Melissa, the so-called "manager," is the reason I'll never step foot in Stanton Optical again. She refused to honor their own two-for-one deal, spoke to me with an attitude, and made the refund process as rude and unpleasant as possible. I had referred three family members here—big mistake. Save your money, your time, and your sanity. Avoid this location and especially Melissa.
Don't trust Stanton optical. I ordered frames on line when they were 50% off. Never got the frames. I called their customer service twice and was just given the run around. I e-mailed the company owner and president stating problem and he did not respond. Next I will file a complaint with the BBB.
The bait and switch on exam and two pairs for 79? It's bull. My daughter's were over 200. I even tried to get an exam while I was there, and they had so many technical issues I gave up. Also could not understand the optometrist on the video. I'll get my exam ay a reputable optometrist, and order online.
Nothing is what it seems inside this store. You think you're going to visit an optometrist, instead you're dealing with people who don't have the qualifications to tell you what's going on. No optometrist onsite. All their prices on frames are scammy
I bought glasses at Stanton Optical and should have paid more attention to the glasses I received. Well past the 30 days I noticed they were crooked with the arms not set equally on both sides. I also found they did not follow my optometrist instructions and the left lens was improperly ground. Don't waste your time and money with Stanton.
I went in to the Stanton Optical experience blissfully ignorant of the MANY, MANY negative reviews. Unfortunately, I purchased a week before their third anniversary sale. Although customer service said they would give the 60 % discount, the store management wouldn't follow through. For shame, Stanton Optical!
It has been 25 days and theese people couldnt deliver me my glasses which are 10 days overdue, this place is garbage and a scam it doesnt deserve any buisness at all.
I have insurance first quoted almost a thousand dollars for 2 pairs, you have to remember I bought from them last year. When it was on our dayfront, name or ownership walked out with 2 pairs for less than $200.
Argued with the salesperson, she dropped it to 540 i wasn't going to pay $540.
End it up with 1 pair 450.
They have no clue what they're doing. During the eye exam, the person that was doing the exam felt like he was in another country. Reading off a script sheet wasn't happy with that. Most of the time, the technician was not in the room with me. Had to readjust the vision piece, you look through on my own. She had it sideways and uncomfortable.
When I went to pick the pair up, the person handed him to me. Said there you go see you next time. No adjustments, no fittings. Nothing at all, as far as help went.
This will be the last time I ever go to this establishment.

I have bought glasses here and the first pair was metal frames they cracked I thought the frame was to tight so I changed got plastic frames. Cracked again. They fixed them. Iv bought another pair the lens got air bubbles, talked to them about it they told me it was caused by heat! Lol. Ok got another pair did the same they keep asking me do I keep them in the heat all day well Iv got to wear them (excuses they give). They did fix them but I did have to pay a service charge. Well they did the same! I will not buy another pair with them again! Bad bad bad quality! And that is my eyes they are messing with!
I went to Stanton in Knoxville Tn about 1.5 years ago. I got my glasses and absolutely could not see out of them. Went back they adjusted the lens and still couldn't see. In the meantime the frames tore up. I went back a third time. They replaced the frames but told me they would not again. Still couldn't see out of them. He told there was nothing I could do and I must have been dishonest about my eye exam. So 1.5 years and 550.00 later still no glasses and have never received a phone call after calling customer support several times. Stay away from Stanton Optical.
Awful visit, they advertise 2 pair of glasses for $79. But that is not true, my 2 pair of glasses was over $600. I refused to pay the $600 but they stuck me for $109 for the eye exam which was suppose to be free. STANTON EYE IS A SCAM.1
I called to make an appointment and I specifically asked if our insurance was accepted. I was told it was. Fast-forward to our appointment and it turned out they dont accept our insurance. To put more salt in the wound the front desk woman was rude. Will never go here again

I thought that changing the name from My Eye Lab to Stanton would improve things, but I had the same negative experience with my eye care. They gave me the wrong prescription, providing a lower strength than I needed. When I tried the sample contacts, I couldn't see at all. Additionally, they won't refund my money, claiming they provided a service. However, I don't understand how someone can evaluate my vision accurately while sitting behind a camera or a screen. I do not recommend this place. I'm very upset.
Make sure before you get off the phone that they do except your insurance and do not let them tell you as they did me oh don't worry we except MOST insurances! They need to update there site and say we do not accept state insurance period, and it now 4:55 pm and they had already counted there drawer so I could not pay out of pocket, the lady was rude to boot! Waste of time,life, effort, and gas...Definitely would not recommend this business... Walmart it is!
Though the staff were friendly, the virtual exam was horrible. I'm certain my eyes were transposed during the left/right.
Sitting here typing my review without my Stanton eyeglasses on because they have fallen apart. I have had pairs from other opticians that fit comfortably and latest years! One pair I loved so much I wore them for over 5 years - my prescription hasn't changed in ages but I wear contacts too so go for annual exams. This was my first and certainly last visit to Stanton in West Palm Beach. I got an appointment speedily which was impressive. On arrival was told immediately by the almost apologetic staff member that the deal they offer on eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses was not applicable to prescriptions higher than 2.5 or 2.0 on some frames. The eye exam was cumbersome and lengthy and somewhat confusing to what I was used to. I was given very little assistance picking out frames and settled on ONE pair I did not really like and could not easily afford. About a week later I called since I hadn't heard from them and found they were ready. The lady who 'fitted' them - I use that term loosely - was brusque and seemed annoyed to be troubled with my trivial request to have them sit on my face right. I had to turn my head this way and that to focus my vision correctly - or as best as I could. After a few minutes of her stony stares and comments of "I had to get used to them"; something I had not had issues with in the past, I gave up and headed home, clutching my new, altogether too expensive shiny pair of look-seeing devices.
I did not indeed get used to them. The focal point was all off. They slipped when I moved, fell off if I bent over and were altogether too big. Now I was out double what they claim 2 pairs cost and feeling annoyed I should've spent my money elsewhere.

We Get There and it all starts over Totally misleading staff and horrible experience. Staff Not trained. Had me sit in room waiting for the "virtual exam" for thirty minutes. Then put me back in waiting area. Then to another room and could not adjust their equipment. Had me slide almost out of chair. And lean forward. The "virtual" examiner said I needed on site exam. However, it was going to be over a month out; as their doctor was out of the country. Odd for a large chain. Still wanted to sell me glasses, even though there was still work to be done. Then was going to do a referral. They said no one really does what the examiner just told me I needed. Three people up front tried to be argumentative and rude with my wife. Never again!
I ordered glasses on 9/20, I wasn't told until after I paid that they could not have the glasses until 2 weeks later, and guess what today is 10/7 which is over 2 weeks and the glasses aren't ready and they don't know when they'll be ready. Also the $79 for 2 pairs is bs, I paid over $413 for 2 pairs of their value collection so be aware. ITS ALL A SCAM
I called Stanton Optical for an eye exam. I spoke to somebody in a call center who gave me an appointment for Saturday at 5 o'clock at their Coral Springs location. Today I get a message reminding me of my appointment. 10 minutes later I get another message saying that they're rescheduling my appointment to a different time. 10 minutes later I get another text sayin they're rescheduling it again.
Then I get a call from a young girl at the company. She told me that she had to reschedule my appointment again. I asked her why I was getting so many text messages. Her answer which was snide stated she doesn't control the text messages. But she had to control the text messages since their office was the one trying to reschedule my appointment.
I did mention to her. It was the call center who gave me that appointment. Then strangely, she said that the call center has no idea of the times when the doctor is available. I thought that was a strange answer. I said, so you're telling me that when a customer calls and gets the call center they're just giving out bogus appointments? Believe it or not she said yes
I said, do you spend half the day calling everybody up and rescheduling everyone. She said yes. I thanked her, but I told her that I didn't want to go to a company that was so disorganized.
