We just use this app to get a rental from the airport, hertz couldn't find our rental and the money was already taken from our account. When we called Carla, the lady told me no refunds. How is it no refunds when we didn't even get a car? This place is a scam and need to get shut down by the government. I believe this company is based out of another country because the company is not following the rules and regulations that America goes by when being a business owner. This company takes people money for no reason and refuse to return it. Scammers! I have no hope that the company will refund me, but I am filing a dispute with my bank, this is considered fraud and my bank will take care of it.
AVOID CARLA AT ALL COST. It's a scam company. I paid for a 7 seater but was offered a 5 seater car at the counter. I refused delivery, now carla is not refunding me any amount saying its in the contract. If your refuse a bad product / service they will charge you 100%. Total scam stay away
Could someone please start a class action lawsuit on this company because they are scamming people out their money they scam me for $480 and I didn't get a car and they won't refund my cash back
My wife Only made a reservation and cancelled. She canceled with U Save Car rental without any problem. But when I cancel with you in less than 12 hours, they tell me that they cancel but they do not return 100% of my money. That's a scam. Since I didn't return my money, it was canceled with the company that was going to be used. You are just intermediaries. That's unfair. I take it as theft of my money. I need full refund. More for the 'hard time' they have given me. I'm not rich to give away my money. Thank you.
Absolutely worst customer service I ever experienced in my entire life, kept talking over me as I spoke and then when I addressed it and told her I need for you to listen so you can understand why I'm calling…( SHE WENT OFF) screaming, yelling voice on MAXIMUM.I never felt so disrespected EVER I been waiting on my refund since early June over $340 THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED…
SCAM SCAM SCAM Carla is a scam company. The price advertised is not what you pay at the car hire location. Free cancellation is a lie, they refuse to take responsibility for returning refunded money. DO NOT USE AT ANY COST
J'ai réservé une voiture en mai 2024 pour Sept. 2024. 900$ de dépôt. Lors de mon arriver à destination il on canceller ma réservation car supposément j'était en $#*!. Mon vol est arriver a 12h30 et je me suis présentée a 15hr. Il n'avait aucune voiture de disponible. Je suis retournée le lendemain toujours pas de voiture. Il ne veulent pas me rembourser. Il me demande d'écrire au courriel ou j'ai fait la réservation. 2 discours différent.
Aucun service il n'on pas respecter le contrat de location.
Tenez vous loins de cette compagnie. Une arnaque pur et simple.

Do not book with these people they will take your money and you will get nothing back total fraud, do not use them for anything
Terrible Customer Service: From start to finish, the customer service was exceptionally poor. Despite multiple attempts to reach out with concerns, responses were either delayed or non-existent. The lack of support was incredibly disappointing.
Fraudulent Oversell of Insurance: I was charged for insurance coverage even though I already had insurance from a third party. This seemed like a blatant attempt to upsell unnecessary coverage. I felt pressured into paying for something I didn't need, which felt downright fraudulent.
Misleading Vehicle Assignment: Although my car agreement clearly specified a Toyota Corolla or a similar model, the sales agent provided me with a Kia Soul. To add insult to injury, a Toyota Corolla was available, but I was still given a different vehicle. This lack of adherence to the agreement was unacceptable.
Failure to Address Complaints: After expressing my dissatisfaction and raising concerns about the insurance oversell, I never received a follow-up call or resolution. The disregard for addressing these issues only compounded my frustration.
Given these problems, I am requesting a refund for the insurance charges, which I believe were applied fraudulently. I would not recommend this company based on my experience, and I hope they will take steps to address these significant issues.
Absolute SCAM of a company.
This booking company took my deposit and never returned for a booking canceled by the Car Rent supplier. Even though the supplier said there will no cancellation charges, they stole my deposit and keep it for themself. NEVER USING THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Absolute scam
Tried to rent through this site. Kept saying transaction denied so we went elsewhere. THEN charges appeared on my card and they refused to refund even though we never got a confirmation or a car!
I tried to rent a car through them. I showed up at the rental company at the airport They refused my voucher. I then had to figure out a way to get my daughter and I to my mom's house. She was in hospice care. Because I didn't honor my first voucher I was supposed to pick up a second rental in 3 days. I decided to cancel it Well beyond the 48 hour notice needed. They refuse to refund my money. Since they used Affirm,
They had already been paid so they had no incentive to satisfy this customer. I never received a rental from them and I am still being chased by collection agency for $800. I tried to appeal through their non-existent customer service multiple times They kept closing my case because they said it had been a month since it had been opened and it had done nothing. I reopened diligently for almost a year. I escalated. No response.
Je suis extrêmement indigné par la situation. Carla m'a fourni des informations erronées concernant les tarifs de réservation. J'ai payé 50€, mais lorsque je suis arrivé chez l'agence partenaire de Carla, Goldcar, on m'a exigé un montant trois fois supérieur à celui convenu dans le contrat initial. Je n'ai pas pu annuler la réservation ni récupérer les 50€ versés. Leur méthode consiste à afficher des prix attractifs qui n'ont absolument aucun lien avec la réalité une fois la location réglée. Cette pratique est inacceptable et trompeuse.
Bead company guys no trust this company because no confirmation number I rented a car from them and then they canceled for me at the end and everything Was payed
Carla is a scam, they do not disclose all fees until you get to the counter and then they charge you extra. Even though it's a third-party reservation it makes more sense to reserve directly with the company even if it's extra. Got charged an extra 70$ that wasn't disclosed on the Carla website, Alamo couldn't help and neither could Carla. Horrible customer service. They also charge you 30$ that goes straight to Carla to make the reservation not even to the car rental place.
There is no customer service phone number or a method to discuss a serious problem. They are a third party rental company (make reservations on behalf of others). When I showed up to pick up my car at GVA from Europcar, I was informed that the reservation was already cancelled by Europcar (they didn't have the car type requested). But Carla had never communication that to me. I had to start a new reservation afresh with 300% of what originally posted.
I have been exchanging emails with some reps who keep saying they can't refund the fees they placed on my CC only because it doesn't match their policy. This company is not real, nor it should exist. They need to be held accountable for all the charges they are placing without offering *any* services.

Scammers! I will try to report this scam company as widely as possible because what they are doing is illegal and I don't want others to suffer like me. I found a lot of negative information about them just after I booked the car, and I wish I had done it sooner, because I was simply tempted by the better price. I rented a car for 880; when I arrived at Thrifty to pick up the car, I had to pay another 600. They don't answer emails, they don't take calls; the line is either not working, or they don't take calls because it's too busy. Then, the only phone number that could be reached was disconnected. I called them every day for 10 days—no answer! Scammers!
I booked a car that needed to be dropped off at a different location than pick up. I was very careful about putting the details in because of this. After booking the car on my confirmation email it had switched the drop off location to the same as pickup. I called and emailed and did all I could to contact them and ask them to change it back. It is impossible to contact anyone. I even went through the process of setting up a new booking to make sure I did it correctly and each time Carla changed my drop off location (I included photos of it changing) Both locations were airports and viable locations. In the end I had to cancel my reservation and lose my money. They are fraudulent beware.
Answer: Total scam. I've reported them to the BBB, The Federal Trade Commision and The Attorney Generals Office in the state their located in, in an attempt to get my money back.Good luck. Run the other way while you can.
Answer: Never use these people, carla.com. If you gave then the reservation fee I hope you can get it back. They took my money and never sent the reservation. File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commision, and The Attorney Generals Office.
