Wtf
April 6, 2019

This is ridiculous! It seems like you're calling the hotel direct and then it's an additional $20. Why is this place in business and how can this be done that they appear to hijack the hotels nunber?

Deceptive and awful
April 6, 2019

Unfortunately, like others I thought I was calling the hotel direct to make a reservations. The man I spoke with told me that if I made a reservation I would have until 24hrs prior to the reservation to cancel with no charges or penalties. He DID not disclose that my card would be immediately charged nor did he advise of the $14.99 cancellation fee. I booked a hotel 20 miles from the original intended one under the assumption that I could confirm with my mom (who the booking is for) and cancel if not needed. Which I might add is how EVERY other reservation I have ever made works. I typically use travelocity, but again I thought I was calling the hotel direct. That evening (same day mind you) after talking to my mom I went into my email to cancel the reservation. Big mistake. The website offered a 10% discount to keep the reservation. I chose the no I don't want this deal option, twice, but the website said I accepted and would receive a 30ish refund. I IMMEDIATELY called to report the issue but have been told I accepted end of story. I also immediately emailed customer service and the hotel about the situation and requesting a refund of what I now realized I have already paid. It is under review currently but 5 people in this company have very rudely advised me several times I chose this and no refund will happen. After the review I am waiting on, if I am still denied the refund I will take my complaint to FL and the BBB. I am livid over this situation, I feel misled and scammed. Oh and out $300..

BEWARE. You will be overcharged and not receive the accommodations you paid for. Call customer service only if you want to confirm you are being screwed. Learned my lesson.

I was on a hotel website trying to book three nights and got hijacked onto reservations.com. I ended up unknowingly booking through them. When I needed to cancel it was a NIGHTMARE. They wanted me to call the hotel to get authorization to cancel, and then tried to charge me a $14.99 cancellation fee for each night. I had three nights booked and they only canceled two. Now I'm trying to get the refund for the third night and am getting the run around because it's after the check-in date. It was their error - or what is an error at all? Did they purposely not cancel the third night in an attempt to keep my money?!

When you book, there is a very small statement about the reservation being non-refundable, right before you submit your payment. It's easy to overlook. And why would a hotel ever be non-refundable? Every hotel in the U.S. lets you cancel up until the day you check in. What a complete racket!

When you call, the reps act as if they can't understand you and just keep repeating information from a script, even if it doesn't relate to what you are asking. You can't get honest information or a straight answer and they won't transfer you to anyone who can help.

Be careful when you book! Check the search bar to make sure it doesn't say "reservations.com" or "hotels.com" before you pay!

I wish there were a way to give zero stars (or negative stars) on this review. One star is far too kind.

I booked a hotel room in Verona NY for a conference at a rate that I was ok with but thought it was high. After I booked it I later found our that I was entitled to a special deeply discounted rate. Within 15 minutes of booking it I tried to cancel the reservation. The reservation was cancelled but. $14.95 charge, for what I don't know, was chaged. When I cancelled the reservation, they told me it was 100% refundable.

I travel for a living and spend 125 night a year in hotels. The charge is BS and was mislead about the credit. I will make a complaint to the resort regarding the actions of one of their business partners.

The cancelation policy is such to trick you! I booked my hotel on Dunday and had to cancel on Tuesday. I read the cancelation policybthat my booking was subject to one night cancelation room charge but after 4/4. I canceled on 4/2 and was still charged the one night room. The customer service lady on the phone agreed with me on how the policy read but still charged me the one night room. This is horrible and I will be escalating this further! They pray on people to get their money! Do not use this company for booking hotel rooms! I am so upset over this!

Company is a complete rip-off made no mention of $14.99 charge for making reservations through this company. Also, said room was 159 and ended up at 203+15 equals $218 for a room that was listed as $138 at the Marriott. DO NOT EVER USE THIS SITE TO BOOK RESERVATIONS- ALWAYS CALL HOTELS DIRECTLY. THIS COMPANY SUCKS!

Total Scam!
April 1, 2019

I thought I was making a reservation with the hotel and then when I got the email confirmation with an extra $14.99 service charge I realized I had been duped! I was naive enough to think that call them immediately would clear up the matter. NO WAY! Apparently I had Ok'd a "no cancellation" policy. I asked to speak to the supervisor who was busy but would call back... IN 3 DAYS! The supervisor was obviously from the same call center way off in another country and he simply reiterated the non cancellation policy. WOW! This company will make all it's money on $14.99 charges on the innocent public. Good luck with that! I am posting this on ALL social media and calling the Florida division that deals with licensing Travel. Please do the same if you had a similar experience. Here is the information with the Reservation.Com's licence below: To file a complaint against a seller of travel, use our online form or call 1-800-HELP-FLA (435-7352).

This website is a joke, I got triple charged and was informed that the reservation did not go though, asked for them to cancel the transactions and after being on the phone for over an hour and transferred from one person to another to just tell me there's nothing they can do, for me to wait until the money goes back into my account. I don't have that kind of money to just wait 1-3 days, if there's no reservation they should be able to cancel the payment right a way. BTW the call center is somewhere overseas and the English is hard to understand.

I drove my mother who is 95 to her older sisters funeral. I am 70 years old and needed a hotel for my mother and me. I paid for a room plus a fee and booked at a Hilton Garden for one night through Reservation.com. Upon arrival I was told there was no reservation in my name. They said Reservation.com booked the room and then withdrew the reservation. However, Reservation.com did not reimburse my bank card. I was forced to pay for the room once again as my mother and I needed a place to stay. I am on a fixed income. I have tried to call reservation.com multiple times and the phone keeps ringing and ringing with no answer. I will be reporting this company to The BBB. No one should be treated like this. This week has been difficult enough with the death of a loved one. You should always be able to have peace of mind once a room is booked and an email confirmation is given. I would highly recommend you stay as far away from this company as possible.

Scam-rip-off
March 30, 2019

I went to book a room with marriott and was misled about the booking site. Unfortunately, I booked through reservations.com thinking it was Marriott. The actual charge to my credit card was ~$150 more than the website booking total. The email receipt is completely worthless with NO indication of the cost and fees. This is a very deceitful company and should be investigated by law enforcement agencies. And, since it involves interstate commerce, I imagine they violate federal law as well!
DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THIS WEBSITE!

Charges an extra 193 dollars in fees on top of advertised rate. No refund and no cancellation is hidden in the fine print in the terms of service. This is dishonest to the point of being a scam. Particularly because their link is what pops up first when you Google the hotel, with the appearance of being the official hotel site. Deceptive and dishonest

Horribly deceptive

Like some others, reservations.com came up when I tried to book a room at a Canadian hotel. On the site to check rates and book, nowhere is it mentioned that rates are in US dollars. It was only AFTER completing the booking is USD mentioned in the fee details. I still have the screen shots to prove it.

Please avoid this site at all cost.

Total SCAM
March 29, 2019

Like many other people, I thought I was making a reservation through the hotel's site, until I noticed the price was quite high. I cancelled the reservation and Reservations.com refused to refund the $14.99 fee they charged even though I cancelled the day after I made the reservation. Even without their fee their prices were considerably higher than the hotel site. CROOKS!

100% SCAM - STAY AWAY
March 28, 2019

My daughter booked a room through this scam outfit thinking it was the Holiday Inn website, and at the end of the call she was told the room was non-refundable. She then said she didn't want it if was non-refundable, but was told "too late, I already booked it." We then found out the hotel required her to be 21 to check in, which she is not, and they never told her that. They also never told her about the $30 fee they charge. Try asking for a manager and they have a nice little script they read. The managers are all busy helping other guests, but we'll have the next available one call you. I waited 2 weeks and called back, and got the same little speech. They tell me its was her responsibility to ask about the age. So now she has a room that she can't use and she can't get a refund. This is clearly a company simply looking to cheat people out of their money and have no interest in taking care of the customers. Do you really want to use them?
