Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

I've had the same glasses frames for about 7 years now, and I have been hoping to find transitions lenses to fit them for awhile. Fortunately I discovered Lensabl! I shipped my favorite glasses off and then a few weeks later, my updated ones arrived. I am so happy with them and quite pleased that I don't have to switch between my glasses and sunglasses quite as frequently now.
I've ordered both bifocals and progressives from Lensabl, each time sending in my own frames. My first experience was with the bifocals, receiving them with the reader portion way too high. However they corrected the issue quickly and I was quite satisfied.
My second experience however was absolutely awful. I sent in a high end frame (Anne Et Valentin) along with all my measurements.
After at least four weeks with no update from them, I emailed asking about status. They then informed me that my frame broke during placement of the new lenses, and did tell me they'd pay for a replacement and asked me to send a link. I told them the brand and price and that my frame had been discontinued.
After their okay I went to the eyewear shop that carries the brand and selected a new pair, at which point had my measurements taken and the lenses marked for PD (pupillary distance.)
I emailed Lensabl again, telling them the name of the shop and of the manager, who was holding them until Lensabl contacted them.
After over another month, Lensabl finally sent me an email to confirm they'd ordered my frame and that it was on 6-8 week backorder, from a discount supplier. I finally CALLED, letting them know I had chosen the frame and had it marked specifically for me, and that it was available IMMEDIATELY. I should've called at the beginning of this whole ordeal. After another month I emailed asking for an update, and they replied that my frame was on the way.
The prescription was INCORRECT, after FOUR MONTHS with the situation in their hands.
I chose to go ahead and get them filled at my own optical shop. I realize I should've had them cover it since they'd filled it incorrectly, but at this point was fed up and decided not to pursue it any further.
I suggest that no one order from them except MAYBE for a single vision lens.
My progressive lenses weren't right the first time, but perfect after I sent them back and had you try again. Very happy with these.
After reading reviews of different providers on the internet, I selected Lensable for convenience and value. The website advertises a 2 week turnaround. My order took a month, after multiple customer service emails and calls. The lenses I ordered are poorly made, and as a result I am unable to use the glasses. This was a complete waste of $213.41.
It was easy and painless to order replacement lenses from Lensable. I would (and already have) recommended them.
Miserable. Took over 2 months to get my glasses back and the lenses don't even properly in The frames.
My Razer glasses came in perfect, will use them again soon
Returned my glasses to be fixed after their first botched job. Came back the same way again. Sham of a service and shouldn't be in business. Will never trust them with my glasses again.
So pleased - I needed difficult lenses to be custom made for my favorite Oakley Arctic frames!
I now need lenses with prisms for both eyes, most labs wouldn't touch it - Lensabl did and did a wonderful job!
I'm a big fan of Lensabl now!
I was really disappointed with the condition of my frames when they were sent back. Frames and nose piece were comically bent.
My lenses came late as they were a gift and I had to keep calling about the order. When they got here, they did not fix the glasses. Now we have to try to find some place to cut them down to fit in the glasses. Most places have turned us down and suggested that we return them to the shop we bought them from. At close to 100 dollars, you would hope that they would have fit.
I was actually quite excited to be able to use your company as I have lost my vision benefits now that I am retired. In order to save costs, I have been reusing my frames so your company was a great solution. However, somehow I was charged $255 for an order that I did not put in and or complete as I was waiting to get the proper measurements to be able to mail my frames out. I put several inquiries into your company and never got any courtesy calls back. I was forced to put a fraudulent charge through with my credit card company. Eventually, the money was refunded, but not because of your company being forthcoming. Additionally, I did end up ordering a pair of lenses from you and I really can't see well out of them, but given my past experience, I'm hesitant to move forward with your company in hopes that you would make the right changes to my lenses as I cannot see well out of them at all. I've had my doctor check the lens and the refraction, and they seem to be accurate, but for some reason, I can't see out of them well, maybe it's the material that I chose for the lenses I don't know. But I am now back to my optician who has gotten me two pairs of lenses in my other older frames, and they seem to be working fine. So all in all, I am not pleased with this company, and I probably will not refer you to my ophthalmologist as they were hoping that they could send you some business.

I sent in 2 frames. The wrong lenses were sent in both. I'm in the middle of trying to get it resolved and it's been extremely difficult. I can't even get back the original lenses. Can't get a refund? So now I'm stuck. Won't even comp me anything for my troubles. I made one previous purchase before this one that was fine. But I will never buy from here again. After over a week of emails I finally got a return label that I can't print. I should have gotten that 1st day or a box sent like when I bought them in the first place. I'm so furious at this experience
Don't use them. They don't honor their return policy. They will blame you if they screw up the prescription.
My last few pairs of lensable lenses has scratched easily or were ruined by heat. So I ordered a new pair for some crazy reason that was extremely expensive. It was several months late. Your team didn't try to make it right and I was stuck with sub-par backup glasses (also lensabl) while you kept my 600-700 as a loan for months.
Lensbl seemed like a good option to save time, but ultimately I wasted $326. I sent in some wrap-around frames, everything seemed fine, but when I received them back, something was obviously wrong. I had an independent optician check them, and both lenses were well out-of-specifications. Basically, wrap-around sport frames are harder to do. Lensabl offers to try again (IMO likely to mess up again), or would give me a 30% discount towards a new set of glasses (only slightly better than there monthly discount of 20%, and still ~$200 net loss on my part). No thank you. I'm not willing to double-down on a company that doesn't maintain QA/QC standards, then balks at customer support.
I placed an order two weeks ago and was told the turnaround time would be 4-6 days. Apparently, my glasses did not pass the final inspection. I only found out after chatting with customer service on live chat. I never got an email or anything. Now they're telling me it's gonna be another 6+ business days. I should have gone with lensdirect.com this time around.
Took over 4 weeks to deliver the glasses and when I received the package, one the the lenses was not even out in properly inside the frame. Multiple emails and calls to support took forever to respond to and didn't solve issue.
My wife sent her sunglasses to Land Sabor for prescription lenses. After about a week they contacted her and said they broke the frames. They started over with new frames and broke the second pair. Then they said they would replace the sunglasses but we have yet to receive them even though they said they would send them and she would receive them in two business days. We would not recommend Lensable.
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
