PartsGeek Reviews Summary

The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, primarily due to significant issues with order accuracy and return processes. Many reviews highlight frustrations over receiving incorrect parts and the subsequent difficulty in obtaining refunds, with customers often bearing return shipping costs for errors not of their making. Additionally, the customer service experience is frequently described as inadequate, characterized by long wait times and unhelpful responses. While some customers noted prompt delivery of the correct items, the overall sentiment reflects a lack of reliability and support, leading to a strong recommendation to seek alternative suppliers.

Incorrect part
March 12, 2024

They Parts Geeks sent disks that are a 1/2 inch too small. This caused the pads to scream when braking. They refused to take the parts back because I put them on the car, ignoring the fact that they sent the wrong part and that the issue was not apparent until they were on the car. After, their rejection to return the parts there was no recourse to argue. I have never had a problem with them in the past but I have never had a problem before. This is a bad policy and very miss leading.

I have a 2013 Ford focus SE that I unfortunately bought crappies front suspensions with through a known website ask them for a refund they would not give it which was a bad experience however I decided to take a chance in order with parts geek the right passenger suspension drove through the snow and through the hell and was quiet as a church mouse so I ordered the driver side now to replace the crappy ones I had and the car is running like a dream instead of a nightmare their customer service people are very very friendly and accurate and if I was to say one thing to potential customers do not go anywhere else how can you lose they offer you a money back guarantee plus a one year's manufacturer's warranty it's a win-win situation for all

I live in California and I need a Carb Legal Catalytic Converter. To make sure I purchased the right part I chatted on the website with an agent(Lucas Harper) and explained to him the california emissions regualtions before purchasing a Catalytic converter. He then sent me a link of a CAT they had, assuring me it was CA legal and I purchashed it. Well it wasn't and I failed the emissions test because of the CAT. I then got in contact with partsgeek customer service and the representative told me they had sent me the wrong part and that his manager would contact me through email. I got an email and it was just the return instructions of the part, it stated it need to go back in the original box (which I threw away) at this point I chatted with a different agent(Ethan Smith) and explained to him that I did not have the original box and what would my other option be in order for me to return the part (still not fixing the problem of the wrong part sent to me) all this agent said was "we need the original box." Now Im $661 less due to not having the Original box in where the wrong part was sent to me.

The part that I received is not the part displayed in the image. It is the completely wrong part that they shipped. It also arrived broken in 2 places, but I didnt even really care about that since again, it was not the part that I was supposed to be shipped. When I attempted to return the incorrect AND broken part they said that I could not return it because I should have "immediately told the driver that my part was broken and not accepted it". Which I can't imagine is anything but a joke. Who stands outside waiting for deliveries all day, and then, when the box is placed in their hand tells the driver, "just hang out for like 5 minutes while I open 3 packages and inspect everything for damage". Very annoyed. Dont buy here

We ordered a pitman arm and idler arm. We accidently ordered two, we sent one back. We have been waiting on a refund for almost a month. I ran the tracking number and it says held at post office "per customer request". It has been sitting at the post office since Feb 3rd and it is now Feb 25th. Return window closes March 13, so I think they are trying to get the return to window to run out. I have contacted both Parts Geeks (they act like they dont understand and that I need to fix it). I have also contacted the USPS and am now hoping they can help. Do not purchase from this company!

Bad business
February 24, 2024

I ordered a catalytic convert for my car. It was shipped to me unboxed or wrapped. Did not fit my car. When I returned the item they denied my refund saying it was installed or not same condition when it was shipped. It wasn't in same condition because they shipped it without it being in a box or wrapped safely. Then they refused to send me back the catalytic converter. I will never shop with this company again.

Missing parts and damaged
February 21, 2024

We placed an order for 5 items from parts geek. 1 of the packages was missing 7 of the 8 bolts. The other was a head gasket that when it arrived was bent and the package ripped. After waiting over 7 days for the items 2 of the packages are completely useless. I called parts geek customer service which is apparently overseas and they have to send the warehouse a message which takes another 24 to 28 hours. No communication with the warehouse or options given to the customer. Horrible customer service

I bought brakes and pads for my Volvo, based on year and model. The parts did not fit & the cost of sending them back was prohibitive. Buy auto parts from Amazon; you can return them for free, or buy them from local auto stores, so you can return them.

Constant mistakes
February 6, 2024

Assured it was the right part. WRONG! Days of trying to get the company to return my call. No joy! Then emailed, told to return the part for a refund $500. Then another email saying to destroy it and send pics for a refund. I tried to call for days with no response. Finally I took the time and money to make the part work. Saving the company hundreds of dollars. Requested a refund or the $70 I spent to make the bumper work. Company refused. I won't be doing any further business with a company that uses petty policies to cover their A$$ for mistakes and costing their customers weeks of wasted time and money. This is not the first time I was assured that a part would fit and it didn't, but it will be the last. Buy from this company at your own risk.
