This company disguised themselves as the hotel I was booking at so that I didn't know it was a 3rd party. Then when I had to cancel with in the 24 hour window due to a death in the family they would not do it without consent from the hotel. When I called the hotel directly to get consent they gave it. However, Reservations.com cancelled with the hotel and kept my money still. They are scam artists. Never ever book through reservations.com.
These guys suck with a capital S
Firs they disguise themselves as the hotel i was staying then hit with no changes and no refunds. Its not like offered any discount on rates. All i needed was to change the trip by a day and they tell me i am out my money. What a POS company
We booked 9 rooms using this website and were provided with confirmation numbers. When we arrived at the hotel, they had nothing in their system and no reservations for our party at all. They were also completely full. I spent an hour on hold and on the phone with their customer service agents. They took so long that we had made alternate arrangements on our own long before they actually picked up the phone. The agent apologized and said they would process a refund AND give us our booking fee back... like they were doing us a favour. I just checked our refund now to find that they have shorted us $132.81. Please do yourself a favour and save yourself the time because if anything goes sideways with these people they have shown they do not care to provide support of any kind. This business is a total scam.
Right now I'm still steaming and I probably will for a long time to come! I spoke to an agent and she acted so concerned and pleasant to talk too. But she's a snake. She asked me what was the special Occasion and I told her it was my Granddaughter's Graduation coming up. Then she stated that they only had one room available so I was just on time. She lied to get me to pay for that room now. They took it off my card still when I asked her how much was the Suite. For two dollars more I changed to take the Suite. When I checked m y bank statement she never canceled the first one. I'm glad She gave me their direct number and I reported her to them but I had to call the 800 number to cancel. Reservation agents did not show any concerns what happened to me. So I told them to refund my money and the did immediately. Please, these people are A SCAM COMPANY FROM OVERSEAS!
On 2/1/2019 I booked 9 rooms and was given 2 confirmation numbers and only 2 names assigned to the booking. I called back and questioned that no other names are listed, I was told the hotel would assign the rooms and send confirmations. I had to call the Hotel and request the confirmations. I had 3 staff that had to cancel and found out I would have to cancel ALL 4 reservations under one of the confirmation numbers. I asked why I was not told this when I booked, I would have booked each one individually. OF COURSE THEY HAD NO RESPONSE BECAUSE THIS IS HOW THEY GET YOU.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. And by they way they had me on hold for over an hour to make a name change and then they didn't do it. And said they CAN'T.
Hotel was not able to accommodate our stay and promised us no charges. Reservations.com charged us for the room and has not refunded our money. I have repeatedly tried to contact the call center, waiting on hold for hours, with the same "wait 7-10 business days" response. This has been 3 weeks.
I called the hotel to check pricing and got it confirmed (159.80). Had to drop it and come back to the reservation. Went to company website to book it and clicked on what I thought was the hotel website reservations link. Instead it was reservations.com. Booked it and it gave me the prepay cost of $159.80. When I received the email confirmation it was $196. They added almost $40 in fees with no disclosures available unless I took the time to read all the fine print. When I asked to cancel they said I could cancel but would get no refund whatsoever.
I went online to make a reservation for Super8 in Abbotsford, BC.
Started with a Google search for this hotel. The first return was Super 8 - reservation.com.
Looks like Super8, does it not? Went on and made a reservation, when i received the email notification I see all charges are in USDINCLUDING THE $14.99 service fee. Well i am a Canadian, making a reservation for a Canadian Hotel why on gods green earth would I want to pay a 35% premium by using USD? For the $250.00 Usd that I paid I could have stayed at the Ritz.
Called reservation.com to cancel. Sorry we can cancel the reservation but there is no refund.
This outfit is the worst company that I have ever come across- DO NOT USE " RESERVATION.COM
After seeing that my $47 room was going to end up costing closer to $80 with taxes and a $14.99 "service fee" I cancelled, because the site promised "Free cancellations". I booked through Expedia, then got my VISA bill with a non-refundable $14.99 fee from reservations.com, Don't use!
I thought I was calling the hotel directly. I was reassured three times that I was calling the hotel directly. After I finished booking I looked at the email they sent and was charged $50 more than what he said. When I try to call to dispute this, I was put on hold forever, and when I reached someone they refuse to let me speak to a supervisor. They told me they would review the tapes, and if in fact I was lied to, "it would be okay". When asked what that means they would not tell me. Does it mean I will get a refund? I complained about not being made where of hidden fees and the fact The agent lied about being the hotel directly. When I told them I would complain to the better business bureau they laughed. I will just dispute it with my credit card company. Please do not make the same mistake I did. If they don't speak English hang up.
DO NOT USE Reservations.com. Reservations.com should be prosecuted for consumer fraud. Reservations.com deceptively hijacked a reservation I was making on the Marriott corporate site by using a pop-up site designed to look like the Marriott site and populated with Marriott traveler database information, including name, address, phone number, credit card number, etc. Reservations.com then sells a room at a grossly inflated rate and loads the reservation with unreasonable booking and cancellation fees, making it costly to pursue remedy for their trickery. Here are the differences between booking directly with Marriott versus using Reservations.com: 1) charged $150/night more than the advertised room rate available on marriott.com; 2) charged service fee ($15) for the booking that is not charged by Marriott for direct bookings and that is not disclosed by Reservations.com before booking; 3) saddled with a retro-dated reservation cancellation policy, meaning any changes to the reservation were automatically "within the penalty window" and subject to a one-night room and tax penalty on top of the non-refundable reservation fee. When I contacted Reservations.com customer service, I was unable to get the company to release the reservation or to provide even the slightest remediation for their fraud. Even worse, all of these extra charges DID NOT even result in a valid room reservation. Seeing all the suspicious charges and unable to work with Reservations.com, I contacted Marriott directly by phone. Marriott was unable to find a Marriott reservation number attached to the Reservations.com "itinerary" number. Then, once a Marriott reservation was found at Marriott corporate, no reservation could be found at the hotel using the same Marriott reservation number, which Marriott said was irregular. In my case, the reservations.com reservation was cancelled, and yet the FULL bevy of fraudulent charges were charged to the credit card. We currently are pursuing a remedy through our credit card company. In short, Reservations.com is not to be trusted and should be avoided at all costs. Further, Marriott in the interest of preserving its reputation should prevent Reservations.com from defrauding its customers through the use of Marriott's likeness and image online. I will be extremely hesitant to book rooms online after my experience with Reservations.com. BUYER BEWARE.
Booked a hotel room thru Reserations.com - $15 service fee was NOT disclosed until after I had paid for the room. Was also not given the advertised room rate. Called customer service; was told (politely) to f*ck off. Immediately contacted my credit card provider to file a fraudulent charge complaint & block payment.
Called the hotel directly & booked the room at the advertised rate, no fees, no surcharges.
Horrible customer service, I cried on the phone with them. They're awful - policies are horrific. I will NEVER use this site again and will stop anyone I know from ever booking through you again. You should feel ashamed.
There are other booking companies in the world. Do not use this one. They have a reservation fee that is not refundable if you cancel your reservation. Bad Customer Service
I have contacted the Better business bureau They scammed me saying there were the reservation center for Hyatt Place. I called the hotel and told them I had to go to a funeral for my aunt they were very nice saying they had not problems but RESERVATION.com will not after many many phone calls, put on hold 30 or more minutes at a time, will never let you have a supervisor. I will follow this to the end. FRAUD and SCAM
Will not make any changes to existing reservation, non refundable policy things happen that are not in your control. Misleading the consumer, menu has opinions to cancel reservations, make new reservations, changes to your existing reservation, yet they don't do any of these things and will stress there nonrefundable policy and no changes false advertising, misleading consumers, aren't there laws about this
I strongly urge everyone who is having these awful issues to report to the Better Business bureau. Not only are they practicing deceptively, they have no decency either. They called my home at 3 am! What business does that! They clearly do not operate on US hours and I still do not have the refund I was promised. Looks like I'll have to dispute this through my credit card company. Thank god I have an email and voice mail stating that they will refund me as proof! Everyone needs to file reports to have them investigated.
COMPLETE scam! Add hidden fees, almost $200 in fees that they won't explain. "we don't itemize the fees". Stay away! They also trick you into thinking you are booking at an official website of the hotel but its [hotel name]. guestreservations.com. I travel up to 100+ times a year. I'll share to EVERYONE I know to constantly watch out for such a website scam and to absolutely avoid anything with guest reservations!
Very bad customer service ask for Statesville NC booking the booked my room in Fayetteville NC and will not refund my money the agents are all outsourced to another country and bearly speed fluent English
Booked a room for one night. Charged me fee of 14.99. Never told me about fee. Called my ccd company told them fraud charge. So I needed to change date of reservation and they stated I would lose my money. I said I am only changing the date and hotel did not charge a fee. Boy was I upset, I think the reps Ward's are still burning, I WAS MAD AS HELL! TOLDBI WILL NEVER EVER MAKE A RESERVATION THROUGH THEM AGAIN. THEY REPRESENTED THEMSELVES ASCTHE HOTEL BOOKING CENTER! GOING TO CONTACT BBB. I SUGGEST EVERYONE WHO HAS HAD THE SAME TX CALL AND POST ON FACEBOOK!
