I rented a Van full 6 for 2 days I poke it up at 10 o'clock in the morning I don't all of my work in one A-day I brought it back at half 8 the following morning which wasn't even 24 hours We cycled on 100 pounds at a solidly if I use the Van for 2 days it would be £200 pounds I brought it back less than 24 hours and they told me you will receive £100 pound back and £200 I gave deposit Everything was fine I got an invoice 3 or 4 days later where they took 157 pound out of my card And now they're giving me excuses Don't use 6th because 6th means £60 Extra when you leave their door so if you want to hire a motor go somewhere other than this or it will cost you a dearly
My wife and I had to cancel our trip to Florida because of Covid 19. Sixt charged us a $135 cancellation fee! I'll never do business with them again!
Rented car a hundred times, never burnt like i have been by this company.
Did not see the fine print they only allowed 160 miles on a 4 day rental.
Now what should have been a 120.00rental at all the other car counters, turned into 400.00.
They got me, and they never will again, as well i going to post this same review anywhere and ever-were.

Run from there counter, don't drive!.
Do NEVER use this «company» SIXT (Croatia, A-Anticus). Do stole a money from accounts for fictional and feigned damages that they generated by themselves! Disgusting service!
Ordered on line through Priceline.com. Husband got roped into a bunch of unnecessary add-ons. When I called to cancel them, they don't have any phone service or live chat during covid, so you have to write them an email. Took them 3 weeks just to ask me what I needed.
Besides poor customer service, they didn't give me the car I paid for. I paid for a luxury sedan. I got a Ford Escape.
I had to cancel my trip to California because they were shutting down again for Covid 19. I got total refund from Air Line and hotels but not Sixt. I had a car rented for 7 days but they still made me pay for 3 days with a cost of $100. I sent in a request for total refund because of the epidemic but they kept sending generic responses to my emails. I will not use this company again. They are benefitting from this. Shame on you guys
This rental company is a scam. Unwilling to co-operate with travel restrictions. Not willing to issue refunds. Instead, they are charging every customer 239 USD for any cancellation related to COVID-19.
I travel for business quite frequently. I usually use Enterprise for travel but decided to give SIXT a try. I had never used them before but had seen there Kiosks at the airport and they interested me. I booked travel to the work Convention. In Florida for this August many months ago. Then came the Chinese Virus. Well, all the conventions I work on were canceled this year. Every company I travel with bent over backward for me to give me full refunds. Until I came to SIXT. They refused to give me my full refund, I got some back then a voucher for the difference. I tried to plead with them for the entire thing, especially since there are no SIXT anywhere near where I live, but they wouldn't budge. So, I will not be going back top this company for anything every again. I cant believe they would treat a client this way. I could see if I just canceled and the the whole world wasnt half closed. Bu this is ridicoulous.

I scheduled a cruise for July 2020. Who knew there would be a pandemic. I also wanted to rent a car while visiting Seattle pre-cruise. I paid for my car through Sixt. Now, no matter which way I try, I can't seem to get a refund. Everybody else - all hotels, cruise line, airline have refunded. Not this company. My next stop is the Attorney General for Consumer Affairs. Don't know what else to do. Next time, I'll use Hertz.
I rented a car that was canceled due to covid after months I finally got a voucher for the rental unfortunately the wedding was not rescheduled within the timeframe the voucher was good for. We finally traveled to another city Sixt has cars (there are few in the US). Our flight was delayed and we arrived at the rental counter at 7:05 they closed at 7:00. We called their customer service number thinking there would be someone at the return area and we would be able to get a car. We were told we would have to come back the next day to get a car. We were unable to spend the night at the airport so I canceled the reservation. I thought they would deduct a day of the rental since we didn't get a car. WRONG! They canceled the entire voucher! -$800+ and no car - TOO BAD! No refunds no new voucher! They must have made a lot of money due to COVID! I will never rent from this company and will tell all my personal and business associates about this experience
Just received a phony damage report (with no information on it) nearly a month after returning the rental to the Las Vegas McCarren location. The claim says they are still compiling the damage information and I should report a claim to my insurance, HA! I have reported them to my insurance company as attempting insurance fraud. We'll see how they like that.
Make sure you go over the car with a fine tooth comb before leaving the lot with car. Be prepared to get down on your hands and knees. Note every scratch or nick. This may be difficult if its dark but it is necessary if you want to avoid being billed for EXISTING damage. Also if you are accused of any damage and want to utilize the coverage provided by your credit card note that some card services require you notify them within 60 days. Sixt may not notify you of damage until after 60 days of the original rental period thus rendering your card's coverage useless.
They are a bunch of crooks. It's like dealing with trump and his cronies. We have a health crisis and they won't refund prepaid reservations citing it was a binding contract. You try to call them and wait 15 minutes for somebody to answer the phone. The only reason I gave then 1 star is because you couldn't give them 0 stars. Stay away, read other reviews and take heed. They are out to rip you off.
After making a reservation for mid April and paying the money back in early January, my trip has been cancelled cue to Corona Virus concerns. I notified Sixt over a monty prior to my arrival and was tolld that they didn't care about the CoronaVirus situation and would only refund about 1/4 of the money paid. What a cheesy, slimy busiines and I was warn anyone wanting to =rent a car to avoid them at all costs. They are not customer friendly.
We rented a car on Maui and we were given some hype on the "prepaid" gas; how convenient it would be. I had the impression that they would top off the tank and charge me for what we used. Trouble is that one is charged for the full tank regardless of what is used and that was never mentioned. My prepaid charge was $73.00 and I brought the car back 1/3rd full. No credit was given. When I asked about it afterwards, I was told that even if I returned the car with a full tank, the charge stands. How hard would it be to tell us that before we paid the fee? My opinion is that duping the customer is a lousy way to do business
Would never rent from them again. I booked with them for the week of Christmas. When I arrived at the Phoenix airport, they informed me that even though I had all my information (reservation numbers, etc), they could not rent to me because my ID's didn't match perfectly. My license has Theodore as my first name, but all my credit cards are under Ted. Their policy is that they must match exactly. Ridiculous! I've never had this happen before with any other car rental company. Nowhere do I recall such disclosures in my booking. They had my info beforehand and yet nothing was said until I arrived to pick up the car. Because this was Christmas week, there wasn't another car rental to be had. I was screwed. This was my first, and last rental with Sixt. Bah Humbug!
Rented a car, purchased all the insurance they had. Returned the car with no issues noted.
3 weeks later I receive a bill for $502 for a scratch they say was found after check in.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
We rented a car in Munich. I ordered the gold plan to expedite through the lines more quickly. This cost $24.00. When I arrived, they only had 1 line called the gold line. Total rip off option. I waited over an hour to reach the desk. We were told to tell the attendant to change our gps from German to English. We never saw an attendant. The car wasn't properly cleaned. After a few days on the road the dash said to adblue. I didn't know what this was. I found out it's an additive. I had to pay 10 euro to buy a bottle and add to the car. This should have been done prior to our departure. I shouldn't have to pay for it. If nothing else, they should reimburse me for the adblue and my $24 Gold line cost. Of course, I don't expect to hear from anybody.
They simply charge twice then cannot correct the fraud. After leaving the rental place they sent me a cartoon claiming damage to th invisible bottom of the bumper. Avoid these fraudsters!
Sixt service desk employee was very nice but ignored our online invoice and completely overcharged us again on a new invoice. We are at a loss of 543.00. We are going to let our credit card company handle it. Sounds like they do this bait and switch scam a lot!
