I picked up my glasses yesterday and I cannot see out of them I told them when I could not see out of them she told me to give it a couple days but in a couple days I'm not going to be able to see out of them either. But after reading these reviews I see I'm not going to get a refund or another eye exam to replace the ones they messed up so I guess I will just take it as a loss. Bad thing is I found it on my insurance and I can only do it once a year. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
False advertising...we were charged for the eye exam although the website clearly stated the eye exam (whether for contacts or eyeglasses) would be free with purchase of 2 pair of eyeglasses which we did (actually 2 members of our family each purchased 2 pair). The website clearly advertises 99 for a contact lens exam which includes rx for glasses and clearly states the exams are free with purchase of 2 pair eyeglasses. But we were charged 95 for an eye exam plus 50 for contact lens fitting. The manager could not explain and said she had no ability to do anything about this. She said the eye exam is only free if you do not get a contact lens exam, despite the clear language in the ad on the website. Lots of high upcharges...anti-glare, blue light filter...
They a lot of really cool choice for eyeglasses and the prices are really good. Even if you want something cheaper, they still have a good variety to pick from. Unlike at the eye doctor, where the inexpensive eyeglasses are usually not very nice looking. The website is easy to use and navigate. You can even upload a picture of yourself and try on different eyeglasses right away. Personally, I go to my eye doctor just to get my prescription and then i buy my eyeglasses directly from Stanton Optical.

This review concerns the store located in San Angelo, Texas near the Walmart on Sherwood Way. This store had a conspicuous sign on its store advertising 2 pairs of glasses and a free eye exam for $79. I soon learned that this was nothing but bait and switch. They wanted to send me out to a certain eye doctor who charges $150 for the eye exam. Then they wanted to charge me over $300 for the eyeglasses. I don't believe that anyone actually gets anything close to what they advertise. It's just a come on to get people into their store. Then when you actually get inside you find out something completely different from what they falsely advertise. These people should be fined to the hilt and closed down.
It took a month to get my glasses. When they finally arrived, they had the wrong lenses and wrong frame (they sent me women's glasses). I called customer service 3 times. The store said they were picked up. Then they said they would arrive the next day. Then they were sent to my home (the wrong pair). So I returned for a refund. They did not want to refund even after everything I went through but eventually did. 4 days went by. The store said give it a couple of more days. Now it's been over a week.
WHAT is going on with your company?!? Nobody at the store has experience, they are all on their phone not helping anyone. The doctor is on a monitor and doesn't speak English. You can't call the store directly…instead you have to call customer service which is overseas and nobody there knows anything about optics either.
What a shady company!
I had my eyes examined at staton optical in January 2023, it's now March 2023 and no glasses. The first time the one pair came back, when I say pop bottle glasses I mean pop bottle glasses. I couldn't see my 75 inch TV with them on. I took them back and if course wrong prescription. 4.50 when I'm 1.50. Now I'm still waiting on them to come back again. I should have taken my behind to LensCrafters like I've been doing for years. Never ever will I go to staton optical again in life. Worst place ever. Wish I could give them a Zero!
