PartsGeek Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, primarily due to significant issues with order accuracy and return processes. Many reviews highlight frustrations over receiving incorrect parts and the subsequent difficulty in obtaining refunds, with customers often bearing return shipping costs for errors not of their making. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently described as inadequate, characterized by long wait times and unhelpful responses. While some customers noted prompt delivery of the correct items, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of reliability and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternative suppliers.

If I could give zero stars, I would.

We ordered a CV half shaft. After installation, the car vibrated and shook so uncontrollably that it was rendered undriveable until a replacement part FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY was delivered. The FAULTY PART then attempted to be returned. You can not, for the life of you, get a human being on the phone. They virtually make it impossible to return an item. Emails upon emails (all of which take 24-28 hours). By the time you even know the part is faulty, and get the thing in the mail it's close to their "no returns after 30 days no exceptions" policy. I was told I would have to pay for my own shipping back, and then a 15% fee for restocking. Ridiculous.

TERRIBLE POLICIES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
I ordered an alternator on the Parts Geek website where their 'fitment' chart states it will fit a stock application. IT DOES NOT. Not even close. Now I have to pay to return it. Basically I get stiffed for shipping the wrong part both ways + wait 30 days to be reimbursed. Don't bother trying to get help through their phone service. Of the two numbers one has extreme wait times and the other just hangs up on you immediately. It's the worst I've experienced in many years. There never was an apology or the slightest attempt to make it right. TERRIBLE POLICIES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE

"Excited when I first found PartsGeek.com, I ordered over $1,200 in my first month as a customer and close to that my second month. Things were fine until I needed CUSTOMER SERVICE. I needed to return under $80 in parts not used. I have submitted online support tickets 7 times thus far and am STILL waiting for a refund for returned items they RECEIVED (sent with tracking) over 2 MONTHS AGO! Their lack of phone support/service and canned online email responses are disgusting. This may be how they keep prices down, but they have lost me as a customer over a minimal amount because they lack professionalism, responsibility, and honest business practices. Stay away, because chances are some day you will need customer service and this company just does not have any of that in stock... EVER!

It took 1 week to deliver within the US. (I typically get anything in 3 days)

The box was beat up and had labels removed, obviously it was sold to someone else before. I bought something "new."

The part in the box was not the right part, but the box was labeled as the part I needed.

I found that out after I completely tore the car apart.

Then, I tried to get customer service. I wrote the email that they had written to me, but it stated that they did not receive emails.

I went to their website and got a phone number, but it said that I had to use their ticketing system.

The ticketing system is down.

If there were negative stars, I would use those to rate this site. Horrible experience. I ordered headlight assemblies for my car that said they would fit, but they were wrong. Completely different mounting hardware, definitely not for the year car I had. On top of waiting over a week for the parts to come, I had to pay return shaping myself. And will have to also pay a restocking fee. What a rip off. I wrote a negative review on their site, but they block all negative reviews. They only post what they want. Completely phony and deceptive. Do not buy from them.

I ordered a foglight switch for 06 tundra and recieved a windshield wiper switch, It almost seems as they done it on purpose as the part was so different in price and now ts impossible to return, the site will not let me create a return ticket and I tried 20 times, I paid 120.00 for foglight switch and recieved a 40 dollar wiper switch... do yourself a favor and pay more and get from a brick n mortar store, never get scqmmed by parts geek, I cant beleive all the complaints on them, wish I would have looked beforehand... also everybody post about them on your local craigslist under auto parts.

I only give this site 1 star because there is no lower rating. 1 star is far to Generous. I am in Ahh that a site with this bad of customer service and no ability to get you the right part, even exists. The worst experience I have ever had on the internet and I do a lot of business on the internet. E-bay Auto I found is cheaper and faster with better results and you can get your $$$ back. I will never use these guys again. Wrong part after wrong part delivered and I have to pay the shipping back. Ridiculous experience. These guys need to be shut down! Be warned, Stay away!

Ordered parts and never received. Took my money plus shipping of their choice.
Now am told that it will take at least 30 days for a claim that they put through on MY behalf. They take no responsibility for the process. Hidding behind the fact that they are a Limited Liability Corp. THEN they invite me to reorder, and of course take my money AGAIN but are so kind to waive the shipping charges. WHAT a SHAM. No part received--No satisfaction--BUT they got my $$$money
At least their name sounds like the way they operate---Creeps. There are many other sites on the internet that can't possible be this bad. Use them.

Just like most other reviews here, I ordered a part for my car that Part Geek's website said would match. It didn't. It was the wrong part. Calling customer service is not possible, so I opened a trouble ticket. They want me to pay my original shipping, my return shipping and a possible 15% restocking fee. Every time I go back to them explaining that this was their fault, I get the same boiler plate email instructing me how to return the item. If I follow their instructions, this mistake by THEM will end up costing me about $20. I finally had to call my credit card company and ask them to deal with it. Positively the worse online company I have EVER dealt with. RUN AWAY!

The part I ordered a muffler and tailpipe for 1992 4x4 Toyota pickup swb 2.4 engine came within 3 days which was great except the part was for a 2wd truck. It was going to cost me more to send the part back than I was willing to pay. All return shipping to parts geek is on the consumer no mater who"s fault it is, this is their policy. This is the worst online shopping experience I have ever had, consumer beware this company will rip you off.

I thought they were a reputable company. Unfortunately any sort of customer service fails to exist. The ability to place a ticket for research does not exist. I am so sorry I depended upon this firm. First and last of my $ they will get.

I read all the negative commits on the internet about this company and was afraid to do business with them, but their prices were so great I decided to take a chance. Everything as delivered as ordered and on time. I usually do not write recommendation but I could have missed out on one of the best companies that I have done business with on the Internet.

Thank You Parts Geek

In the entire time I have been an active member of online shopping I have never encountered a worst company than this. Partsgeek.com has god awful customer service and a complete disregard for the customer.

My experience has been not being able to talk to anyone unless I email their returns department and create a ticket, which in turn I get an actual response every two days via email.

I've waited on hold for well over an hour to get hung up on after some pre-recorded voice tells me to "submit an online ticket".

I was sent a wrong part out of complete stupidity because the description of the part I wanted was placed, not even fully over, the sticker of the other parts name and model number. An imbecile of a mistake. It would seem as though someone was high and replacing stickers.

After waiting for 8 DAYS to get confirmation to return the product, they are making me pay for the shipping for their own mistake! Now I can't get a hold of anyone via telephone just to get it resolved.

I just finished filing a complaint with BBB regarding Parts Geek.

It has now been a month since I unfortunately decided to order from this company two headlight assemblies and two headlight bulbs. One assembly was shipped defective and understandably was returned (for which I paid out of pocket shipping), along with the bulbs.

Not only did I call for two weeks, but I emailed for two weeks in full detail about all parts of the return. Why offer a customer service telephone # that does not get answered? When they did reply by email, they only mentioned and admitted that the headlight assembly was "mis shipped." Countless times I brought the bulbs to their attention as well as they were also included in the same box that I returned to them. And, once I checked my bank statement for the refund, it only included the refund for the assembly and not the light bulbs!

The same was brought to their attention, to no avail.

Parts Geek stole my money and I am out for returned shipping. After reading some of the other reviews about this sad, sad company, I guess I should be "happy" that I was only robbed of $20?: / In hindsight, I should have read the reviews before I bought the lights out of desperation.

They falsely label their parts. Do not visit this site. They have poor cancellation on incorrect orders. I was looking for instrument panel lights and ended up ordering something completely different. They miss labeled the parts as Instrument lights.
I called to cancel within minutes but call was unanswered and hung up upon. I filled out a ticket on their system but am not hopeful of getting my situation resolved. Stay away from this site. Google needs to lower their status.

I have the wrong part and NO way to return it. There is NO customer service at Parts Geek and you will be buying at your own risk. I am out $140 with no chance of ever seeing any kind of refund.
