I would give zero stars

Do not use this site. The room was supposed to be 49 dollars they charged 89 Dollars. When arrived at hotel was charged again they said no payment was on file. Customer service would not refund the money.

Warning these people are scammers set reservations go to the motel well tell her no information try to call they took $200 off my credit card couldn't retrieve it back very nasty people on the other end how to dispute with my credit card company and won if you're thinking about using this company don't they will screw you over then they ended up charging me $100 more than what the hotel was thank God the person at the hotel helped us out if you think you're saving just called a hotel disease people will screw you over thanking you're going to save money

Site Spoof

Scumbags! Attempted to book a Vancouver Hotel from the Marriott website. Somehow, they spoofed the site and I ended booking through Reservations.com unbeknownst to me. Had they send a confirmation email I would have realized right away. Received my Visa bill two days before the reservation and realized that I had booked though them and charged in US dollars +/- $300 more than I would have paid through Marriott. I called to Reservations.com to challenge reservation after receiving Visa statement informing that we would be challenging their charge as is wasn't our intention to book with US 3rd party and, from Vancouver Canada, would not book a room in Vancouver through a US company and pay in US dollars. Reservations.com representative was very combative. Indicates no cancellation because less than three days away. I challenged indicating tat they had provided no confirmation or contact after booking so how would I have known we accidentally booked through them until I received by Visa statement, which was also on September 1st. So they have $26.59 booking fee and $1,091.34 room charge for a room that should have been_/- $700 for two nights. Terrible customer service. Avoid reservations.com and Expedia, their parent company whenever you can.

Horrible experience

Went to book a room (2 nights) at the Sheraton hotel in Atlantic City, NJ. Googled it - first hit was a link that looked like the actual hotel website (it was not, turns out it was reservations.com). Booked room - went to pay, confirmation of payment never went through so I redid the reservation and guess what - it booked the reservation twice and charged me twice. I had to dispute the charges with their offshore customer service line and they made me call the hotel to cancel the duplicate reservation and then call them back with the name of the desk clerk and floor manager on duty to verify the cancellation. But wait, it gets better. A week before my stay I called Reservations.com to confirm my original reservation - they confirmed it. I show up at the Sheraton and the desk clerk says BOTH reservations had been cancelled. If it weren't for the fact that Marriott valued me as a gold status member I might have been out on the street. As it was, the rates they gave me onsite were better than the total rate charged me by Reservations.com. DO NOT use this service. Make sure you aren't tricked by their sneaky website. Best to book directly with the hotel - that's my take away lesson from this nightmare (and if you book through another reservation service - Marriott won't give you the points for your stay). Run away from Reservations.com - it's a shell company.

Not so clear fees

Just lost $19.99 for having to cancel a hotel reservation within 24 hours even though it said fully refundable. I should have checked their poor rating before I used their site. Hate falling for a sucker

Just HORRIBLE!

Do not waste your money on this money-sucking website - they charge HUUUGE MARKUPS and dont give you proper payment details before they charge you! They advertise one price and charge you something else and then claim your reservation is non-refundable. Worst customer service EVER!

Reservations.com is the worst company I have ever dealt with in years they scam you online adding fees to your charge without advising you and then you can't cancel. Their phones are answered in the Philippines and they can't do anything to help you because there's no one else to talk to. I would never ever go through them under any I'm going to report that down to the better Business bureau and when I got to the hotel they wanted me to give them a $100 deposit even though the the thieves at reservations.com had already charged me at least$40 more than it showed on their website they give you tons of numbers and no real answer and after about 3 minutes when I tried to cancel after seeing the charge they refused to give me any of the money back when I got to the hotel they told me if I didn't give the $100 deposit they wouldn't they wouldn't give me the room they would just cancel it and I wouldn't get any of my money back so I was stuck in my car with no where to go

What a scam
September 7, 2021

Clearly this site is a scam. I was under the impression that I was booking from a legit site and my reservation was fully refundable. I've just cancelled my reservation, but this "reservation.com" site kept a 'service fee' of $19.99 even though my hotel gives full refund until the check-in date, which is 10days from today. Had I booked directly with the hotel, I'd have gotten full refund. I've just made a note to myself to NEVER USE reservations.com AGAIN!

They don't provide accurate information... with a non-refundable option
We booked a hotel from the airport and they promised that there is a shuttle to pick us up, and when we booked and went outside there was no shuttle, when we called the hotel they said they don't provide shuttles any more... when we returned back to reservation.com they answered that it is the hotel responsibility... we don't recommend this service at all

BEWARE Transaction Fees!
I searched for the hotel using Google. The first item on the list was hotel.reservations.com. I clicked and thought I was on the hotel web site. Nope, just looks that way. I created a reservation and nowhere was alerted to a Service Fee of $19.99 per reservation. When that came in separately from the hotel charge, I cancelled the reservation and asked for a return of the reservation fee. They refused. Visa also declined to reverse the charge because there is a statement (many pages below the first page) that indicates the charge is non-refundable.

BUYER BEWARE. I made reservations for the Wildhorse Casino Hotel. After I confirmed the reservation I got an email telling me the cost, which at that time the $19.99 was just an additional cost that I would have accepted. What I did not know was there was more than one Wildhorse Casino in the United States. I accidently made reservations to the Wildhorse Casino in Chandler AZ. I thought I was making reservations to the one in Pendleton OR. I called the 800 number within 20 minutes of making the reservation. I was on hold for almost 30 minutes. I finally got a guy to whom I explained to what had happened and I needed to cancel. He said he would refund the original amount but would not refund the $19.99 because that was their service fee. I explained to him again that I had just made a mistake and got the wrong Wildhorse Casino in the wrong state and that they haven't done anything for that fee. He said, "No you canceled the reservation, you lose the fee." I asked to speak to manager or a supervisor and the guy yells at me over the phone and says, "you don't need to speak to anyone else, you canceled your reservation and you lose the fee." Then he hung up on me. I called my credit card company and they canceled everything. From this time on, I will be requesting any company using Reservations.com to drop this company for deceptive business practice and really, really, poor customer service.

Do not even consider using these scheming, underhanded thieves. There is no customer service. They add in a whole bunch of fees that are hidden. They'll take you to a hotel you didn't pick. They won't let you change a reservation or cancel, even if you call them 10 minutes after you make it. I can't possibly say enough bad things about them. Do not even consider using them if you have a shred of dignity or decency, because they certainly don't.

Five times called them. Five times disconnected. Will not return money if you cancel. Told me they Had to contact hotel manager at hotel who I was standing next to. Put me on hold as they said they were calling manager. After 20 minute hold no call to hotel or manager. They lie like dogs. Said you have to wait 7 to 10 days to see if your cancelation will be granted. Never seen such scummy actions. Please DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY... YOU WILL REGRET EVER CONTACTING RESERVATIONS. COMM

We booked for 3 nights at a Hotel and got to the hotel only to be disappointed by the property. The info on reservation.com was misleading. So we decided to stay one night and cancel the next two only to be told we couldn't. We called reservation.com several times only to be frustrated and was told our $1,000 would not be refunded. They said it would take a week to confirm with the hotel to see if they could refund our money. I would never suggest to anyone. In fact I will make a point to tell people not to use the site.

First time I have EVER used this corrupt group. Everyone should report them to the attorney general. Need to be put out of business. They give you a quote and mine ended up being 200 hundred dollars more then they said. When you contact them they have these form letters they follow. I will never use them again and will tell everyone I know. Everyone needs to report them for fraud!
