fo not go near this shower of crap I ordered a GoPro paid via my PayPal account when the order went through PayPal automatically put my old address as delivery address so I immediately contacted tech in the basket via email to change the address to my new address which they confirm by email they had done. They subsequently sent me a delivery email with a reference number that was not recognised by Royal Mail then I received a second email saying that my parcel has been delivered to my old address.
After apologising was told buy techinthebasket that I must go and find the parcel myself even though they had made a mistake telling me I must find out who lives at my old address.
Send them an email saying I want my money back for my goods delivered to the right address and they have ignored me so now I'm going to have to go through the rigmarole of claiming my money back via PayPal on my credit card company.
Bought a phone and sent it back for a refund. They are in China so it takes ages to get the refund and they keep 20% off the value of the item. Avoid them!
Purchased Garmin Fenix 5X watch which turned out to be a model for Asian market and it didn't have any European maps. They admitted their mistake only after I sent them written statement from Garmin. And even after that they didin't agree to return my money because I did no longer have the original package. Made a charge back claim to my bank (credit card company) and they returned my money right away and contacted PayPal who informed TechInTheBasket that they have to return the money. All in all this process took two months and I would NEVER purchase anything from Tech even if they were the last shop on earth! After my purchase they lowered the price of that Garmin item and it is now on sale around 150 cheaper than in any other online shop. They still try to screw people with a product that does not match the product prescription - and propably it is also fake! Trust me you DO NOT want to deal with these guys!
Very Poor Customer Service, DO NOT TRUST this company, as if an item be ( Faulty) they will not refund you full, they will put up some nonsense charges which make you regret of ever buying anything again from them - even when you been asked to return it for refund, they say you should receive your funds within 14 days from the day of return but do expect to be longer, as its normal to their business maybe 3 months would make them happy to keep holding you with no updates given whatsoever, As they kept holding me for 2 months and every email was sent to them got no response after 5 days, After waiting for 2 months in the end they refused to give me full refund, they are lairs - I Never Ever Buy Again From Them, it was my first time experiencing shopping with them but never ever will be back to them - I prefer Amazon next time as they have great customer service, I give 0 out of 10.
Recently purchased my DJI Mavic Fly More bundle from Techinthebasket, cane within 48 hours via DPD (selected the free shipping option) and a huge plus is that it was a UK spec, UK plug, UK barcode model all in the sealed DJI packaging, for the price i was expecting a grey import, not so and £380 cheaper than any of the "authorised dji resellers" Registered with DJI and UK warranty activated, also added DJI refresh with no issues. 5 stars, will be using them in the future!
Took a month, 22 emails, a threat of legal action to get my full refund (including return courier cost) for the Return of a faulty drone (Australian model sent btw).
Broke several promises and SLA's
They have no understanding of the consumer contracts regulations and tried to tell me they were exempt from UK law (Their domain is registered to a UK address).
Also, their customer service advisor from the phone number on their website advised me to take it up with Tech in the basket - implying he doesnt work for them.
Won't be risking another order with them.
I did not receive my order. I have sent several e-mails to the vendor but I have not received any answer over months. Only recently, they answered and wanted additional payments to send my order to me. I demanded a refund, however, the vendor has not answered anymore. I am now waiting for my money over 6 months now and have not seen a single Euro from them.
DO NOT BUY, you will not receive your order or see your hard earned money again!
Ordered a Nikon camera from this online company which turns out to be based in Hong Kong with London address of convenience.
Paid for item by PayPal however TechintheBasket / Digitalab Services Company / Shui Kin Bally Butt decided to place extra charges on top for which I had to go to PayPal to recover.
Provided with DPD tracking number with 3-6 working day delivery and elected via DPD site to have parcel delivered the following Wednesday. Waited in all day and no parcel. It turns out DPD had not even received parcel from TechintheBasket. TechintheBasket response was that they had taken two weeks holiday. So "Working Days" are their working days.
They have two "Helpline" numbers but don't bother wasting your time ringing them as they ring out with no option to leave a message.
I have no faith in claims of decent after sales service or claims of extended warranty so cancelled the order prior to delivery.
I would suggest that you give this company a wide berth. Pay a little more and be assured of receiving the genuine article, when you expect it and for the price you expect to pay.
Brought a Canon 80D and when it arrived it had clearly been opened and not even put back in the box nicely. Was not in a box when arrived, the the OE box it came in for was pretty dented, camera would turn on and took a month the get my money back! Got to HDEW instead!
Answer: The same happened to me. I think they ship in from China and until they receive it in the UK, the tracking is on hold. I suggest you give it a little time (they do say 6-8 working days on their website)
