This company cancels my flight and they won't want to give my money back. I have been calling too get the money back
My flight was cancelled and they never alerted me. When I tried to check in with the airline nothing came up… it was as if it vanished. After speaking to a customer service rep I finally figured out it was canceled. I was promised a refund in 7 to 10 days and I never received it. After contacting customer service again, they told me it was still processing and then I wasn't getting the full amount back… I will have lost 200$, which is ridiculous. Still I have yet to receive it almost a month later… very disappointing!
I bought tickets from smarts fares in 2020 and paid extensions to travel until this year 2023 and now they say they can't find anything. My credits are lost and it was over $1400.00!
I've called them too many times in the last month and they keep hanging up on me, say they don't have my money or that they will return my call. They never do. I have spoken to over 15 reps and all of them do the same thing. They are very unprofessional. I don't trust this site at all.
This is the worst place to reserve your flying tickets they changed my flight layover from chicago to instanbul from 1:50 hours to 13:00 hours i called them to try and fix it they would hang up on me. Finally they picked up after calling them 100 times and did not want to here it they asked for an extra 300 dollars for person that would come up to 1500 dollar for our family they are scammers. Do not buy ticket from them
This company deserves 0 stars. Don't bother booking unless you want to be scammed out of at least $100 with hidden fees and booking that is at high risk for not being confirmed without your notice. I was not notified that my flight was not correctly booked and had to purchase another ticket by paying an extra $400... was on the phone with customer service who were exceptionally rude and HORRIBLE. NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS SHOULD YOU USE THIS COMPANY!

I purchased international flights, but then the flight was cancelled on the airline side, so technically OTA (smartfares) could just change the ticket for free. But smartfares was not cooperating like a normal OTA should do, I got treated very badly every time I called them, they are THE MOST AGGRESSIVE customer services I EVER experienced. They insisted me paying "change fee" for the airline initiated schedule change, or just a refund (the price increased a lot when I contacted them, so no way), and keep saying they could not change the ticket.
Never have I had issues booking flights and getting to and from places. I travel frequently, and it is straightforward. First you book, then you get a reservation, confirmation and details. I was not provided with a confirmation number prior to flying and when trying to call Customer Service was answered 9 times and spoke to a representative. All 9 times I was hung up on, none of which I was unprofessional in any manner. I figured something was wrong with the line; however, I just verified that it works and it was done in an egregious manner. I am now out $500 and had to buy a new ticket to Costa Rica. All said and done, I am at a $850 loss due to premiums and faulty issuance. Will obviously never trust anything with the name SmartFare on it again.

I will never use these guys again. They are awful. We paid over $900 for flights with them and needed to make a change. They wanted to charge us nearly $800 for a change to two days earlier, when it says it had a $66 change fee. They have a cancellation fee but when you try to cancel they have all sorts of other costs they don't mention anywhere else. They ended up refunding $66 per person. We ended up booking new tickets on Expedia rather. Disgusting.
I bought a ticket with this company in February to travel in June. The only reason I bought with this company was because they had an option to be able to book my seats, for a fee of course.
When I had paid already and went to the link to book the seats, the link didn't work. Since that day I have called them many times to fix the problem and their customer service is terrible. Their call center is outside North America, India I'm guessing, and they don't care to help you in any way. A few days away from my trip they told me to book them at the airport.

I have book a flight from the US to Africa for September. A week after booking I reached out to see if I could switch the Area where I would arrive, I found a flight cheaper than the one I had booked, But I was told I'd have to pay an additional $758 to switch my flight.
Yes I realize there would be a fee to switch flights but 758$ is ridiculous. And for this reason I will never ever use Smartfares again and I will be sure to let everyone know not to use Smartfares when traveling as well.

The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!
