PartsGeek Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, primarily due to significant issues with order accuracy and return processes. Many reviews highlight frustrations over receiving incorrect parts and the subsequent difficulty in obtaining refunds, with customers often bearing return shipping costs for errors not of their making. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently described as inadequate, characterized by long wait times and unhelpful responses. While some customers noted prompt delivery of the correct items, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of reliability and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternative suppliers.

DO NOT ORDER BRAKE CALIPERS FROM HERE. You will end up paying full price including the core refund and they will not refund your core refund. I ordered 4 brake calipers for my car and was very pleased with the parts, they work great. So i took my old calipers and mailed them to the address stated on the piece of paper in the box. Apparently that was not the address I was supposed to return them too, even though it's the one on the paper in the box. 30 days later they were able to locate 2 of the 4 calipers i sent to centric parts. They told me they were refunding me for 2 out of the 4 core deposits. When I got upset that they would not refund my full core deposit they decided to cancel all refunds and not give me any money. I would have gladly taken the 2 out of the 4 refunds but they are refusing to cooperate. So in the end I paid the price of the calipers plus the core deposits plus the 100$ for shipping the old calipers... and also lost all my old calipers... not such a great deal in my opinion. Tried to work it out with them, seeing how they are such a large business I figured they could help me out. They refused to help me out.

This company has NO customer service, and when you are able to speak to someone, it sounds like a stoned moron drinking a Budweiser. They sent me the wrong part, because they listed it wrong. I told them if they went to the actual part maker's website, they would be able to see the part the sent me is for a completely different car, but they still want me to pay return shipping, and wait up to 30 days for a refund? Screw this!

Also, calling them is hell. You wait on hold for 10 minutes while this awful generic guitar riff plays on a loop with a congested dude repeating the same "thank you for holding" message over and over again. Then, your call is automatically disconnected after they redirect you to the website to wait up to 48 hours for a general response to your inquiry.

I ordered a axle assembly for a 82 vw they sent a 85 assembly it will not fit. I paid to ship it back and they won't pay me back for the shipping. Because they sent the wrong part I am out the shipping cost to return it. Do not do business with them they are unethical. They don't give a damm about customers, I have bought parts on the Web before but this one takes the cake.

Words cannot describe the hideous, vulgar attitude of this company toward its customers. I didn't know that companies like this still existed in America. Maybe only in New Jersey. They have a BBB rating of "F". They don't have a phone number for customer service and the only way you can reach them is via a cumbersome and slow online 'ticket.' You can't change an order. You can't cancel an order. The written correspondence you get from them, in response to your 'ticket', is bizarre - often unrelated to the nature of your issues, written in fractured bits of sentences, impolite, rude, hopeless. And, if you have a shipping address that includes an apartment number or other details, those details will not be included in the shipping address that UPS or USPS gets. That results in undelivered packages, or extensive delays. They often designate a UPS package as "no address changes allowed," which means if you call UPS about an undelivered package and provide your apartment number or other important address detail that is missing and has made delivery impossible, UPS won't add that to the delivery address because Parts Geek has disallowed it. Why? Just to be dirty and mean. The only way to resolve the issue is a 'ticket', since you can't reach these people by phone. That takes time and if it's Friday afternoon you'll be waiting well into the following week to get a reply. If you are able to receive some merchandise from them it will probably look like it was dragged behind the UPS truck for a few hundred miles. Want to complain? You can't! At Parts Geek the customer is always wrong! Any dollars you might save by ordering from this hellish place will never be worth the risk. Hopefully this company will soon collapse into its own cesspool and management will truly get to enjoy the 'fruits' of their labors.

Stay away from this company, I had a legitimate reason to return a damaged tool box, but they would not work with me at all.

My part arrived as if it was dropped from a 13th floor bldg. So that had to be returned immediately, right? Wrong! It took a week to get an RMA from them and another week for a Fedex label. It took a total of a month and a half to finally receive my full refund and It was not an easy task. All inquiries are processed through a ticketing system which they pick up about a day later if you're lucky. They respond with more questions that have already been answered in their template in the ticket, thus further delaying the process. I believe this is purposely done to give them more time. You will then have to wait another 2+ days to get a response back. Keep in mind that the vehicle that needs the parts will be decommissioned while all these B. S. go on and on. Anyway, my only vehicle needed to be fixed right away, so I just went to a local parts store and got everything right the first time and my vehicle was fixed the same day. I had to pay more, but no headaches in the end.

I'll give the 2 stars for site's ease of use and prices. Negative stars for customer support.

This store can be good If they can get their crap together with customer service; Immediate response times, returns and exchanges like most online shops!

Horrible customer service. Impossible to communicate with this company. They simply ignore you after they get your money. Got incorrect part (listed incorrectly on their website) and then was informed I would need to pay for return even though this was their fault. Terrible way to do business and I will work to inform as many people as possible to stay away from this business. The reviews they show on their website are completely bogus.

I have tried to call there 800 number and stood on hold for over 20 min each time and been told i have used mu max open ticket allotment. Now im scared to send return and have to wait for my refund for fear i wont get it

Absolutely agree with the worst reviews! Would give 0 if I could. Ordered a break pads for my Acura TL. The invoice stated correct part. However upon delivery was surprised to see pads for Honda Civic. Customer service absolutely horrible, unresponsive. A few months later decided to give another shot and ordered another set of pads from them. Order got canceled without any notification. Wouldn't risk dealing with them again and definitely don't recommend anyone else. If you already had, I would suggest all unsatisfied customers just dispute the charges with their credit cards. That's the best way to affect such a sham businesses who don't give a $#*! about customers. Just do it quick as there's a time limit on that.

Ordered parts for my Kia. All three clutch parts were wrong. Auto Geek would not call or e/mail me said I have to pay for return. Just trashed the parts and bought local. Parts Geek Is actually Keystone Automotive located in NC. Never trust these people. This is what makes the world such a $#*!y place. Nobody I talk will ever purchase from these people.

Purchased car parts from this company and it turned out to be clearly defective within 2 days. Requested and received a RMA for return (at my cost) and refund. Sent the items back 6-17-14 and after 53 days as of Aug 9-2014 have not received my refund or any information. When contacting company all I get is a auto reply of "a support ticket has been initiated and someone will contact you". Company has now refused to contact me since my last request on Aug 6 and previous requests since July.
I'm out $81 so far and no satisfaction.

I was shopping for this clutch local in in the Phoenix area and was being quoted prices as high as $260.00 and was told that nobody in the Western United States had one. Parts Geek had one in stock for less than $170.00 free shipping and I had it in just a few days! I will use Parts Geek all the time and save lots of money!

This company is the epitome of all the things that people fear when shopping online from false advertising to negligent customer service.

I purchased a mirror for my car and when I received it I realized that it was not the correct mirror--not that I was sent a completely different mirror, but that the mirror was close to the original manufacturer mirror but didn't come close to fitting properly as the base was bigger.

I contacted customer service several times and not one time did they resolve the situation. The tickets I opened were either completely ignored, the questions weren't answered and I was directed back to square one, or I was asked for my vin number and part number and when I provided the info I never heard from the rep again. Each of these incidences happened more than once. I had to open a number of tickets and no one helped me. ALSO, you have to have an RMA to return a part. I requested several times for an RMA and no one provided me one nor did they reply. I also called their customer service number, put it on speaker and let it sit for over ten minutes. No one answered.

I finally had to call my bank to dispute the charge to get my money back. Shame on me for not reading the reviews on this company before making the purchase. Thereafter I read dozens of similar experiences from this company on other review sites. This company doesn't even deserve one star.

They falsely advertise, they do not respond to ticket claims. Read their shipping policy very carefully. That alone should make one suspicious of the quality of this company. The Better Business Bureau also has a number of claims against this company.

Purchased a window wiper motor that has a 12 month warranty. The part failed at about 7 months use. Followed there procedure for return authorization with all the required documentation. Was told a credit would be issued in 3-7 days. It has been over 32 days and they appear to have forgotten how to issue a credit. Not impresses as they have nothing to loose as they have my money. Don't take the risk with this company. They are an example of what not to be from the service side of business.

The worst customer service and policies of any company I have ever bought a product from. The state on the web sites terms and conditions that if the site has errors on it, they are not liable! 30 day return policy or your funds. No one ever answers the 1-800 number listed on the site. You will receive Auto responses about your Ticket after normal Business hours when they claim to not be open. True, they have the cheapest prices around, but when one thing goes wrong, expect a long wait, and a sad resolution.

Why did I not read these reviews before ordering from partsgeek?!? They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and that's saying a lot since I've spent hours on the phone with Dell Computer.

Autopartswarehouse. Com isn't great, but it's so, so much better than partsgeek.

I guess partsgeek could work our IF their website matches your car with the right parts and IF they actually deliver those parts to you. If not, good luck. They make you pay to return the parts (after gouging you on shipping in the first place) and then pay a re-stocking fee!
