PartsGeek Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, primarily due to significant issues with order accuracy and return processes. Many reviews highlight frustrations over receiving incorrect parts and the subsequent difficulty in obtaining refunds, with customers often bearing return shipping costs for errors not of their making. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently described as inadequate, characterized by long wait times and unhelpful responses. While some customers noted prompt delivery of the correct items, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of reliability and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternative suppliers.

Parts geek sent me a refurbished master cylinder. When my mechanic put it in
It FAILED. It twas guaranteed to have new seals and was working properly. So I
Tried to return it and I could not get a real person on the phone. THEY COULD
HAVE KILLED ME! These people are making money this way it's wrong. If the
Master cylinder failed on me when I was on the highway on my way up north I
Would have bin KILLED. If I lived I could have sued them out of business. These
People have no business ethics at all and are very very unprofessional and stupid
My advice to EVERYONE is DO NOT BUY BREAK PARTS FROM Partsgeek.com!
Save your self the hell and go to any other web site. I could go on for ever of how
Much I hate these people. We should all come together and put them out of business! I GIVE THEM 0 STARS!

Buyer beware if Parts Geek sends you the wrong part you will be picking up the tab to send back, even when its not your fault.

Fine Print:
6. All returns are freight prepaid by the customer. We do not offer return shipping reimbursement regardless of the party at fault.

I would not recommend them to anyone, cant even talk to anyone on the phone, very poor service.

I wish I'd seen these reviews before I bought.

I have ordered bearings, and other parts from this site. They arrive quickly and it's the right part. I replaced the bearing on my car a year ago and it's still going strong.

I received an exhaust manifold for my 86 toyota 4x4. The product arrived fast but with completely unusable gaskets. When I contacted the company to report the damage, I was told was that I could return the product at my own shipping expense. These clowns do not back there products, nor do they know what customer service is. Do yourself a favor and go to your local auto parts store, it maybe a few extra bucks more but you can inspect it yourself.

HORRIBLE
November 10, 2013

HORRIBLE.

PartsGeek is more of a scam than a business. Unscrupulous, IMPOSSIBLE to contact. They answer neither emails nor the the phone. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE, FRUSTRATION, and MONEY. Avoid PartsGeek like the plague.

I purchased a clutch for my 1994 Ford Escort 5 speed transmission from Parts Geek. I used

There online vehicle match tool and what was supposedly an exact match came up. I purchased

The clutch only to find out later I need the transmission also. It took my several months to

Find a 5 speed transmission for my car. When I got the transmission I took it to my mechanic

Along with the clutch I purchased from Parts Geek. The mechanic informed me that it was the

Wrong clutch for my car. He had removed the old one and showed me that they were completely

Different. I contacted Parts Geek about my situation. They only have e-mail as way of

Communication. They do not have a customer service department for you to talk to actual

Person. They do this so that they can ignore customer complaints and refer them to their

"return policy". This is not the way business is done when you have competitors that pride

Themselves on excellent customer service. I would not recommend this company to nobody.

Don't buy from them!
October 21, 2013

Don't buy from them! NO customer service. You have to communicate via email which takes 24-48 hrs for a reply. Read their terms before you buy!
I purchased a catalytic converter for a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 and it was supposed to be a direct fit. I had to take to a local shop and have them modify. Parts Geek is still advertising the part to fit a 2002 when it is actually for a 2001 model truck.

Stay away from this company. This company has hundreds of complaints about them send it to the wrong address or the wrong part purposely. They purposely put the wrong address on my shipment and blamed me that I did it. It never arrived. They charged me a 15% RESTOCKING FEE and the price it costs to ship the item because they put the wrong address. They lost my business forever for a 15% restocking fee as well as I am going to tell everyone about the scam you are running. You will lose a lot more than that. The company owners are a bunch of criminals. They never answer the phone, they avoid your emailed questions about them sending it to the wrong address and blame the customer for everything. Save yourself the trouble and order somewhere else. They do not believe in customer service.

The only reason I am rating the company a 1 star is that 0 stars is not an option. This is the WORST Company I have ever dealt with. They are drop shippers and have no idea what their parts are. When the part is wrong the try to weasel out of paying return shipping. When told them the wiring harness was wrong and not for the truck they sold it for. Their response was to cut my wiring harness and since could modify it in that manor they would not pay return shipping. My suggestion is TO RUN NOW. The good reviews you are reading are all solicited by them for a 10.00 off coupon. RUNNNNNN FOREST RUNNNNNNN!

DO NOT PURCHASE PRODUCTS FROM THIS WEBSITE.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY WILL PURPOSELY SHIP YOU THE WRONG PART SO YOU WILL NEED TO RETURN IT, WHICH IN TURN, YOU PAY A 20% RESTOCKING FEE.

NO ONE WILL HELP YOU. THEY ARE CROOKS.

MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT JUST TAKE MY WORD FOR IT. RESEARCH 'PARTS GEEK RIP OFF" - READ FOR YOURSELF.

I received a damaged radiator that obviously was damamaged in transit. Other with dealing with lack of live phone support and communicating only thru emails, I have nothing bad to say. My credit card was refunded the entire amount in a matter of days. I have ordered several other parts from them for both of my vehicles with no other problems. I do not work for them in any fashion nor do I have any other connection outside of being a consumer.

Partsgeek.com is a scam. They will send you the incorrect part then make it hard for you to get a refund. You will eventually give up and write off the expense.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this bogus company. I wish I had.

Worse online company I ever dealt with. I suggest that if anyone wants to purchase anything from them, DON'T. Try to call the phone number they give for sales or customer support first. That will tell you everything. You will be put on hold for about 20 minutes and then you will get a recording that they are too busy and to try back later on, then it will hang up on you every time. You can never talk to a person. When you fill out a support ticket they might get back to you in 24 hours, but the answer to your question was not answered. Then you have to fill out another support ticket and wait another 24 hours. The same thing happens. I wish I paid a little more money for the parts I ordered, but with a reputable company. They sold me headlight assemblies for a car and both parking / signal lights melted and don't work after a few months of use. They melted within a month of each other. This is a fire and safety hazard. They do not want to know anything about it. Please stay away from this company and go with a better qualified online service.

I contacted Parts Geek before my purchase to make sure the alternator I wanted to buy has a built in regulator. "Yes it does", came the reply via email. So I ordered the part and - surprise - it did NOT. Getting in contact with the company afterwards proved to be an exercise in patience. They do not want to be called and talk to you over the phone, hence their phone number is not displayed on their website. Customer Support? Good luck with that one. Twice I was told by generic email that I would be contacted and provided with return information within 24 to 48 hours. After that: crickets. Eventually, after five or six days of nothingness, I sent another email, announcing I would be using their non-compatible part as an anchor. I finally received return instructions today, but although the fault was clearly theirs, guess who is paying for return shipping? Yours truly. It is very obvious that the people that work at Parts Geek either have little or no knowledge of the products they are selling or they simply do not care. I will certainly never buy another part from these people.

RECOMMENDATION
July 10, 2013

RECOMMENDATION - FIND ANOTHER PARTS DEALER (Rock Auto, Advance Auto Parts, Pep Boys, NAPA, CarQuest).
I can affirm the comments that Parts Geek (http://partsgeek.com) provides the absolute minimum in customer service. Be forewarned - the company has a bulk shipper rate for parts they send you. They shipped me a large pipe for $27, next-day. When I needed to return the pipe the lowest consumer rate to return it was $184. That's nearly 6x the cost they paid. I contacted PG to see if they would allow me to pay them for return shipping and postage to send me the shipping label. Their response was a single sentence, "We are sorry but we can not do anything about the return shipping for your part." When I tried to call them the line went to Hold and no-one ever picked up although I left the line connected on speaker for more than 15 minutes on multiple calls.

Partsgeek.com customer service is NON existent. Don't bother wasting your time calling. Maybe if you have 24-48 hours to waste send them an email and wait for a response. Really its ******* get it together you have people trying to buy parts now, not tomorrow or the next day. As i write this one of my 5 boxes shipped is floating around new york somewhere days behind the other packages. PS if your a new customer and want to ship to a different address better call the credit card company and add that address to it or they will cancel your order with no notice and no response to email. The worst company I ever dealt with. BEWARE

I was sent the correct part BOXES, unfortunately there were different parts inside the box. They refuse to acknowledge they sent the wrong parts and I would have to send the parts back at my own cost, pay a 15% restocking fee and reorder the parts... with no guarantee that it wont happen again. There is not an option to talk to a person and after you "open a ticket" they send you a generic email back with their address saying you should get insurance and a tracking number when shipping parts back because they are not responsible if it gets lost. AWFUL COMPANY... I do not recommend them at all. Go somewhere else and save yourself the money and the headache.

Ordered a tail light for my 2002 Infiniti I35. Was sent a tail light for an 2000 Infiniti I30. Product description did not match what was sent. I opened a service ticket online with them, waiting to hear back. Based on the reviews here, I don't expect much. Never heard of a company with no customer service phone number. All of the emails they sent are "do not reply". I've already placed a complaint with my credit card company. I have no intention of paying for return shipping or any restocking fee. Worst of all, they don't even have the correct part for my car. Just checked their BBB rating... an F. Lesson learned. At least Discover Card has my back in this fight.
