Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. While many customers appreciate the transparency and communication throughout the process, there are notable frustrations related to the handling of returns and remakes. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

And by old frames I mean the one year old Ray Ban frames that I had wanted for 30+ years. Having finally been able to acquire the dream frames of my youth, I wasn't about to retire them after only a year in service. With Lensabl I was able to keep my frames. Turnaround was prompt and I'm seeing better than ever. Even my progressive bifocals was not an issue. The case is really cute as well.
I will never recommend lensabl to anyone. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with and definitely will be letting everyone know. Especially through reviews.
I bought frames which were marketed to work with this company's lenses and I was still requested to approve these frames, which made the whole exercise feel pointless. Not only did my order take months, one of my frames wasn't sent back to me which was another ordeal. I got mailed someone else's frames entirely and there was not thorough follow-up to return them to this other customer. My label to mail in my frames originally also didn't cover adequate postage and I paid overages in person. Furthermore my PD on both pairs feels slightly off and I can't wear either pair of my purchase. Overall I had a poor experience. Because of the above and because of my high prescription, I won't be using any online lens services again.
Frustrating experience.
They do not have in stock ordered lenses, their support team provides inconsistent information and their online app status does not match with the status reported bu their support team (when they contact the lab).
The whole process was smooth and easy. Took a little longer than I thought and cost a bit more, but I am very happy with my prescription sunglasses from Lensabl. Quality is great. Would order again!
I am very pleased with the service. Gotta admit I was nervous because this is my first try. My glasses that was sent back to me became waaaay much better than when I had it brand new. I'm very happy with the enhanced transitions that I requested for. It gave my old pair a much better character. Thank you so much. Hope you guys stick around. More coming your way in the future.
My second pair of custom lenses from Lensabl, previously I ordered a pair of transition prescription lenses be placed into my Oakley frames and was sent my frames back with sun glass prescription lenses two times! Since I was going over seas I decided to just take the sun glass lenses and was compensated by Lensabl.
Tried Lensabl again and received what I ordered (the fit and finish was very nice), the problem is even with the best care and all of the extra $$ "scratch resistant" coatings etc. polycarbonate shows up with scratches regardless, seems like a huge scam. Found another company that makes Coring transition (Photochromic Glass Lenses) lenses and those have been super durable (no scratches!) and the optics are very crisp and clear. They the glass lenses are slightly thicker and heaver but I feel like I am looking through a Nikon camera lens, very worth the extra weight.
*Lensabl – you should have these glass lenses as an option.
I received as a gift a pair of Razer Smart glasses. My intention are to use them mainly for all my video conference calls. But I need to use prescription glasses to work on my computer so I send my Razer glasses to Lesabl in order to add my prescription. I wne throught the whole process online. Sent my Razer glasses and it took 2 to 2.5 months before I got them back more than a month just for the shipoing back to me via USPS. The prescription was wrong. So I contacted the customer service and then took care of me very well and made sure that this time they got the right prescription and also made sure that the order was correct on the type of glasses I wanted. I requested that when they ship it back to make sure it will not take 1.5 months. Which they did and it took only 2 weeks. And I got them back and everything is working well now.
I was excited to try Lensabl, good marketing easy to use website. Sent in my sunglasses and was excited to get them back. I got them back in about 6 weeks and there was a clear halo around the lens near the frame. I reached out to customer care who asked for me to return them to be redone. I sent them back and now have been waiting over 2 months. I've checked in with customer care every few weeks but they haven't been able to help much. I tried calling the number listed on the site but that never got me to a live person. Beyond frustrated as I was hoping to have these glasses before summer was over. I would not recommend based on my experience.
This is my first time ordering from them. Sent my sunglasses to get new progressive lenses. A month after it was delivered I sent an email asking where my glasses were. They said my order "experienced rejections in the final inspection" and anticipated that it would take 5 - 6 business days to complete.
A week later, I get an email saying that their lab broke my sunglasses and they'd have to order a new pair. Two weeks later. I finally got my glasses.
No communication from Lensabl that they completed the order and sent out my glasses. I only realized I was getting them back because I received an email from UPS.
Customer service is not pro-active. You'll need to contact them for updates. It's been a really frustrating first experience with this company.
Completely terrible experience. A a partner for Bose it's embarrassing that they ruined my lenses and had to redo them 4 times! And they lost my original glasses, replaced them. I had to send them back again and they lost those too! They had to send me brand new ones both times. Glasses still aren't good and they won't refund. Don't use them. They have an F with BBB. If I had only known!
These are the glasses I have been looking for I could not find them anywhere and I have looked at other sites
First, the good. The lenses are perfect. They fit the frames; they are the correct prescription, and I wear them daily. My prescription is for progressive readers, nothing complex. However, when I sent my frames in, I was told they would be returned with lenses in an estimated six days. Lensabl received my frames on August 2. The website never updated, and I had to contact Lensabl weekly to find out where my glasses were when I didn't receive them in a week. I had to contact Lensabl repeatedly because it took WEEKS to get the glasses. I finally received my glasses on August 31. It took an entire month to make a set of lenses. I could have gone to the mall and gotten my lenses in an hour, no later than overnight.
While I'm pleased with the final product, I see no reason to use Lensabl again.
I've ordered replacement lenses with very good luck but my first framed purchase is a total failure. The frame front, where all the measurements apply, are fine but the temples are so wide they are unwearable. I asked for help and they suggested i go to a local optician. I can't very well do that when i didn't buy the glasses there. How rude.
No returns, even though it's the frame they screwed up, not the lenses. I'll never buy here again for new frames.
First the 800 number just leaves message and only return contact is email. Emails take 2 or more days at times. And the staff changes so i had to argue over my bill with multiple people, who all seem to careless. Finally got it sorted out and than took too long to get glasses. Also, after asking what is going on got email finally saying at the lab out soon. But never got an email saying "hey glasses on the way". You obviously dont care about customer care. Need 2 more glasses done for wife but not going to use you agian. Fool me once...
Only took 4 tires to complete the order. Lol
Pleasure to work with Lensabi team. Result was a well fitting, beautiful set of glasses. Without Lensabi, I would have had to dispose of glasses that I now wear proudly—and daily!
A great experience, from a pleasant conversation with an expert, to the well-crafted glasses I received. Price was fair, service was great, delivery was prompt as promised
They took twice as long as quoted, the lower left lens has a 1/4" scratch, which they're of course blaming on me, and stole my Prada case, sent my glasses back in a cheap plastic case. They later claimed that their instructions are not to send anything other than the glasses themselves. And once the lenses have been delivered, no customer service, won't answer or return calls or emails.
I ended up paying out of pocket to have the damaged lens replaced, and the new lens they sent me is smaller than the old one and doesn't fit snugly in the frame. I believe that the test frames they are using must be a smaller size than the ones i own, but when i offered to send in my frames so they could confirm for themselves, their response was that the lens has been made correctly and that i must not be installing it correctly. They then "offered" to install the lens "correctly" for me, for an additional fee of course. It also takes them at least a week to respond to emails, and as such this back-and-forth has been going on for a month. I am completely done with this company and will be taking my business elsewhere.
I purchased a pair of $200 lenses less than a year ago, and i made sure to pay extra for a 12 month extended warranty just in case the lenses got scratched or damaged. Recently the lenses did end up getting scratched, but the company has refused to replace them as the warranty only covers "scratches made during normal use" and does *not* cover damage caused by impacts, abrasions, or improper care (i. E. the only things that could possibly cause damage to lenses). Basically, unless the scratches magically appeared out of nowhere for no discernible reason whatsoever, the extended warranty will not cover the damage. Had i known that the warranty specifically excluded every possible cause of lens damage, i obviously would not have purchased it to begin with and would have likely bought the lenses from a different company altogether.
Didn't get glasses that can be seen out of and they tried 3-4 times before they even sent to me well over a month and a half. Asked for refund said don't give refunds. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! WASTE OF MONEY
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
