Ordered what was described as real carbon fibre, they were bow ties for my camaro totally dissapointed as were 9 out of 10 friends of mine. HYDRO CARBON IS A JOKE.
Received my 2 tone red and black chevy bowties for my Camaro and they look amazing. Although they took a little time and a few follow ups with my order. Overall I'm very pleased with the outcome.
This customer service is honestly the worst. The lack of communication. I've been trying to get a hold of them for a week and they still have yet to respond to me. I try to cancel and order or ask where my product is and I get nothing from them. Go else where with your business as they don't add clarity to their business model.
Made an order 2 months ago and still haven't received my order, Getting through to someone to find an update on order has been a nightmare. Finally got someone on the line today and was told another two week spoiler was in paint shop I could have painted 100 spoilers by now do your self a favor and stay away. Gonna give them by end of next week and if it doesn't arrive I'll be contacting my credit company for a refund.
I ordered a waterfall for my corvette and I have sent multiple e-mails and left multiple voice mails with absolutely no response. After waiting 8 weeks I was finally able to get In touch with someone on the 28th of May and was told I would receive it the middle of June. After Not receiving the product I was finally able to talk with someone the end of June and was told it was in QC awaiting shipment. It has now been 3 weeks and still have not received it. Now I cannot get any response from Customer service or anyone to return my voice mails. Extremely poor customer service.
I don't like giving Companies bad reviews in general, and even more so during this virus outbreak. However... RPI Design definitely deserves this. This process started nearly three-and-a-half months ago, with me ordering two parts for my C4 Corvette. According to the website these parts "were" available and could be shipped. So I paid my money and the long process of waiting started. After two months and many, many phone calls (where I spoke to Paul, who I believe is the owner of this business). I got the same story; "they're back-ordered." So I asked approximately when they might be available and he said he had no idea, but they should be shipped soon. "Soon" turned into several more weeks with more phone calls and I finally decided to just cancel the order. The very day I canceled, the website updated with "order shipped." So I thought, okay... they're on their way finally. Another week of waiting... UPS finally delivered and when I opened the box, only one of the items I ordered had been delivered.
Another phone call to RPI, and I told Paul-listen, let's just cancel the order... as I found the item somewhere else. He basically refused to cancel it, saying he "had to check" to see if it had been shipped. He said he would get back to me in a couple of hours.
Two days later I wrote him an email demanding that they cancel the order and refund my money. I still have not heard back from them.
Avoid this company like the plague! Their customer service is atrocious. They do not answer phone calls. They do not respond to emails. I'm sure I'll have to go to the Better Business Bureau to get my money back.
I ordered an intake cover for my 2000 Corvette; pictured on the site in three places as a 1 piece unit. I t arrived as two pieces in the box their vendor provided, but cut down to disguise the fact that it was in two. It cut so roughly that it looked like one or more small pieces was missing. Assuming they were playing straight i wrote:
"Gentlefolk,
I received my order (*******) today. You may have a bigger problem than a broken shipment. As you can see, the two pieces of the item do not fit together, indicating another small piece or pieces that were not in the undamaged box, suggesting the item was broken when packed." I later noticed that there were other problems with the package, and quickly wrote and included the first picture:
"I also just noticed that there was no attachment tape in the box nor a flange on the item to attach it to the plenum. If this is the design I will require a refund."
Paul at RPI replied:
"I sent it to manufact but I don't see any issues with it"
"I began to suspect the hustle I was up against and wrote:
You did see that it was broken? I did say the box was totally undamaged. How does my vendor, RPI, propose to resolve this for their customer, me?"
He replied:
"Where it's a 2 piece design?"
I called them up on this one and when I pointed out that it is advertised as a one and nowhere said it was two piece, he replied; "I never said it was one piece"
And I now knew, so I contacted the credit card and let them know what was up before I wrote back:
"Paul,
Is this what you meant when you said yesterday that you would "take care of me"?
And to think, I came very close to ordering an aftermarket hood along with this. But I decided to try this first and see how it went, because sometimes the reason for low prices is not good. So, now you have shown me what you are; and what RPI is.
You have gotten your last order from me, but you haven't heard the last of this one; not by a long shot."
So I wrapped up with this rundown copied to the credit card co.
"Mr. Morris
There was no installation tape as previously noted when I thought you might be as victimized as I was by this, what shall I say; scam sounds strong, but oddly seems to fit when joined with your patter.
There were no instructions provided.
The parts neither butt together nor overlap smoothly and aesthetically.
The is no flange(s) (as shown on competitive products) for affixing it to the plenum; although there are places on the edge that appear broken,
The RPI site displays it as 1 piece only, in several places, and nowhere mentions or depicts it to be 2 part.
The box that it came in has been cut down from a longer one (probably the OEM one) in order to appear to be the size for the broken parts and not advertise the nature of the contents; an unmistakably deliberate attempt at deception by... someone.
My C5 has 8 humps in the plenum counting the firewall end as provided for in the design of the product and in your site's photos.
But as you suggested I tried it in overlap, do so also (as if you need to) when you receive it and count the humps, with an overlap you will, like me, come up with 7,1 short. Intact and, of course without an overlap there would be 8. A "piece of work" indeed, two actually, I guess.
I will do you the courtesy of returning it/them, your stuff, when I receive a prepaid label.
Excuse me, now where were those review sites?"
This clown then said he wanted it back and insisted I pay for the return.
I am expecting he'll claim he didn't get it and the only place I'll get the money back is postal insurance. Thankfully there a just few reptiles like Paul Morris at RPI on the web, but do business with these grifters at your peril.
Been waiting for my order for two months now, I have contacted customer service a total of 10 times, and have only received two very short and mundane responses back from them. Do not buy from this business ever.
The site said items ship within 24 hours on a business day, but it took week to ship it and a week to even answer any of my emails about it's shipping status. Like others have said, they are just a 3rd party vendor for the most part, who doesnt really care about customer service the same way as ordering directly from a parts company. That said, they are a legit company, but just be prepared to wait longer than average after ordering.
Faulty product delivered but not readily apparent. Admittedly a few weeks past their return date, I simply tried to get an official response on whether they could do something about it. After four messages to their supposed Contact they didn't have the decency to even respond. What kind of Customer Service operation doesn't even bother to respond even if it is to say we can not do anything.
Ordered a spoiler 2 months ago and have tried numerous times to contact to get a status update and have never heard back from anyone. Horrible service because there isn't any.
I ordered a C6 Spoiler, waited almost 2 months and website continued to have posted "being customer painter". Called and called, never an answer. Email and email, no response. Finally get a response that it was being shipped the next day. Finally, it arrives and it's a little piece of plastic, obviously NOT customer painted and NOT what I ordered. Was told I could return for refund. It's been 2 months, NO refund and NO response to phone calls. NEVER, EVER AGAIN!
Ordered a simple waterfall $530 its now been 10 weeks and no product. Pathetic customer service. Sent numerous messages no response.
Purchased billet camaro kick panels. Arrived with a flaw in the paint. Numerous messages no replies. Reported to their state bbb. What ever they sell, you can purchase elsewhere, and more than not, not have the issues.
I called first to get some upholstery materials for a corvette. I was told that they only sell premade kits. I called around to other suppliers and due to covid19 I was unable to find materials in stock elswhere. I called back and asked about the kits again. The guy "Paul" said to me "you already called here and I said I couldn't help you" then Promptly hung up as I was starting explain that I wanted to purchase the kits. I couldn't believe it. They now won't answer my calls. Unbelievable unprofessionalism I haven't experienced anywhere else. Stick with Ecklers for good service and reliable parts.
I have purchased mustang parts from this company a few times and I always enjoy talking to Joe and customer service is always so polite.
I had ordered a stripe kit for my 2018 Camaro and I had taken the kit to a licensed 3M installer and they said to ship this vinyl kit back as it's not the vinyl that 3M would even suggest for a vehicle.
So I shipped it back in its original sealed condition packaging.
RPI comes back with that the package was not in resaleable condition and that they then declined my request for a refund and kept their cheap vinyl stripe kit.
Then they tried to say that this choice was left to the manufacturer. Wrong as I ordered straight from RPI designs and the package was also sent to RPI designs.
So I'm disputing such with my bank.
So beware of this straight rip off company. Oh and check out their reviews on their own website. Not one single unhappy customer. Lol. Imagine that.
I have a 2018 mustang GT and I have to say I have purchased all of my parts from these guys. Do you have a great selection and the prices are really the best I can find on the entire Internet.
I bought from Joe many times, they have the best parts, good selection and the best prices. I had a Camaro before and got a lot of stuff for that too.
They have the best painted parts available. I love this place and I always use them for my Mustang parts.
