This place is a joke. Ordered my daughters trial pair of lenses in August and they have yet to come in. Every time you call customer service its obvious that they outsource the calls. Needless to say I have since ordered her contacts from somewhere else. They have officially lost my business. I hope they go under.

Stanton sucks on Rock rd

Lady wouldn't listen to me, tried telling her glasses where blurry. She was rude saying are you gonna listen to me. Told me wear them 2 to 3 weeks & my eyes would adjust, WHAT? Then only 1 pair was ready & I drove from outta town. She basically called me a liar & said we told you 1 pair ready not both. NO! I wouldn't have drove to Wichita otherwise. 2 for $59 turned into $545 but after some unhappiness reduce it to $340. Still lied. DO NOT GO TO THESE SCAMMING RUDE PEOPLE. Guess they didn't like my Trump 2020 mask. Screw them, go elsewhere. RIPPOFF! Need to call state attorney general & file complaint. Glasses are useless. I finally left, tired of her argumentive attitude.

Mask

Horrible! HORRIBLE! I need help. How can you run a business with people that work there that treat customers real bad. Promises that were given to me over the phone while I was making my appointment. I kept on asking are you sure that I can bet my eyes check without a mask. He said oh yes mam. I promise you that you will get in just show your doctor's letter. Did and said I have wear a mask after reading my doctors letter.

This has been an absolute nightmare trying to get glasses and contacts. I have been back and forth to the store over a dozen times over the past 4 months and... due to lost paperwork, miscommunication between staff members, and over-booking, still do not have my contacts. And am now being told I have to wait another month because they forgot to submit my order. On top of that, the glasses we did receive are of an extremely cheap quality and don't last more than a few months. I will NEVER waste my time at this company again. I strongly do NOT recommend wasting yours either.

Too bad to say

Stanton optical not only has slow and bad service. It has taken over 2 month and i still haven't recieved my contacts. I haven't been able to speak to anyone about it. They dont answer phone so i will never use them again nor would i ever recommend Stanton optical

Unhappy all around

At first they seemed good compared to former prescription and though the selection was god-awful I decided to make do. The cheap glasses fell apart immediately. My fault, I should have known better and I sure do now. Customer service is non-existant. They were actually even kinda rude in the store. Hours on hold to get prescription emailed to me and never got anyone. I figure I'll just go get an eye exam it will be worth it to get better glasses and not deal with this circus again, STAY AWAY, NOT WORTH IT!

I have had astigmatism as long as I remember. I've never had blurry vision with contacts in or wearing glasses. Out of right eye with new script it was cloudy, I went back and doctor very rudely told me it was because of astigmatism and my contact wasn't for astigmatism, mind you they have that contact to me. I told him I've never had this before he said I would have to live with it. He then said I needed to give new script 5-7 days and come back because I would not give up my position that it was not correct. I went back today, still not correct. He told me to be quiet and he was the doctor and I have astigmatism and that is how it was and I was going to deal with it. If I wanted old script I could do that. I said old script wasn't cloudy but you said my prescription has changed so I must need a new contact, it something is wrong with this one. He opened the door and said get out. I said excuse me. He said you get out now. I said okay, do I get a refund. Do I get my script? Let me call someone because I'm not understanding... he said you get out now... I walked to the front and that lady was nice, but no refund, nothing... the doctor was so very rude both times I seen him. This was the biggest waste of money and month and half of my life wasted! I will be reporting them to BBB and everywhere I can too. This doctor is insane!

WORST SERVICE EVER

Staton optical in Stockton, CA on Pacific Ave is the worst. I spoke to a lady named Addie after being transferred around twice. She was rude and would not let me talk. I called in because my contacts were ordered and i wanted to cancel them because they said it would be 3-5 business days it was 5 business days yesterday and when trying to ask her then why say 3-5 business day she proceeded to interrupt me When I told her I wanted to speak to a supervisor she said she was the supervisor then I asked to speak to a manager she said she was the manager of the building. She kept interrupting me when talking would not even let me speak and stated to me, " Are you going to let me get a word in?" after I let her speak. Then I asked for a district manager she then said to me they dont give out the number its the weekend and they are not working. I told her I knew that and that I would call on Monday she refused and hung up on me. This is the WORST SERVICE EVER! My advice to anyone who choses to come here, DON'T waste your money go some where where you are treated kindly

Gloria our sale rep was, professional, friendly and helpful. She followed all Covid19 rules.
The store was clean and well stocked. All the other staff members were polite and greeted use with a hello.
I walked in and walked out with 2 pairs of glasses in less than an hour. They will always have my business.

Horrible
September 17, 2020

Service is horrible my husband had a glasses eye appointment scheduled at 1:10 and he didn't get called back for his exam until 2:50! We will never return I don't know what kind of system they have but people that were coming in after us where going back before our appointment... if you want to wait this is the place for you!

Knowledge of discounts

I have called 3 stores to inquire about an AARP discount. Not only were their customer service reps hard to understand, they knew nothing of a discount; they said they didn't know, or they would transfer me to the 'store', the number of which I had called. I expect someone who works in a store to know what major discounts they offer, and not put me off or transfer me, but provide the answer. Terrible customer service! Stephen

Tempted by their ads I should have read other reviews on the web. Their eye exam is done remotely by who knows who or where and typical yes/no flip the lens 10 seconds later flip some more. Communication with examiner difficult because of system and set up. They only correct to 20/40 which is minimum for state of Wisconsin. If you want 20/20 correction... go some place else. Employees are not cordial and some act like they don't really know what they are doing. The ad pricing is for dollar store type glasses is enticing but when you get down to real glasses they are significantly higher priced than any chain store optical I have ever visited. They are based on profit only, service is non existent. I was told glasses will take a month to get so 2 weeks into the process I'm waiting. If the end product is anything like what others have gotten I'll end up going elsewhere for real glasses.

Very deceptive and dishonest interaction. I spoke with Raymond that acted like he was at our local store. I asked about my insurance and he said I would have to come in to talk with an insurance specialist. I asked if I could speak with one now, he said they were very busy, I offered to wait and he just kept saying as a High Pressure salesman, I can schedule for this time or this time, so I asked to speak to a supervisor, he informed me a call back would be anywhere from 24-72 hours. I should have known it was a shady place. So I took the appointment and found out this guy does not even work at the local store. He is in a call center. Save yourself a bunch of stress and find an honest company that will be honest to you from the start. I will never go back. So sad they treat people like that.

Exam from a Doc in third world very broken English via Skype.
3 pairs out of five showed up NONE... O say again NOT ONE PAIR WAS CLEAR Or near focus!

Several phone calls and about 3 months later after the eye exam they claimed I received all Sets I paid for 5 pairs in all never saw the 4 or 5 units lolololo
Been 3 months now in fight with bank for money back.

There has been a month since I ordered my daughters and my glasses. I told them to ship glasses to my home. 2weeks later i received one of my pairs. Frames were correct but I couldn't see through lens. BY THE WAY I HAVE CALLED THE STORE NUMEROUS TIMES TO GET NO ANSWER) A week later my other pair came in. Wrong frames, correct lens. We were told to expect our glasses to arrive on 08/04/2020. As of today my daughters glasses has NOT arrived. I tracked her order and they are shipping her glasses to store. Why did I PAY FOR SHIPPING IF I WILL HAVE TO GO GET HER GLASSES AT THE STORE. TODAY, 08/20/2020 I WILL CALL YET AGAIN PROBABLY TO GET NO ANSWER AND NO HELP. I RATE STANTON OPTICAL A NEAGATIVE 10

The worst!

The customer service is horrible they overbook and make you wait hours to get seen. The hours more to get your order processed. They WILL NOT call you to tell you the glasses are ready, because their robo calling is "broken". Then my glasses were made wrong the messed up the astigmatism! The overall experience was a NIGHTMARE. In 50 years of wearing glasses this place was hands down THE WORST! Going back to America's Best!

Be prepared to wait

You had better pack a lunch. Patients are scheduled every 5 minutes. I had a 2:30 appointment and didn't get called into the pre test room until 4:15. Another 20 minutes before being called in for exam. Lastly, another 30 minutes to finalize paperwork with frames picked out and pay. 9 days now and I don't have my glasses. Do yourself a big favor and go to Walmart. I will not be going back to Stanton Opticle

Go Elsewhere!

Glasses were not ready by initial estimated date. Eventually 1 pair of glasses was ready although i had ordered two pair. When I went to pick up the 1 pair of glasses, a mistake had been made and only 1 lens had a prescription in it. How does that get overlooked? I was told by customer service that someone would contact me within 48 hours. No one has contacted me. I still do not have either pair of glasses. I cannot recommend Stanton Optical. There are plenty of other opticals that offer good service and reasonable prices. I am disappointed.
