I sent off my treasured Ray-Ban frames for new lenses. The process was simple and ingenious using a credit card as a measure for PD. My completed glasses arrived yesterday and they are perfect. The progressive lenses have no distortion and my vision is perfect at all distances.
I've held on to my favorite frames for y e a r s before discovering Lensable! My first pair of new lenses was like reuniting with an old friend. My second pair, tinted sunglasses, are perfect and I am happily await the (free) delivery of pairs three, four and, yup, five to arrive. Such a super easy process, quick turnaround! My only regret was not doing it sooner
I couldn't be happier with the whole process. My shipping box came quickly and with everything needed to ship my glasses. After they arrived it only took 3-4 days for my lenses to be made. The fit and finish looks factory. I can't wait to send more frames to Lensabl.
Here are my issues:
- First I was told that my prescription would not fit in these glasses (even though their website said it would). We went back and forth and finally they agreed they would.
- Then, it took them many extra days and back and forth with the lab before they were finally shipped (I notified them that I wanted them for a vacation I was taking, and I received the glasses after my return).
- I made an error on my prescription, and had to order a new lens for the right eye. The charge for the one lens was more than 1/3 the cost of the entire set. They would not work with me on the price.
- They did not start working on the new lens until they received my frames. These are pop out lenses, so there should not have been any reason they could not have been working in advance of receiving the frames.
- From the day they received my frames until I received my glasses back was 3 1/2 weeks. I had advised one of their Customer Service people that I was taking another vacation, and I wanted them for that trip. Nope. Did not get them until I got back.
All of these issues, plus the fact that they do not have a telephone number to reach a live body who can help is why I will never use Lensabl ever agin. I would rather pay a premium for a reputable company that does not lurk on the internet hiding form their customers. It should NEVER take 2 1/2 months to get a set of glasses.
I am not completely satisfy with the end product, but it is acceptable. The shape of the lenses were slightly off especially around the curves. It took twice as long since the first set of lenses did not pass QA inspection and a new set was on order. This was much appreciated and felt the company took pride with their product. When I received my sunglasses, I wasn't exactly wowed by it and like I said it was acceptable and worthy of 3.5 stars.
Having said that, they did not return my original Oakley lenses. They did include the 1st set of the prescription lenses that did not pass QA inspection. When I inquire about my original lenses via email, their Lab Manager sent me their waiver that the customer agreed to. "By sending us your frames with existing lenses in them, you acknowledge that Lensabl is not liable for any damage done to the existing lenses. There are instances where your original lenses may break during the replacement process, and by sending us your frames with existing lenses, you acknowledge the risk that your lenses may get damaged and may not be returned to you."
Anyone who owned Oakley sunglasses know how easy it is to replace the lenses. The lenses are pretty robust and virtually unbreakable. I would say that is one of Oakley's best features. I have yet to break a single lens after 10+ years of ownership while swapping between lenses in excess of 20-30 times.
Therefore I downgraded the rating from 3.5 to 1 star.
Anyway, I will be taking my business to their competitors and there are plenty of them out there.
After a slow start with the process due to a computer glitch on my end, I received my glasses yesterday. I am pleased with the new lenses and the process, and have a second pair I will be ordering shortly. The only thing keeping me from awarding the fifth star is that the frames were bent upon return when they were fine when packaged and sent. I know this is a small thing, and will have them adjusted at my local optical shop. Fix this and you get 5 stars.
I ordered glasses in May. The frames I had them made for cracked so I ordered replaement frames. The second frames cracked in the exact same spot, so I now know it is the lenses from lensabl that were not the correct size/shape and caused 2 pair of glasses to crack.
Now I am on my 3rd pair of glasses to have lenses made. I just received them and they are the WRONG prescription lenses and seem to be bifocals (which is not what I wear).
I've been trying to get these glasses for my job since MAY and I still do not have functioning lenses to wear in my safety glasses for work.
My frames I sent are very old they did an outstanding job on them! Would definitely recommend buying from them!

This company is a joke. They hold onto your order for months, provide no explanation just that it is delayed. They wiped my order history clean, they copy and paste automated responses via email if you reach out to customer service. I paid $35 extra on top of the additional $10 I paid for the original order, per the request of the customer service representative that claimed that's how much it costed to correct them. I paid, they took my money and damaged my frames and put in the wrong lenses and mailed them back to me. Now I can't even get ahold of customer service. AVOID THIS COMPANY! They only have a 2.8 star rating on the Better Business Bureau and they're not an accredited business.
They did a great job in replacing my prescription sunglass lenses.

I had an amazing experience exercising with my Bose Shades. I didn't have to have anything hanging out my ear to listen to music and talk on my cell. They are lightweight and with the addition of the Lensabl prescription lens everything is clear :). It took awhile (4/5/21-8/12/21) for lens, but I am glad I waited.
Lensabl' customer service gang is wonderful, very responsive. And their optometry services are great, very speedy and reasonably priced.
Weeks of delay and could not make correct lenses. Rude customer staff when asking about delays. Will not refund my money after proving lenses incorrect. Do not use Lensabl! Rude customer service person stated Lensabl not responsible at all for existing lenses and that Lensabl probably would damage and not return. Do not use Lensabl! Cannot produce lab report that lenses were to match existing - because they could not make correctly!. No refunds even if Lensabl messes up and cannot make! Do not use Lensabl!
Twice I've placed a clear order and twice it has been completely wrong! Many excuses and after two months no satisfaction. The responses to my inquiries are positive and engender hope that the order is being corrected; but the end result that I received yesterday is proof of a complete disconnect from reality. Very frustrating and inexcusable.
Waiting nearly 6 months for frames that got lost in production in multiple occasions. Hot so frustrated with the delays that I tried to cancel my order -‘d they would not allow me a refund. Purchased these for working in healthcare, and was very disappointed to have shelled out the cash for something that I ended up replacing with a faster option.

Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
