I sent 2 separate shipments while moving overseas.
Send My Bag promised 2-3 day delivery from the USA to EU. It's been several weeks and still no hope of delivery.
SMB has you complete all sorts of paperwork and forms with the promise of handling everything from there.
However, for the first shipment, DHL later contacted me and demanded multiple pieces of paperwork, and a handwritten inventory list in spite of the fact that I provided all of this information already to SMB. Further, DHL kept emailing me again and again stating that my paperwork was wrong or missing. Mind you, I'm in a new country, with limited access to things (since they were PACKED and shipped). I've made multiple trips to a print shop. Luckily I had a translator.
For the 2nd shipment, SMB gave DHL NOTHING whatsoever. DHL contacted them for more information, and SMB completely ignored them. After contacting DHL for about the 5th time, they finally disclosed this issue, and then told me I had to receive and return the paperwork immediately or risk my items being returned to the States!
What is even the purpose of SMB? DHL has been such a hassle, I may as well have gone with them directly and paid less. SMB has done absolutely nothing except hand off all responsibility and refuse to help.
On top of all of this, SMB emailed me and said my boxes were oversized, demanding more money. Mind you, these are standard box sizes. Not some boxes I created. The sizes are printed directly on them.
Save yourself the trouble. Don't bother, SMB is worthless as a service.
This booking went very well apart from a delay outwards at Penzance which Send my Bag sorted.out.

Couldn't have found a more friendly and value for money company.when we lost our suitcase we are in Scotland and our case was in Manchester. They made it so easy thought it might be a scam. But everything turned out perfectly fine
Really easy and great price, pick up dead easy and my stuff arrived so fast
I host exchange students who, at the end of their exchange year, often need to send more stuff home than when they came. We used SendMyBag this year to send a bike and some other things back to Europe. Overall, it was an easy experience. The price didn't end up being much cheaper than USPS or FedEx, but the items arrived safely and on time.
The instructions on the website were a bit daunting so i called the service line /use the inhouse chat service and they were so helpful and polite every time.

The pick-up was really easy. The post man even called me to tell me he will be there soon. I could track my shipment which was really nice, too. I would definitely recommend this company!
Everything went perfectly smoothly, no unexpected delays or additional fees. Customer support was very helpful with all my questions. If you follow the instructions, you won't have problems. If you do have problems, it's probably your own fault.
I was really happy with the service I received. I just found it a little expensive.

The company is excellent and the service is first class. Sadly due to Brexit the required custom forms are a pain in the proverbial, this is not the company's fault.
Never used the service before, so wasn't sure what to expect. It was an easy process, and very well priced. Would use it again in a heart beat.
I was rly worried shipping my bag all the way from Hawaii to uk but it arrived no problems. Would defo use again.
Since writing this review - Send My Bag made good! A highly efficient and caring customer service exec expertly handled my claim and provided superb customer satisfaction. It's frustrating when consumers must take time to complain... but it's great that this company ended up listening!
Send My Bag is refusing to take responsibility for their damage. I shipped following their instructions. They didn't recommend or require I take photos showing that I wrapped my suitcase before they picked it up. They also don't require that the item is wrapped. They recommend it to protect "from rain." My suitcase arrived with a noxious petroleum odor and stains all over the front, back, bottom and sides. Additionally, stains and odor cannot be removed from three expensive items that were packed inside. They had the audacity in an email to claim I can't prove they are the ones who ruined my stuff. As though I dumped petroleum on my own prized possessions. I don't have the time for these kinds of hassles. As the paying customer, I shouldn't have to beg for a company to make good on damage that's obvious in photos they caused. If consumers have to start documenting every last little thing that is done when they hire a company, we'll have time for nothing else in life. It's a no brainer I wouldn't cause the damage. I'm the one who spent money to have my items arrive at my *******@sendmybag needs to own up for their mistake, instead of blaming the customer and looking for every excuse to get out of it. It's disgraceful. The whole experience makes me sick.
Answer: Scam, additional charges added, no explanation and letters of demand following, this is not an ethical business.
Answer: Avoid sendmybag if you can Would give a negative rating if I could. Had 2 bags delivered, they lost one and damaged the other. On top of that are now refusing to process a claim. I have read other reviews to know they do this on a regular basis. Companies like this shouldn't be allowed to operate. 0 marks for doing there job and a definite negative on customer support.
