PartsGeek Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, primarily due to significant issues with order accuracy and return processes. Many reviews highlight frustrations over receiving incorrect parts and the subsequent difficulty in obtaining refunds, with customers often bearing return shipping costs for errors not of their making. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently described as inadequate, characterized by long wait times and unhelpful responses. While some customers noted prompt delivery of the correct items, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of reliability and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternative suppliers.

First of all, the description was wrong on their website so I ended up buying more than I needed. I sent the stuff back in Sept 2012 and they stalled and stalled and finally said they wouldn't refund even though I provided receipt proof by USPS that I returned the products. The customer service sucks and their website has misleading parts information. Buyer beware!

Sent the wrong part, muffler for 08 Mazda 6. Hurricane, and insurance delays on auto body repair, rear end hit left rear muffler had to be replaced. Would not take part back because of 30 day return policy. About 45 days. What business would not make an exception in these circumstances? One that has No Business sense or customer friendliness. Obviously short sighted and Not Recommended

I ordered a grille for my Mazda 626 and they sent me the wrong grille. Then they told me that I ordered the wrong part. They required me to pay to ship the wrong part back and all of our communication was done through e-mail with no customer service phone number. This company is Keystone Automotive Industries in North Carolina and I am contacting North Carolina Attorney General and the Charlotte Better Business Bureau to file complaints so people are aware of the lack of customer service and their refusal to take responsibility for their mistakes.

Maybe this is a fluke but am surprised to read these bad reviews about Parts Geek. My experience with them was good. I ordered several parts from them for my Mercedes 300D including 2 rear axles. The axles were A1 Cardone with $60 core charge each. I returned the cores and got my $120 core charge back. I can't think of anything negative to say about them other than it might have been hard to contact them by phone but they always responded to my emails.

"Potential buyers beware, this company is a joke. Ordered brake pads, sensors and rotors for my 2005 c230, was given 2 tracking #'s, 1st order showed up and was complete with the 2 brake pads and sensors, next day 2nd order shows up with 1 rotor in a box which clearly states qty of 2, trying to get a hold of someone through their 800 is a joke, impossible, forced to leave an online ticket which can take 24/48 to respond, have gone back and forth with them going on 2 weeks and now they are blaming UPS for a missing package and I'm supposed to deal directly with them, when clearly I got the 2 shipments which stated all my items were supposed to be boxed in and their warehouse did not package the 2nd rotor inside one of the boxes. Instead of either sending me my rotor which is missing or refunding the $ for it, I know have to go through loops with UPS for a trace of a lost package? Which once again is NOT the case since I got both correctly shipped packages, but the contents of one which parts geeks failed to include both rotors... Trust me, save your $ from these thief’s and do your business elsewhere."

I ordered three parts. All three parts arrived in one box. Only one of the parts was correct. The second was a generic knock off of the brand name they advertised. I was still charged full price for the knock off brand. The third item was completely wrong. I called and like everyone else, no answer and the voice mail was full so it just hung up on me. I submitted a ticket but they have a policy. We require the customer to pay for shipping no matter who is at fault. Think about that before ordering, some knuckle head in a warehouse who could care less, grabs any item and throws it in a box saying shipment complete. When you get the wrong item you have to pay to ship it back plus a 15% restocking fee. WTF! No legit company does this. This is a total scam. I will never order from them again. Please do not risk spending your hard earned money and such a terrible company with no accountability. I am only out $40 bucks but still hate to see other people also lose money. Please save yourself the feeling of being ripped off if nothing else Order from someone else or go see your local auto store. This is basically fraud by sending generic parts and not honoring the correct parts being sent.

Twice ordered the same part as it indicated it was in stock - the second time after speaking to their customer service on the phone to confirm, only to receive an email stating the part was in backorder and that the order was being cancelled and to check back in 1-2 weeks.

States parts are in stock until you order them, then you only receive part of your order. Quit waiting for "customer service" after being on hold for 30 minutes. Finally got an email saying parts are backordered, try again in a week of two. Asked about getting my 2-day shipping money back since the parts that were backordered were the ones I needed quickly and was told basically tough for you, no refund. Will never do business with again.

I order a set of rotors and it came 1 rotor and i call them but it hangs up after 15 min of holding. Try emailing them, they will respond 2 days later. They told me its catalog error and offer me a free shipping but i have to buy another rotor at full price. I ask for a return label and full refund. Thats 3 weeks ago. Still waiting for my return label but now i'm going thru my credit card and put in a dispute... as i was talking to a representative some one was using my card somewhere in california. DO NOT BUY FROM PARTS GEEK. MONITOR YOUR CARD IF YOU DID BUY FROM THEM. I only use my card for paypal and restaurant. I'm not 100% sure but evident shows the last time i use my card was with partsgeek and some paypal. I have been using paypal for over 10 years. No problem at all. Most of the restaurant i go is the same over and over again. No problem. I also used my card on BP gas station. The one i been using for almost 2 years. No problem. After i order from partsgeek.com and 3 weeks later this happen... i guess if you have problem with partsgeek.com and ask for return label and refund, they just simply sell your credit card info..

BEWARE!
March 16, 2012

BEWARE! Any positive reviews in this list are from employees, not customers. After a two week ordeal on a near thousand dollar order, I was left astonished, insulted and empty handed. After no contact for over a week, I contacted them and received "some of the parts you ordered were not in stock, now they are. Please re checkout". I then requested a supervisor call me and either fill the order or cancel it, I received "your order has been cancelled". I then thanked them for wasting my time and I received "You're very welcome! Thank you for shopping with us! Customer Service". I will be cancelling that card as I expect the number will soon be sold.

They sent all the right parts but I would like to get this car put together but hell is going to freeeze over before I get all the parts. Plus it is like dealing with the wizard of Oz when you have an issue... good luck getting ahold of any one. So I look else where now... I did get some parts in a timely manner but that seems to have been a fluke.

They shipped me wrong item, and their policy does not pay for return shipping.
They can ship anything they want without considering the consequence to the reciever and we waste time and pay money to return it and they do not even want to understand.

I ordered a 98' Toyota Camry door front door handle from them, a few days later I received the wrong part. Instead of the front right door handle, I was sent the right rear door handle. However, my brother ordered a 97' Nissan Altima right rear view mirror and the correct part was sent. I tried emailing PartsGeek, they told me to send the part back. So I did, and I haven't heard back from them since. I have called numerous times and still haven't spoken with a representative. I strongly don't recommend ordering from PartsGeek EVER!

Partsgeek.com sent me the wrong parts. I ordered front rotors, they sent me rear rotors. Hey, easy to fix, right? Let me send them back and send me the right ones. That would be ethical and good business. BUT THEY WANT ME TO PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING! Now I am looking at buying another set locally and paying for shipping. Oh and my car is in the shop already. Terrible customer service. Terrible policy, Partsgeek.com!

Ordered an oil dipstick & holster funnel from this website. When I went to checkout, my shipping charge was $3.45. Added a breather hose & it showed a seperate shipping charge just for the hose itself, for $7.50. My card was charged for the cost of all 3 items & both shipping charges. A week later, I receive the dipstick & funnel, but no breather hose. No explanation for my missing part on the invoice, packing slip or by email, NOTHING. So I email them after several futile attempts to contact them by phone & get a response stating that the hose was out of stock & I should look for a refund to my card by the end of the week. I emailed them back asking if I'd also be receiving a refund for the $7.50 seperate shipping charge on this out of stock item, to which they responded that I would only receive a refund of the $3.45 shipping charge if anything. Yes, they actually said "if anything". At this point, I'm just OVER it & don't choose to argue with these morons about the 2 seperate shipping charges & decide to just wait patently for my refund. 4 days later, still no refund, but did receive an automated email telling me my refund had been processed, and guess what? Its only for the cost of the missing hose, NO refund for shipping whatsoever. Now I do realize its only $7.50 they're ripping me off, but its not about the amount, its the principle. Save your money! Its not worth a lower price if they steal your money on shipping charges for out of stock items, PERIOD! Will definitely be reporting to the Better Business Bureau!
