Realtor.com has so many ads running that it is near impossible to spend more than 10 minutes on their site without it crashing. I'm going to have to look elsewhere...
Realtor.com used to be the site I used to search for houses within certain parameters. Then they overhauled their website and took away all the filters with the note saying the filters are "coming soon." It's been months and months and still no filters. This site is now horrible. Note to management: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. If you wanted to "renovate" your website, you should have made sure the filters still worked. You should have kept the old website running until the new one was just as good if not better. This website is almost useless now. I've written the customer service asking when the filters will be running again and not gotten an answer.
I found Realtor.com an easy site to use, save searches and homes of interest. In reality, this site found the home we bought as it was sent in an e-mail. We contacted our Realtor who met us at the home that evening. There were three bids submitted that night and we won the bid. This home is our perfect dream home. Without the e-mail from Realtor.com we would not have found this house quickly enough to bid on and purchase.
If they didn't need your money so bad, and if they were such a good company, they wouldn't have to tell you lies to suck you in to their evil scheme. I told them specific zip codes I wanted, and specific ones I did not want. I did this thorough email so it could be tracked. The sales rep told me to call him immediately, that they just added more openings for the area I wanted, so I called him, and I signed up, because the zip codes I asked for are in high demand. I told him I did not want to sign up immediately because I was going out of the country on vacation for a week, so he told me he would set me up and get all my info, but wouldn't start it or charge it until I got back, so just to hold the zip code spot so to speak. When I got back I signed up on my portal, and found out that the zip codes I specifically requested not to get were the only ones I got. I was livid so I called customer service, which they told me I only had 3 days to cancel and since it was past 3 days I had to wait a year. I proceeded to tell him my story of what happened and that this was the day after I got back so technically still in the 3 day period. He basically told me that I was lying to him and told me that I was screwed. I told him I had emails to prove everything and he made this bull$#*! story saying that he would have to read them, but he still couldn't do anything. Don't waste your time. I am now out $500 a month with my only inquiries of fake leads that lead to nothing and people inquiring about mobile homes.
I have used Realtor.com Leads referral service for 1 year. More than 20% of the " leads " would not respond after asking for information. Realtor.com says that is normal. These "leads" are still charged against total contract. Out of more than 70 "leads" I got ZERO ROI. My last 6 of 10 did not respond after requesting information.
I asked to speak with a supervisor after discussing my poor lead results with customer service. He was beyond rude. I have never given any business a bad review, but, this is not the way for Realtors to get business.
Started speaking with them on 2/11/16. After 5 calls I got to speak with "JOE" on 2/26/16 who informed me he was the top of the food chain. He also told me they cannot be responsible for the quality of the leads and he would not end my program at the 6 month term even though CS said they could! I was told I had to keep on paying until the 12 months were up. He also shared his company was too big to let people out of contracts early. Funny Zillow didn't have a problem but he didn't care about that. A pencil pusher with an attitude! Learned a BIG LESSON, NEVER USE REALTOR>COM again! If they don't care about the RE agents that support there company, then why should we support them
I figured to try this as I'm open minded to how to gain new leads. What I ended up with were leads that were looking all over the country based on their search patterns. In just about 9 months and six thousand dollars later no leads ever resulted in a meeting. The email addresses were changed, and in some cases calls were only answered by a voice mail. I attempted to cancel the service, and the company said I had a year contract. However, if a company does not deliver on what they have a agreed this is a breach. I terminated one of my debit cards which was charged, and tow months later they began to bill another debit card which I used for a smaller portion without any authorization. Realtors beware of this lead providing service.
I hired this woman to sell my home, she was awful. She promised me she would get me top dollar for my house but instead she hooked me in for a 6 month listing and wanted me to keep dropping the price. In the end I finally got rid of her, I would never recommend her
Signing up for a leadprogram is easy, ending/cancelling your contract is a WHOLE different story. You will not get the number and quality of leads that you might expect. Feels like a scam. You are warned!
Website does not give accurate information. I did research on some properties I was searching for, this Website ignores facts. They should take a little more time and or do their homework and check Sq. Ft. Of homes they post so people can get real idea. Waste of time.
They told me you get many leads per month and they send the contact after they charge you car. In the contract is say over the course of the year. The guy said if you are not happy with the leads you can cancel anytime. Lies again, they don't let you cancel. So I will call the FTC and the district attorney tomorrow to file a formal fraud complaint.
They fail to explain, there services. They are the worst company that I've dealt with so far regarding leads. They promise that you can cancel within the first three days, but htey don't cancel your subscription---Beware
I was told when I signed up that if I was not satisfied with the service that I can cancel at any time. NOT TRUE! The sales rep will tell you that, and never answer your calls. Then when I called customer care to cancel they said that I was in a one year contract and that I could not cancel it. Well, now I am stuck with leads that go all over the place to multiple people when I requested exclusive leads and am paying for exclusive leads.
I honestly, truly hope that Realtor.com did not pay for the most recent 'upgrade'. The IT professionals that implemented and approved the rollout should be demoted. Honestly, it's one of the most useless sites for real estate information I've ever seen. The site hangs constantly because it's so ad and cookie heavy and it's become more trouble than it's worth. You have to input the same search parameters over and over again with each search. Unless the Realtor chooses to include it in the description, there is no way to determine if a property allows horses or not. You'd be better off painstakingly searching through the 25 pound MLS books of thirty-five years ago! What an absolutely useless site Realtor.com has become!
Got a call from salesman who promised me 3-4 qualified leads per month for $60 per month. In three months... Have one good lead and two stinkers. Tried to get them to terminate but refused. Once they have your credit card they d9n't let go..
The utility of Realtor.com as an effective tool for any real estate professional has taken a nosedive. It is actually painful to look at now and just terrible to utilize. They have regulated themselves back to amateur status and I will look elsewhere for basic listings. This is quite possibly the worst IT upgrade I've ever witnessed.
People absolutely hate the web site after the update. Why aren't you doing anything? Having been in software for 40 years I think this might be one of the worst updates I have ever seen.
THIS SITE WAS WORKING GREAT UNTIL THE LAST BATCH OF CHANGES WHICH ESSENTIALLY REMOVES THE SEARCH FILTERS. NOW ITS FRUSTRATING AND CONSUMES WAY MORE TIME THAN BEFORE THE CHANGES. I FIND I AM HAVING TO SEARCH MULTIPLE SITES TO FIND WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR... IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT IT IS BENEFICIAL TO KEEP UP WITH TECHNOLOGY BUT THIS LAST TRANSITION KIND OF LIKE GOING FROM A MERCEDES TO AN ANTIQUE VW BUG. ITS WAY MORE TROUBLE THAN ITS WORTH. HOPEFULLY ANOTHER SOURCE WILL MAKE ITSELF AVAILABLE.
Realtor.com was once the go to site to look for a home! But they have changed their site and it doesn't work at all! I think it is going to fail if they don't correct all of the errors! For instance you can no longer pick what you want, fireplace, waterfront, etc... And when you look at a listing it bounces you back to the top instead of taking you where you left off! I have been a loyal customer for decades. I am sad I will have to find a new site to look for homes!
Answer: Don't do it! Total scam. They don't allow you to cancel, and don't deliver what they promise. I've wasted $1500 and they want to stick me for another $4500! I signed up for an area with $800k average, but ALL of the leads are for $50 mobile homes. COMPLETE SCAM!
Answer: You can file a claim with the BBB. I am in the process of looking for an attorney. Small claims court is always an option.
Answer: Just be sure you are dealing with a realtor. Do not send any money to anybody at a moneygram account. Just make sure it is a realtor you are working with. Because there are scams out there that ask you to send money pretend to be owner etc. you can always ask for license number and go to trec website and check to see if number is real. Hope that helps.
Answer: I hope that if enough of us post about Realtor.com scamming, defrauding our industry we can stop them, scammed myself, never again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.
