PartsGeek Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, primarily due to significant issues with order accuracy and return processes. Many reviews highlight frustrations over receiving incorrect parts and the subsequent difficulty in obtaining refunds, with customers often bearing return shipping costs for errors not of their making. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently described as inadequate, characterized by long wait times and unhelpful responses. While some customers noted prompt delivery of the correct items, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of reliability and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternative suppliers.

Sent the timing kit with missing parts. All my expense to send back. Will not send out the missing parts separately. There seem to be no place on their site to leave reviews or comments. All reviews I read before I purchase seem to be writes by themselves. No number to contact, have to goes online to generate ticket and wait for them. I will call my credit card company to hold the money. They should contact me if they want the money.

Bought an a/c pump for my work van, 96 E250 and the thing squealed like a pig. Complete junk, claiming as a new product. All set.

Hi there! I purchased an item which (my fault) was the wrong item. I have it boxed and placed the RMA number on the outside of the box. Where can I bring it to mail it back to its address and will it be free to return this product and getting the part I originally needed?

1st time I ordered a tailight from them and as soon as I opened the box I see a piece chipped off due to crappy packaging, I let that pass because they apologized and it was an easy fix for me. Now I buy an axle from them and they send the wrong part, it shorter and doesn't fit even though it says online that it does, so they tell me to send it back but I am responsible for shipping? In that case I would be paying more money out of pocket than the actual part. This company is terrible avoid at all cost

Do not use parts geek
August 7, 2015

Ordered wheel cylinders for my car, the parts that arrived were not even close. Customer service gave robotic replies by email only with a 24 to 48 hour lag between question and response. Would not order from them again. No resolution from company

I ordered brakes and rotors for all 4 of my tires through PartsGeek and was promised 3-day delivery at checkout. After 4 days, only 2 rotors had arrived. I contacted them regarding my missing parts via online ticket submission (because they do not have a customer service phone line) and it took them 2 days to reply to each message. They assumed that FedEx had tampered with the box instead of acknowledging their own shipping mistake. The rest of my parts finally arrived almost 3 weeks after my original order. In the meantime, I failed my NY state inspection (because of bad brake pads) and received a ticket 2 days later for no inspection sticker. The only redeeming factor is that the parts seem to be of good quality so far. I would only order through this site when you're in no rush and don't mind dealing with lousy customer support.

Ordered a number of parts, sporadically arrived from various places, doesn't look they actually stock anything, just front for other warehouses. They shipped several boxes on a single tracking number, one box never arrived. They have no way to contact customer support, support emails go unanswered although they claim 24hr response. Other review sites recommend calling your credit card company and freeze the funds, they will either ignore the card company and you get a refund, or they will respond when they don't get paid.
NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

I ordered a clutch kit from this place because I was having trouble finding it anywhere. It arrived very quickly, looks like the right kit, but then I find that the release bearing is broken and shows evidence of being previously installed. I try to contact them and find that the only way to do that is submit a ticket but their ticket system is down. Now I look and realize it says I have to return the entire kit at my expense even though it's their fault? WTF? I cannot believe a place with such poor customer service even exists.

I ordered a wheel and waited for it to arrive. The UPS tracking number said it hadn't left their warehouse. I finally called, and got in touch with someone after waiting for 12 minutes. He told me it must have been lost in their warehouse and they would issue a refund. When I received the email that they would issue the refund, it was short the shipping & handling (When the package NEVER even left their building) I have now been waiting for over an hour to talk to someone, while waiting for an email response from them. I am beyond annoyed and wish I would have read these reviews before I ordered...

Total Scam...
June 1, 2015

Parts Geek sent me the incorrect part, blamed it on me, and wanted me to pay for shipping and restocking. I selected the correct year make and model for the vehicle i needed, selected the part that came up and purchased it. When it came in it was incorrect. I contacted their customer service department (you can only email them and they take 24-48hours to respond) they blamed me and said i selected the wrong vehicle. I tried explaining to them several times that this was not my fault and that all i wanted was the correct part and a shipping label to return the wrong one and they refused to work with me. I finally had to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Meanwhile I have lost a good customer because I couldn't get her part in in time. These people DO NOT deserve your money. Buy from a more reputable company that has real customer service!

In the fine print it states, "I got a wrong part, who pays for return shipping?
We do not offer return shipping reimbursement regardless of the party at fault. All returns are freight prepaid by the customer." When they send the wrong part, YOU pay for return shipping. Go elsewhere, as they repeatedly send the wrong part several times in a row.

Well, I was concerned after ordering an alternator (2002 Passat) and then reading these negative reviews. Not only did I receive the correct part in excellent condition in 4 days, I got an RMA via email in hours. My return was processed in less than 2 days. So my experience has been much different. I will definitely buy from them again.

DO NOT BUY FROM FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY TRICK YOU INTO WRITING A GOOD REVIEW FOR THEM BY OFFERING YOU A FREE SHIPPING. I DID THAT AND THEY STILL CHARGED ME FOR SHIPPING. ONCE YOU PLACE AN ORDER, YOU CANNOT CANCEL IT. AND THEY MAKE YOU PAY FOR ALL RETURN SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES. THEY HAVE A REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. AND THEY SUCK AS A COMPANY.

This Action Crash GM******* Splash Panel / Skid Plate for under the front part of an engine worked great. It is an exact replacement on a 2007 Buick Lucerne. The only thing to remember in installing is on the front part under the bumper you may have to use vinyl tie straps rather than the stock gm clips. The clips work fine where you attach the splash guard to metal, but not so well where it attaches to the plastic bumper. All in all a nice replacement for the original stock piece.

Well, as it turns out the motor assembly I ordered for my van was NOT the fault of Parts Geek, I apologize for bad-mouthing them. Further investigation revealed Cardone, the manufacturer of the assembly is the party at fault here. When I called them Cardone could neither confirm nor deny the part THEY specified was correct... what the H3LL! If I had purchased a Jap car I bet this would never have happened. I will not buy another Ford, GM or Chrysler product ever again. I've been buying American cars since I graduated college back in 1980 but after all the blood, sweat and tears I've suffered over maintaining these vehicles I AM OVER IT! My wife's 2000 Toyota Tacoma truck has never been in the shop for a problem, ever, can't say that for any of the 17 American vehicles I've owned thus far. My next vehicle will be a Toyota... sorry Ford, GM and Chrysler, ya'll had your chance and you blew it.

About a month ago, the emblem fell off of my Mercedes. Instead of taking my car to the dealership I decided to take a chance online and see if anyone would sell them for cheap. One place I found was PartsGeek.com. The one I chose was an OEM Genuine brand emblem which was available for $39.33. I ordered a 1 year warranty plan since it was free, and with the shipping it ended up being $48.28 for standard shipping. Overall my experience with the website was not bad at all, so that is a plus. I also got my part yesterday—two weeks after I ordered it and it seems fine. I just hope it stays on there.

I ordered an air intake tube for a 97 land cruiser and the part that arrived was OEM, so a perfect fit, and was about $30 less than the dealer. And it arrived in about 4 days. Amazing service and price! Couldn't be happier.
