The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, primarily due to significant issues with order accuracy and return processes. Many reviews highlight frustrations over receiving incorrect parts and the subsequent difficulty in obtaining refunds, with customers often bearing return shipping costs for errors not of their making. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently described as inadequate, characterized by long wait times and unhelpful responses. While some customers noted prompt delivery of the correct items, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of reliability and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternative suppliers.

This was my first time ordering from Partsgeek.com. I ordered a Denso radiator and Denso condenser for my Acura.
Partsgeek.com had excellent prices, seemles ordering process and quick delivery time.
All in all I would definitely order from this site again
Please be aware of Parts Geek return policy. They sold a part that was supposed to fit a 2013 Chevy Avalanche. When I received the item, the box clearly states it is not for that year model. Looked it over and sure enough it will not work on this vehicle. Tried to return the item and it would cost at least $55.00 for postage. I have emailed Parts Geek asking them to pay return shipping cost. This is the statement I received from them" We regret to inform you return shipment is prepaid by the customer regardless of the party at fault." So I have to pay $55 to return a $149 part that they misrepresented. Doesn't seem like a good way to do business. Please be very careful when purchasing from this company.
I would not buy from here again. They shipped my overnight package by US mail from California to Pennsylvania. After a week I still don't have my part and my car is not drivable. Their "Customer Service" was too slow to react, I contacted them via their website since you cannot call them (red flag) It took a week to finally get them to credit my shipping charges and that is all they did. Don't take a chance with this website they are not reliable.
Was online looking for a head gasket for my 2003 Land Rover and happened to stumble upon Parts Geek. I took a chance and here I am with a brand new LOW PRICE head gasket that also came with FREE ground shipping. NO PROBLEMS!
What a NIGHTMARE. partsgeek.com sold & shipped me a fuel pump which failed after being in my vehicle about 2 weeks. It caused my car to die in the middle of the road.
I had it towed to a local shop (requiring me to pay for the part, labor & rental AGAIN). When seeking a refund, my frustration rose very quickly. I was receiving partial answers - and not in a timely manner. Phone number runs you around then hangs up. I finally read a review that suggested contacting the BBB - and that's when I finally got good answers.
The credited back the cost of the part + shipping (which they originally refused to do), and sent me a paid return label to ship the piece of junk back to them (which they also usually refuse to do).
Don't let them make you pay for shipping! This is their responsibility. If they want to ship you a piece of garbage, then they can pay for it!
The shop who fixed my car mentioned that a lot of online companies have a habit of reselling known defective parts - which is why they're so cheap.
WATCH OUT!
If you do buy from them, definitely DON'T get anything that can cause a safety hazard if it breaks!
Ordered Bosch brand wiper blades from my 2007 Subaru from Parts Geek this past weekend. I picked overnight shipping and received them today. Not all is bad as everyone says, it might just be bad luck for them, but I am happy.
I ordered a Ball Joint for my Chevy Trailblazer. It was being sold on PartsGeek.com for under $20 which is really awesome. I also ordered a 3-year warranty plan for a cheap price and I can't wait to get my part! I wish I could have got more than Ground Shipping for my part, but that is okay. Thanks, anyway.
Doesn't deserve half a star. Should have done my hw before ordering. Sad people benefit from scams. Sent broken parts, "customer service " hangs up on you after they don't answer for 20 mins. What a joke. Glad the part needed was fairly cheap so I will just eat the cost this time but will do my best to tell everyone how horrible this "business" is. Thanks for nothing.
Horrible customer service, the worst I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. I ordered a EVAP canister solenoid for my car, It has two male house connections coming from it. When I got the part in the mail, some idiot who sent it did not properly secure it inside the manufacturer's box, they just put bubble wrap around the small box, inside the bigger box. Since there was nothing inside the smaller box to keep the part from moving around, it obviously was getting shaken around during the long voyage from CA to WA. Something I figured should not have happened just based on the amount of items that this place has shipped being an internet parts dealer. So obviously I was mad when I received my broken part. Then to make matters worse, this place does not have a customer service telephone number. Instead you're supposed to go to their website and fill out a "ticket" which is sent via email. What a joke! I looked for hours for contact info. But i was unsuccessful, instead I just found a bunch of reviews from people with the same problem (no contact phone number). They emailed me a return shipping label, which was courteous but did not change my exasperation. I sent the part back hoping that they would just return a new part to me because it was a good price, but instead they sent me a brief email after ignoring my request several times to be contacted by phone, that stated that they cannot issue exchanges or replacements, it said to reorder. Hahaha like that's going to happen! These people are ridiculous and have no regard for customer satisfaction. I will never buy anything from them again. What a hassle. Two weeks, still no part and waiting for my money to be put back on my card. I thought I was getting a good deal, but I was really getting a big head ache. Don't buy anything from partsgeek!
Purchased a part. PartsGeek incorrectly labeled package and now its lost. Their mistake but i have to wait 30 days for resolution. Absolutely no customer service. They keep sending me Return Merchandise Labels. I never recieved and tracking never said delivered. Not a trustworthy comlany. No number for customer service but they provide a number for purchasing. Want your money. But after they get it, your on your own!
I love this site. It makes it so easy to use and great prices! I ordered a replacement fog light for my Toyota Corolla and it arrived in the 2-day shipping it was promised it would. I have nothing bad to say about Parts Geek. I suppose accidents do happen and I also suppose that most people who are satisfied with the products and services they receive don't care to review. But, here is my review—5 stars—thanks Parts Geek.
Part geek had the same part for drastically less then big box auto parts stores, and shipped my part the same day I ordered it. Very satisfied with their service and will order from them again in the future.
I purchased front drive parts for my Avalanche including front wheel hubs. One hub proved to be defective and when I tried to contact PartsGeek customer service I found that didn't have one. They provide no personal representative contact and rely on a submit a ticket for possible return consideration. I went thru their steps explaining that their product was defective because of an abs sensor malfunction in the hub. After three days of having to check online for their response. I finally received a Return Authorization. However I would be responsible for the shipping costs of approximately 30 dollars which was half the cost of the hub. I live in Pa and their site is located in N. J. but they ship out of San Bernadino Ca. Why this is is any ones guess but it sure makes returns cost prohibitive. Also according to what I could gather from their return policy they would not guarantee if and when I would receive a credit back to my card. I still need another hub but I won't be getting it from these people. Because in the end though their prices up front are good I would have been better off buying locally. Thanks for reading
How hard is it to send out a part that fits the year, make, and model of your car. Apparently very hard for Parts Geek. All I needed was a replacement mirror for a 2002 Ford Focus. Shipping was sloowww.Part arrived in a beat to hell box. Tear apart my door and put the new mirror on and find out it doesn't have threads for the interior knob, so basically the manual lever for controlling the mirror just flops around loose and looks like $#! T Part of ordering online is an assurance that you are going to get the right fit. Know your vehicles and the parts that will work for them! I will never use parts geek again.
I ordered brakes and rotors and they were all wrong. Worse yet they would not return them. There is no one you can contact on the phone and all emails were returned with total B. S. I will never order from them again
I ordered four (4) spark plug modules. I received three (3) new modules in new boxes and one (1) module which was burned out and melted in an old and torn box of different make. I emailed them and asked if they have any single good module in stock. Their response was to send everything back. I got the RMA and returned all of them. They did not acknowledge the return and did not refund anything. Can't reach them by phone. Should have searched on web about this lousy outfit. Don't buy from Parts Geek. Do your homework on them. Don't buy from Parts Geek.
I ordered an exhaust pipe with muffler. It arrived with absolutely no packaging of any kind, and guess what? It was damaged! Read the fine print on their site: No returns without an RMS number. After several emails over 2 weeks, I reached my "maximum" and the correspondence window stopped functioning.
It was then that I started calling the 800 number on their site repeatedly until I got a human who sounded like he just got up from a nap. With the RMA number I then mailed the piece back at my expense. When I got to the UPS store (the same carrier used to send it to me), I learned that UPS will not offer a nickel of insurance on a product that was not packaged like mine was when it arrived. Maybe UPS damaged the part, but it is equally possible and now I think more probable that they just sent out a damaged part to try and sell it.
After almost 4 weeks of waiting, I started calling them again and finally got someone to track down that they had actually received the part. Again read the fine print. They have 30 days to refund your money and in this case, they took every bit of it.
All in all, it took over 6 weeks from the time I received the bad part to the time I received my money. If you can wait that long for bad parts and service, you will find that for $20 more, you can deal with a reputable company.
They probably can't respond to your emails because they LOST on appeal of a lawsuit filed by another online autoparts company in California (USAP aka U.S. Auto Parts Network Inc) against PartsGeek and their owners. They are up to their neck in legal fees that they thought would be paid by USAP when USAP lost the original case, but NOW that decision has been reversed and PartsGeek has a large legal bill to pay since they LOST. Below is a link to the court case. It's a long read but shows how this company is quickly spiraling to a bankruptcy appearance. http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/USCOURTS-ca9-10-*******/pdf/USCOURTS-ca9-10-*******-0.pdf
Parts ordered online and delivered as promised. I never opened the box as I decided my daughters car did not need the part so I requested a RMA number to return the part. I mailed the part to the "special address" and completed all info. Nearly 30 days later I followed up with the company and gav them the RMA number. The first respone to my email was: A customer support staff member has replied to your support request, #******* with the following response:
Hello,
Please provide us with the return tracking number you obtained from the shipping facility when you shipped your return. This information can be found on your register receipt.
Thank You
Returns Department
This tells me the company is counting on you NOT having your tracking #. In my case I got my money back but this company is waiting to take advantage of you! Don't buy from Parts Geek! Also I found I could get the part cheaper on ebay if I needed it later.
PartsGeek is incompetent, non-responsive and NOT customer oriented. I ordered shocks and struts for a 2007 Hyundai. They sent the correct rear shocks, but sent two left front struts and no right front strut. I emailed them and asked them to pick up the wrong strut and deliver the correct one at the same time. They would not do it, and only communicated by one-way email, so when they responded, I could not email them back. When I called, they put me on hold for over an hour and would not pick up. Their email said I had to return the wrong strut at my cost. After many tries, I just gave up and deleted their charge from my credit card. They responded by saying that they had provided me with a return ticket, but they never did. Instead, they had FedEx email me without reference to PartsGeek. I went back in my deleted emails and found it. I had to pack it and arrange for shipping even though this was all their fault. When I emailed them to replace the strut with free shipping, they told me to call them. I again called, was on hold for over an hour, and nobody picked up. This entire transaction was a nightmare and cost me hours of time to straighten out. I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN, AND I SUGGEST THAT YOU NEVER DEAL WITH THEM EITHER.
Answer: Because they're unprofessional, unethical, communist fuckin jackasses!
Answer: Parts geek had the rudest and most infuriating customer service I've encountered ever.
Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
Answer: Because they are either crooks, or they have some nut in the warehouse grabbing whatever and sending it to you even if it's wrong wrong wrong!
