I've never done an online review before, but I wanted to warn others. I ordered three framed prints (for a total of $140) from society6 on September 15th. My bank account was charged the $140 that same day. Their website states that all items are shipped within 3-5 business days, and "if there are any local post office delays, routing issues, or bad weather, it may take up to 20 days."

I have still not received the product (I am posting this on October 30th). I went to the "contact us" page on the society6 website, and sent them a message. No response for 2 weeks. Then, I went on and sent them another message, including the transaction details I screenshotted from my bank statement. Still no response. This online contact form is the ONLY way to contact this wretched company - nowhere is there a phone number listed, or even an email address!

Additionally, the "order status" feature on the website does not work. When I enter my shipping email address and zip, I am told that there are "no orders found" and I am directed to contact them via the online message form. I am confident that I entered my email address correctly because I use an auto-fill function for forms on my computer.

Despite the beautifully designed website, this is the worst customer service I have ever received from an online company (which I had been told was legitimate). I urge you to think twice before ordering from them! Changing for the product, never delivering the product, and ignoring the customer's messages? This is by definition a retail fraud.

I've contacted my bank and they are currently in the process of creating a claim. I hope this horrid website has to face the consequences of their terrible service.

First I have to say I loved the Helen Green artwork of the 2 prints and 3 cushion cases I brought. The quality of the paper was good although the borders were wider than stated but the material the cushion covers were made from was rough. The reason for the bad review was the postage ripe off and the poor customer service. I ordered £60 worth of goods at a time of free international postage but ended up being charged nearly £40 import tax to receive the goods. When I complained that the claim to offer free international postage was false their only response was to say they are not liable for the fee. When I asked why they don't state on the site that you will be charged this fee they agin simply replied they aren't liable. Had I know about these charges bi would never have made the order.

If they treat their customers as poorly as they treat their artist, I'm hoping they'll either change or sink. Horrible service for artists. Avoid this site!

I went to order a pillow. They charged me for 3 pillows. Their website indicates they DO NOT do refunds of any kind. I surely didn't ask for 3 pillows, their web app did something ridiculous. So I emailed them and told them I would make a big fuss if they didn't refund my money. So they sent me an email saying they would.

A month later, my money has not been refunded. They sent me a screen shot of THEIR paypal transaction and told me I had to get a hold of paypal. Paypal can't see the transaction in my account history because I didn't pay for anything with paypal, but that is clearly not Society6's problem.

Still no refund.

Terrible website
September 29, 2013

Terrible website. The prices shown do not include customs charges. Bough £20 worth of items as I was advised this was under the customs limit and incurred a £15 customs charge (£7 custom tax, £8 admin fee for the tax) and told that I had two weeks to pay or my items would be destroyed.
Had heard bad reviews of this website before but stupidly thought buying something small/cheap would avoid problems.

Artist-wise, you get a ridiculously small % of royalties.

If I could rate 0/5 stars, I would.

First of all, impossible to contact.

Artwork choice is unparalleled, but I bought walnut frames which turned out to be plastic frames in walnut colour with chips on the corners, and had to pay £20 customs fee which I wasn't informed of when I bought my products.

So all in all, I paid £50 for delivery. For very small light items. A bit unforgivable.

I bought an iPhone case from here, and it didn't fit perfectly onto my phone. It also started to have cracks in it after 5 days of using it.

Seriously, stay away!
September 7, 2013

Seriously, stay away! These criminals will steal money from artists outright! No matter what price you set, you will never get more than 10%. If you ask customer service ( what a joke) a question, they will give a canned answer that has nothing to do with your question. If that is not enough the quality of their merchandise is so low that it will ruin your brand. Never again!

After spending HOURS uploading most of my original art, I was blocked out of my own account and am unable to get a real answer as to why from anybody there. Now Hi-Res originals of my art are in the hands of this shady, $#*!ed up company. I don't know about buying from them, but I know trying to sell has been a horrible rip-off and I feel violated as an artist.

Ordered a pillow from the website 2 days ago, only to have my order cancelled today.
I just a received an email from society6 stating that my order had been cancelled, with absolutely no clarification as to why.

If a company can't even take the time to let me know why they would cancel my order, they are not worth it.
Never ordering again.

I'm a artist on this website and I have had plenty of trouble with them. I could kick myself for reordering. At one point I thought that I was ordering outdoor pillow covers because that is what they were promoting. I got indoor pillow covers with inserts which I didn't want. They also took a month to get to me. One was marred with black lines. I did get a response from them and offered to send them back but they did credit my visa for them and didn't ask me to send them back. That part was good except they shouldn't have promoted a product they couldn't produce. Anyway, I ordered 3 more pillows on Aug. 8th and they arrived today the 21st. The colors are not good. White looks gray and other colors are muddled, and the pillows are poorly made. I guess I am going to have to shut my account because I don't want people to buy my art and get such bad quality.

I purchased a cushion cover and matching art work from this site on 28 June
Total cost was $225.
About 4 weeks later my cushion cover turned up on its own.
I then asked where my art work was and they said it had been lost in the mail and another will be send out. I can't track the item and am feeling very very ripped off.
I sent a complaint in with my request for tracking details the lady just replied with the tracking (which didn't work) with HO apology or anything.
I feel as though I have wasted over $220 on this scam of a website!
Anyone know how to get my money back from them?

While the artist's design was great, the t-shirt they printed on is very cheaply made and literally thin as tissue paper. I'm sure after a few washes will fall apart.

I went to this site, with recommendation that it was a good site to find cool art. While I agree that the art is cool, I am extremely disappointed with the site itself. I went to buy a $30 poster, which is already over-priced in my mind, and was VERY disappointed to see that it came with a $10 shipping fee. $10 FOR SHIPPING A POSTER?!?! Unfortunately, this fee was not shown until I unknowingly purchased the poster. When going through Paypal, it says it will go over all pricing before submitting, but once you go back to the website, it confirms your order, at that time, FINALLY showing the outrageous shipping, with what seems like no way to cancel the order without calling customer service and dealing with them. I will never be ordering from this site again, no matter how cool the art may be.

Ordered an iPhone case, but what I received was nowhere near their site's mockup (huge difference in color, with a large chunk of the art cut off). In addition to this, it arrived already scuffed and scraped. And it has these little pock marks in several places, I think from little airbubbles in the plastic. At this point, I'm just sitting here debating whether or not I should just cut my losses and run, or try my hand at getting a replacement/refund. Hmm.

I will definitely never order from this site again.

I have purchased from Society 6 before in 2012, and earlier this year but NEVER had to pay for custom duties. Today I had to pay $14.75 in customs for a $35 iphone case! This is unacceptable.

I ordered during their "Free Shipping" promos, and got a nasty surprise when I had to cough up money or not get my case. This is definitely a new low that I have experienced with online shopping... and they have definitely lost a customer.

This site should get -negative stars. Society 6, you suck! (Plus the quality doesn't warrant a $35 price tag for a iphone case). Unimpressed.

I ordered two cases, one iPhone 4 case and one iPhone 5. One came warped and didn't fit properly and was also completely different colors than it should have been and the other was very blurry and dark, I could hardly see the detail. I contacted them about it and received the replacements for both. The colors of one replacement was still off and the other replacement was printed a little bit better but came with a lot of scratches on it. I told them it had scratches and they offered another replacement. When I received that it had a lot of scratches too.
Aside from all of that, their cases are pretty bad quality. They crack and get scratches very easily.

I am so disappointed in this website. I ordered a fairly expensive skin, but when it came in the mail (after almost three weeks of waiting) the quality of both the item and the art was terrible. The image was washed out and blurred and you couldn't read the words that seemed so wonderful on the digital image. The worst part is the website has no return policy, so you're stuck with a cheap and defective product. I really wish I'd read some reviews before wasting my money!

The artists produce really great work and I think Society 6 is a great way to give them some exposure. However, Society6 really needs to learn how to do business.
I had been admiring their iPhone cases for a while, and was excited to find that they now had iPad cases. So I purchased one- it cost me $60. Unlike some of the reviewers, I had no problems getting my product.
My issue is the iPad cover itself- it was a lot thicker than I had thought and added bulk and weight to my device. I looked into returning the case, but alas, Society6 does not have a return policy unless your item is defective.

I also had a lot of trouble removing the case from my iPad. It would not budge.
I spent days trying to remove the case.
I finally lifted the corners by inserting an itunes gift card into the small crack near the speaker and managed to get it off.
The Society6 website tells you how to put the ipad cover on, but not how to take it off.
I really wish they had some sort of return policy- I just wasted $60.
