Realtor.com is not owned by Realtors. It uses Realtors. They send you automated notices raising your fees - they don't tell you you have to pay a monthly fee for a year and then they charge you monthly and will not cancel the products - products that do not work to begin with. They do not have good leads for Realtors.
Paul clarke lied to us! Ive sold many homes and he was by far the worse! He said he had a buyer so we signed up with him and he didnt! He said he had a professional photographer and he was the one whom took pics of our house, really bad pics by the way. We had the house for four months listed and only five showings, he told us how much we could sell our house for and we trusted him after all we sold the house months later without an agent.
I saw the commercial on TV where Realtor.com presented as the most accurate website about real estate. I went there to see info about my own house and found that Realtor.com shows wrong basic data: 2 bedrooms instead of 3,0 bathrooms instead of 2 and many other features are missing. I sent them couple emails asking to correct the data to match my county public records but after a months of waiting the issue is still there. The only site that shows everything correctly is Z...
I would not recommend Realtor.com for your real estate research as they do poor job to improve data accuracy.
The site is a great source for those who want to find new homes to rent or own. They have wide range of real estate properties especially in Los Angeles. My friend asked me to help her find a new home in Los Angeles, we both searched at realtor.com. We ended up confused since there are a lot of lovely homes listed on your site. The site is absolutely reliable and user-friendly.
I am a realtor, so I am a little biased for the site. The primary reason why I support it is because it is directly tied into the MLS. Unlike other websites that don't synch and update properly, the inventory status of properties on realtor.com should be accurate more than any other real estate web site.
Many old listings stay for long. Estimated value is not even close to real market values. Don't bother using it.
Not user friendly - I know there are homes out there that match my criteria but this website doesn't show any of them. Why bother having the possibility to input criteria if you're not going to actually link that to any of the houses on your website. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because I found my realtor through this site and he's amazing.
Helpful, informative. Slow load, but everything else is ok. I do use it in conjunction w/a couple other sites for more complete info.
Realtor.com is a great site for anyone looking to purchase or rent a house anywhere in the U.S. The only reason I did not give 4 stars is because the pages are verrry sllooooow in loading. If they can fix the speed issue, it will be a homerun. You can enter a number of search parameters to personalize your search and see only exactly the type of home that you are interested in. You can save searches too. It is like having access to the MLS service without being a realtor. It is also a good way to check up on your realtor if you are working with one.
Very slow results, cluttered pages, lousy pictures, map search is almost impossible to locate... the site is no longer user friendly
Answer: Don't do it! Total scam. They don't allow you to cancel, and don't deliver what they promise. I've wasted $1500 and they want to stick me for another $4500! I signed up for an area with $800k average, but ALL of the leads are for $50 mobile homes. COMPLETE SCAM!
Answer: You can file a claim with the BBB. I am in the process of looking for an attorney. Small claims court is always an option.
Answer: Just be sure you are dealing with a realtor. Do not send any money to anybody at a moneygram account. Just make sure it is a realtor you are working with. Because there are scams out there that ask you to send money pretend to be owner etc. you can always ask for license number and go to trec website and check to see if number is real. Hope that helps.
Answer: I hope that if enough of us post about Realtor.com scamming, defrauding our industry we can stop them, scammed myself, never again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.
