I read their return policy and was fine with it. Until they took absolute advantage of it. They're not even willing to just be decent humans. Their PD measurements were off the first time. They agreed to remake them if I got measured locally. The second time was a little better, but I still felt cross eyed. I don't know what the problem was, and I didn't care. I just wanted to be able to see. Trying to find someone to measure, going to the UPS store, and emailing back and forth kind of takes away the convenience this service is supposed to offer. They have no sense of "the right thing to do."

Major delays, incorrectly done.

I ordered my glasses in June with a blue xtractive transitions lense. A month later, I still hadn't received them. Then I had someone from customer service find out what was going on at the lab because the site hadn't updated the status. A couple of weeks later, I got the glasses and the tint was brownish amber. I sent them back and weeks later I was notified they had broken the frame I had purchased from them and it was discontinued. They said I could send them a link and they could buy a frame I wanted. It has been three months since I first ordered and they are waiting on an outside frame and I have no idea when I will receive them. I need them now. I already paid and cannot just buy another pair. Although they are trying to solve it, they don't seem to have any sense of urgency or willingness to expedite the process. In the past I had a good result with them on replacement lenses, but apparently things have changed post COVID. They claim to check orders before sending them out but mine weren't close to blue and the order form said blue lenses.

Not a great experience

The glasses were delayed. The online status said that the glasses would be ready in an estimated 9 days or so for more than a month. Customer service was very unhelpful (they sent messages to the lab to figure out what was causing the delay, said they would get back to me, but never did, twice). The lenses haven't been properly fitted into the frames, so about 2 months into wearing them, they are already rattling.

Never again!

Poor customer service although reps will speak with customer.
Too long to get products.
Too easy for mistakes with no credit or rebates for lost/invested time.
Incorrect real- time progress.
Inflexible system and poor communication.
Spent just as much or more for photo sensitive lenses that don't seem to work.
Not a recommended vendor.

Great experience the first time. 2nd time not so much. Lenses have circles on them and does not have the anti-fog film which I paid for. My first pair do not fog up nor do they have the circles. I sent the glasses back in to be corrected and they were re-delivered back with same lenses with the circles still and they still fog up. The circles are not visible until they get a little fogged but then it's clearly visible.

3 times was not the charm

Sent in frames from Slyk with my prescription for sunglasses. They came back completely clear. Sent them back- same order for purple mirror finish. Came back very slightly purple, but not sunglasses at all. Sent back again, came back exactly the same. So my new frames still have no lenses in them. Asked if I could just switch to a grey lens, no- they would have to charge me for another whole order. Seriously? In the end, I got my frames back and a refund. But no sunglasses.

Oh boy, do not use

Ok, wow. My experience with Lensabl sure happened. Initially, the process was smooth, they got my old frames, for lens replacement, in the very beginning of May. I was expecting a few weeks max, even though the website said "5 days remaining". I started checking in after 4 weeks, then checked in weekly to try and find out that in the world was going on. Always the same customer service rep, always the same lab manager, they never seemed to remember me from the previous week. Really bizarre situation. The glasses finally shipped in July. Less than two months later, one lens started falling out. I think this company is secretly two people and they're not great at what they're doing. I paid $250 for this, using my own old frames, there's no universe where this was worth it. Save your money.

Very easy

Very simple process. Saved lots of money over brick & mortar stores. You know- I don't want 2-pairs of glasses, or some dollar store frames. I just want the lenses replaced in MY frames. Lesabl solved that. Great job. The lenses worked great. Suggestion- give the frames a 'detail' while you got them. Getting brand new lenses is slightly dirty frames... not good. Tarnishes the gold medal experience. Overall, really good though.

Very Bad Experience

I'm a 70 year old retiree that loves my Bose audio sunglasses, so when I saw the offer to have Lensabl replace the plain glass lenses with my RX, I was delighted. I sent them a copy of the RX from my eye doctor and, after over a month, I received bifocals that are so strong, I couldn't see out of the bottom section, let along read with them. They claim they produced what was ordered; however, I'm not an optician and still don't understand under what scenario their professionals think I would be able to focus looking through these glasses. They offered me a 25% discount if I wanted to reorder. Laughable.

The website allowed me to order a glass material that the lab was unable to provide. The Lensabl staff never reached out to me to inform me of the delay. After a month, I reached out and tried to resolve. They forgot about me for another month and then after constant reminders, they finally sent me the wrong prescription after 4 months of waiting and contacting support. They used an old prescription from 2018 and disregarded the new prescription that was on my account along with a photo verification I emailed to their customer support. The customer support agent assigned to my case via email would rarely confirm or answer any questions or concerns about my prescription and thus I received the wrong order due to their negligence. I would highly recommend anyone avoid using Lensabl as a service as this is not the first complication I've had with ordering from them.

New Life to Old Frames

I've had the same glasses frames for about 7 years now, and I have been hoping to find transitions lenses to fit them for awhile. Fortunately I discovered Lensabl! I shipped my favorite glasses off and then a few weeks later, my updated ones arrived. I am so happy with them and quite pleased that I don't have to switch between my glasses and sunglasses quite as frequently now.

Disappointed and angry

I've ordered both bifocals and progressives from Lensabl, each time sending in my own frames. My first experience was with the bifocals, receiving them with the reader portion way too high. However they corrected the issue quickly and I was quite satisfied.
My second experience however was absolutely awful. I sent in a high end frame (Anne Et Valentin) along with all my measurements.

After at least four weeks with no update from them, I emailed asking about status. They then informed me that my frame broke during placement of the new lenses, and did tell me they'd pay for a replacement and asked me to send a link. I told them the brand and price and that my frame had been discontinued.
After their okay I went to the eyewear shop that carries the brand and selected a new pair, at which point had my measurements taken and the lenses marked for PD (pupillary distance.)
I emailed Lensabl again, telling them the name of the shop and of the manager, who was holding them until Lensabl contacted them.

After over another month, Lensabl finally sent me an email to confirm they'd ordered my frame and that it was on 6-8 week backorder, from a discount supplier. I finally CALLED, letting them know I had chosen the frame and had it marked specifically for me, and that it was available IMMEDIATELY. I should've called at the beginning of this whole ordeal. After another month I emailed asking for an update, and they replied that my frame was on the way.
The prescription was INCORRECT, after FOUR MONTHS with the situation in their hands.
I chose to go ahead and get them filled at my own optical shop. I realize I should've had them cover it since they'd filled it incorrectly, but at this point was fed up and decided not to pursue it any further.
I suggest that no one order from them except MAYBE for a single vision lens.
