PartsGeek Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, primarily due to significant issues with order accuracy and return processes. Many reviews highlight frustrations over receiving incorrect parts and the subsequent difficulty in obtaining refunds, with customers often bearing return shipping costs for errors not of their making. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently described as inadequate, characterized by long wait times and unhelpful responses. While some customers noted prompt delivery of the correct items, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of reliability and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternative suppliers.

Buyer Beware
August 27, 2019

Do not do business with these people. We purchased a part from them and was sent the wrong part. We made multiple calls to attempt to return it. I finally got in touch with them and they said we were one day past the return date of 30 days. They would not refund our money even though they sent the wrong part.

I ordered (2) parts through their online service and their site duplicated my order. They charged me twice and sent me (2) of the same items as well as (2) times the shipping. When I saw the duplicate charges on my credit card, I called to let them know that they duplicated my order and that I only needed one order. The customer service person told me to just refuse the second package and when they receive it back at their warehouse, they would refund the money. That's pretty funny because since I didn't need to sign for the package, I had no idea when the package was being dropped off, so I wasn't able to refuse it. Nonetheless, two packages were dropped off at my front door.
I called this morning to let the company what was going on and the Cust Serv person told me that it was MY FAULT there was a duplicate order and that I could send back the items for a refund (of course I would have to pay for the return shipping), but they wouldn't refund my second shipping charge. After I told him that not refunding my shipping (when it was their fault) is not good business, he hung up on me! Now I have duplicate parts and I am out extra money for shipping costs! That is completely UNACCEPTABLE!

Tried to purchase some parts from this site and the transaction went smoothly but as several days passed, I still didn't get updates on tracking information once more than a week passed, I called and they then told me that the order was canceled because they didn't have 1 part out of the several I purchase in stock. The gentlemen I talked to assured me over the phone that he would make sure my re-order will go without a hitch after I picked a different brand on the "out of stock" part.

Well, that second-order got put on and after another week that passed, I still didn't have parts so I tried to track the order thru the website and only then found out that that second order was canceled with no other explanation as to why.

My only assumption based on my previous experience is that they didn't have something in stock.

Never received any update e-mails or calls about it.

All this has left me with is a car that could have been repaired almost 3 weeks ago, A very sour impression of PartGeeks.com for lack of communication in regards to the reason for the cancelation of my second order.

Needless to say, I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ABSOLUTELY ANYONE

Wrong part
August 3, 2019

I placed an order from Parts Geek & was sent the wrong part. They will not reimburse shipping or shipping to return the item that was wrong, After reading the many complaints, this is the norm for this company and apparently, THIS is how they are making their money... by ripping off honest customers who put their faith in a company to send correct parts or at best to make the effort to correct THEIR ERRORS. In the end, it is cheaper for me to keep the wrong part than to return it... which is their SCAM. Do not purchase from this company, you will regret it.

These guys are clowns, I ordered two parts, I got one part right, and one part I didn't order, the guy who selected the part, was either high, drunk, or just plain stupid, I say this, because, I ordered 2 volkswagon rabbit pickup shift rod seals, part #*******9494 they sent me oil pump seals part #2076-******* cost was 3.98 +1.31+10.00 shipping now they want me to ship it back to them at a cost of 11.00 shipping and insurance to protect their 3.98 dollar investment I will just throw the parts away and save money.

I purchased a front bumper cover online and waited 2 weeks for it to arrive via over-sized freight. Prior to this, the company sent a few follow-up e-mails. One warned to check the condition of the merchandise. Nothing directed or forewarned me about their protocol regarding mistakes their warehouses make when pulling and shipping parts. The bumper did not remotely match the model or style I purchased so I contacted the company to seek redress. That's when I discovered that the company expected me to re-ship the item at my expense. I took it to UPS and the shipping cost far-exceeded the original purchase price ($332+). I feel scammed. Afterwards I contacted the company via e-mail and by phone and they were not willing to fairly and sensibly resolve the issue. I researched them thru the BBB and discovered a host of similar complaint lodged by consumers. Most companies provide a shipping label when they make mistakes as a matter of proper business practice. I feel that this problem should be pursued via class-action injunctive relief to protect the American consumer from losing hard-earned money and alert them to these hidden disclaimers. Had I immediately seen one during the check-out process I would've been reluctant to gamble with my money and spent it elsewhere. Incidentally, they claim to cover the cost of shipping returned items if orders are made thru their customer service representatives when the company makes these kinds of mistakes... not sure why someone choosing to expeditiously order parts online are discriminated against or treated any differently. It adds insult to injury which contravenes customer retention goals."

I purchased two fenders and a body part. One fender arrived damaged with a 3" wide dent and an 8' long crease. I paid for insurance when I made the purchase. They were slow to respond, I had to write multiple emails and called twice. I was told they would return my calls but they never did. They said their "Warehouse" offered $50 to pay for repairing the dents, which is not enough, not to mention why is a warehouse making this decision. They would never respond to why when I purchased insurance they were not using insurance to pay for a replacement fender. I will pursue the legality of charging for insurance and not providing insurance coverage. Stay away from these guys.

I ordered a power steering pump and it was not delivered to the address on the order form. In fact, it was not delivered at all. The address/label was incomplete and it was returned to their warehouse in Miami. I received no notification. I followed up and was told that I had to wait 10-14 days for a refund. ZERO accountability. Once the part had been returned, I should have been notified and THEY should have processed the return. Will never do business with them again.

Ordered a fuel pump for my 450SL and once I received the package I noticed there were missing some fittings, nuts and other accessories which were pictured in the website so I returned them immediately only to have the return refused with the excuse of: MISSING WASHER & USED ITEM! $#*!ing untrustworthy people, I'm impressed how they can lie so clinically just to keep the money.

Don't blink. Ordered a new headlight assembly for my car yesterday because I had a deer bounce off of my light. (Deer got up and ran away thank God) My car inspection is due no later than three more days from then and was pressed for time to get it fixed. They told me 3 to 7 business days. Not even 24 hours later and it arrived on my doorstep From North Carolina to upstate New York. Wow. Exceptionally well packed for such cheap shipping cost. I did a double take at the tracking information saying it was delivered. Unbelievable service. Super friendly and polite. The price? I paid a whopping $138 for my headlight assembly. All the local chain stores were trying to charge me $410 for the exact same part. I cannot say enough good about parts geek. Once again they have exceeded my expectations. I will continue to reach out to them when I am in need of parts.

I ordered parts from my home in Costa Rica to be sent to my US mailing address. Because I only visit the US occasionally, it was several months until I actually saw them. They had sent incorrect parts. Because it was longer than 30 days since my purchase, they refused to even EXCHANGE them for correct ones. Numerous back and Forths with "customer service" yielded only robotic sounding responses, and no consideration whatsoever. These parts cost over $100. How do you treat people (customers, no less) this way? Needless to say, I'll buy the ones I need from somewhere else, as I suggest you do.

I ordered two sets of brake pads from Parts Geek. I only got 3 pads is the shipment in a shipping bag. The bag was torn and was wrapped with clear shipping tape.

But there were no boxes in the bag that would have held the pads. It dawned on me that the individual pads "could" have slipped through the hole, but the boxes wouldn't have fit through the taped over hole.

It was obvious that Parts Geek just threw a few loose brake pads in a ripped bag, wrapped it in tape and shipped it.

I tried calling them 8-10 times without anyone picking up the phone. Then sent emails. They never responded.

I feel bad for all the other people that use them without checking them out first - just like me.

They run a scam. They don't sell auto parts.
