I always used Realtor.com when looking for real estate listings no matter what area of the country. Now, the website is so horrible and NOT user-friendly in any way whatsoever, that it has become nothing but a frustration. If I try to look in another area than where I originally began my search, I can't seem to get it to change the location and I get a message stating no results could be returned. Therefore, I will not use it anymore. I suggest they return back to the more user-friendly website they previously had before they start losing everyone.
Recent changes to Realtor.com are horrendous and not at all user friendly. Please return to original state.
Please note that I was required to give an overall rating... the new upgrades are not even worthy of one star, IMO and I have been a user of Realtor for more than 15 years.
I used to love realtor.com but they had to go and change it. I now hate it! Very hard to use, less options, slower. Wish they would put it back the way it was.
This by far has to be one of the worth website changes I've seen. Realtor.com used to be very user friendly. Now it is a struggle to use and aggravation. SarasotaOne website is better. First horrible change they made to their sit is you used to be able to roll over the house listings on the right side of the screen and it would make the price icon expand on the map so you know where the property was located. This no longer works. The second thing they changed is they no longer show houses as Active with Contract. It's either active or it's pending. Don't waste my time showing me an Active with Contract house. I realize you're desperate to drum up business for your Realtors but give the consumers a break as well. Another change you made is you could add features that you are looking for like a pool or 2 story. You took that away as well. It's as if you're trying to force feed every house possibility down our throats. Give people the benefit of a doubt that they have a brain and can decide for themselves what they want to buy. Don't use this site unless they change it back to the way it was.
I used to love the utility and features of realtor.com and sung its praises to my peers. The new implementation is absolutely horrible? Whoever signed off on this abomination needs to become unemployed immediately. How can someone take something that was so good and screw it up so badly? It boggles the mind. My advice to realtor.com, "Fix it quick or become irrelevant". I'm sure a competitor will put something together that incorporates the features you abandoned and garner the market share you once enjoyed.
I've been using Realtor.com for several months looking for a house for my daughter. It used to remember the filters I selected. Now I have to input new filters each time I go to the site. If that isn't annoying enough, there is this idiotic ad that popups before every listing. How many times do I have to click on the ad to kill it? It's been at least several hundred since they changed the format. I'm done.
You paid someone for this update? Realtor.com used to be the best site for home searches. A buyer could tailor the search in multiple ways to avoid wasting time. Now it's a mess! Instead of attracting potential buyers, you're turning them off.
After listening to multiple sales pitches from Realtor.com I decided to sign up for their lead program. For my investment the promise was an average of (4) leads per/week. It never happened. I have had an ongoing discussion with John Montaque Region Sales manager for months only to be dragged along with promises not delivered on. Realtor.com has gotten one thing correct. They have not missed for one minute taking the monthly payment I agreed to. What they have missed is delivering ongoing quality leads. When asked where the leads are they tell you they can't control when people go to their site. They seem to have enough data for sales to guarantee an average of 4 leads per/week. They even continue to sell additional leads in the same Zip code when only delivering about 30% of my contract. REALTORS BEWARE. THE LEADS MIGHT BE GOOD WHEN YOU GET THEM BIT YOU WON'T GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR. Realtor.com works like a medical plan. They hope you will die before you can collect.
How could you have such a great website then turn it into junk. What the hell is the front office doing, smoking crack? You need to go back to the old format. It was awsom. This one is pathetic!
Have used Zillow for years and have recently tried giving other sites a chance... No other site comes close to Zillow. Easy of use, entire information content in one page, no searching and guessing what symbols mean, and what I deem to be most important... Lot boundary lines! It determines 95% of my decision to even consider a property. I can't use realtor.com for anything other than to check if by chance a property is not on Zillow. Instead of trying to "reinvent the wheel", just give us your version of "the wheel". Did the "powers that be" sit in a meeting and come up with all the ways to have a site that is NOT helpful and is a hassle to navigate? Try this... Simple! Looking for houses is second to used cars... And we know the rep used car salespeople have! Up your game please... Listen to complaints... Don't try to outthink and over complicate! My vent is complete...
What happened here? They took a very good, user friendly site and broke it. Their marketing folks need to kill this update. Bring the old realtor.com back!
The new changes to Realtor.com are absolutely HORRIBLE! Please FIRE the person responsible for this upgrade/ implementation. I have never personally- as a consumer -experienced a worse "upgrade" EVER in 35 years in the business.
COMPLAINTS;
THE NEW SITE DOES NOT WORK & STILL AFTER A FULL WEEK STILL NONE OF THE BUGS HAVE BEEN FIXED.
THE MAP FUNCTION IS BROKEN AND DOES NOT TOGGLE BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN PROPERTIES AND THE LISTING.
WHEN YOU TOGGLE BACK AND FORTH YOU LOSE YOUR ORIGINAL SEARCH AND CANNOT EVER GET BACK TO THE FULL LIST OF PROPERTIES WITHOUT LOGGING OUT AND STARTING COMPLETELY OVER.
YOU REMOVED ALL THE FILTERS THAT MADE YOUR SITE ACTUALLY USEFUL.
EXAMPLE: CUSTOMERS CAN NO LONGER CAN FILTER ON 1 STORY OR 2 STORY- THIS IS IMPERATIVE FOR HANDICAPPED /AGING CUSTOMERS.
CUSTOMERS CAN NO LONGER EVEN FIND IF OUT IF A PROPERTY IS 1 OR 2 STORY WITHOUT DIGGING DEEP INTO THE LISTING.
CUSTOMERS CAN NO LONGER SEARCH ON ONLY ACTIVE LISTINGS!
CUSTOMERS HAVE TO LOOK THROUGH EVERY LISTING THAT IS PENDING NOW!
AND WHY DO THIS WITH NO EXPLANATION OR ANNOUNCEMENT BANNER ON YOUR WEBSITE?
YOU COULD AT LEAST LET CUSTOMERS KNOW YOU ARE UPGRADING YOUR SITE AND THAT YOU ARE WORKING TO FIX THE CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL ISSUES.
I HAVE CALLED 3 X'S INTO YOUR CALL CENTER
I HAVE SENT SCREEN SHOTS EXPLAINING THE PROBLEMS IN DEPTH TO YOUR CALL CENTER. STILL THE SAME PROBLEMS A WEEK LATER.
VERY IRRESPONSIBLE TO MAKE THIS KIND OF JUDGMENT ERROR WHEN THIS IS SUCH A CRITICAL TOOL THAT MILLIONS RELY ON. SHAME ON REALTOR.COM. SOMEONE IS ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL.
The website is horrid horrid. Has no listingstatus close to other homes viewed. Just absolutely horrible. Will go to other websites. Horrid horrid more than hoorid. Will they care no.
This was, up until now, the best site to do research. I despise the new format, but obviously, it is catering to realtors and NOT the general public. Therefore, I will quit using this website for research. I guess this is the general consensus among the general population!
So many key features were removed with the site rewrite. Only basic filters for price, # of beds/baths and size. The status indication was removed. Show on map now gone which makes the list on the side useless. The ability to select specific sets of towns now gone only a diameter is left.
How in the world was such a poor redo released to the public? Shows total lack of understanding of the customer. Now hands down the worst home sale site.
Who in the world thought it would a good idea to remove most of the filters. I won't be using it anymore.
Realtor.com was an incredible tool for searching for property. Anyone could use this site with great results, now this site is the worst! It makes goes to the realtors website, and battle that nonsense. Did someone's mentally handycapped child write this? Thanks for destroying a great site, if it this had a zero star ratting it would be more appropriate!
I now have to go to the listing agent's website to see if the listing is active, The filters are now useless. Please go back to the old format. Much user friendly and not a waste of time.
The new format is HORRIBLE! No longer shows if properties are Active or Contingent, which is a very important piece of information when doing a search. Also, no longer shows acreage size in results when in a list. Have to open each listing to see the size of property. Please change everything back!
After constantly pestering users for months in trying the new site, now you are automatically redirected to it. Instead of the concise, efficient search options, you're now stuck with a glossy but horrible set up. Instead of being #1 they're no better than the competitors. Nice job, knuckleheads.
Answer: Don't do it! Total scam. They don't allow you to cancel, and don't deliver what they promise. I've wasted $1500 and they want to stick me for another $4500! I signed up for an area with $800k average, but ALL of the leads are for $50 mobile homes. COMPLETE SCAM!
Answer: You can file a claim with the BBB. I am in the process of looking for an attorney. Small claims court is always an option.
Answer: Just be sure you are dealing with a realtor. Do not send any money to anybody at a moneygram account. Just make sure it is a realtor you are working with. Because there are scams out there that ask you to send money pretend to be owner etc. you can always ask for license number and go to trec website and check to see if number is real. Hope that helps.
Answer: I hope that if enough of us post about Realtor.com scamming, defrauding our industry we can stop them, scammed myself, never again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.
