Absolutely negative and lost 4962 euro

Where oh where do I start. I read both the positive and negative comments and I was shocked by the negativity. At the beginning of my booking this was not necessary. At least I thought. I had to contact lastminute.com a number of times before I got my booking (flight plus hotel) confirmed. Once confirmed (booked July 1, confirmed July 4) I was quite pleased and waited until July 13 to leave. And man oh man what a chaos that was at Schiphol. We flew with Corendon and had a MINIMUM delay of 27 hours. We were not compensated with food, only a hotel, which was not very convenient because you only had 4 hours of sleep to wake up with a little hope left. And then again to see that the flight was delayed again. Finally decided after having experienced a delay of 4 times and being completely tired (oh and don't forget the wonderful sleeping on the floor of Schiphol airport with the 4 of us, because no one was there the first day to compensate us with a hotel) and 2 full days subtracted from our 7 days stay in the hotel, to cancel the trip. Now lastminute.com only wants to reimburse 485 euros of 4962 euros. Can you imagine how much we liked their reaction? For this reason, 2 attorneys will contact lastminute.com and corendon. I assume the money will not be refunded. Oh and for others who think they have a chance of getting compensation due to the extreme flight delay. It will take 1-6 years and not 6-8 weeks before you hear something because there is a staff shortage at Corendon, and family members that we know who work at Corendon had us informed that Corendon will file for bankruptcy. In short, read this the way you want, assess the negative reactions and positive reactions and especially take them into account when booking via Booking.com, which will refer you to lastminute.com. Should lastminute.com see this review, my reservation number is *******006 and I would like to see 4096 euros excluding delay costs compensation. Otherwise we will see you soon at court :)!

Return flight SA to UK had to be changed on short notice we selected the option to change flights and paid the fees. We receive a response 4 days after trying to change our return flight. Their customer service is pathetic They do not respond to e-mails, do not try and call you are wasting your time, and speaking to an agent is a scam. Avoid stay away

After reading some negative reviews I was a bit sceptical, but my trip was great not one issue everything from being checked in online and receiving our boarding passes to our private taxi and hotel everything was perfect. I will definitely use last minute again.

Ryanair and Lastminute are in dispute and if you book with Lastminute you need to go through very fiddly verification process that is very time consuming and takes two people to complete. We ended up after getting an email from Lastminute instructing us to go to the airport spending £55 each to checkin. Lastminute said it wasnt there issue and very rude customer service man responded who was very arrogant. They have refused the claim - I think someoine needs to start a lawsuit against Lastninute.com as they continue to sell the flights without warning customers first. Book direct with Ryanair - not through these cowboys!

I booked a holiday on Lastminute.com on 02.06.2023. When I completed the booking after checking everything, the system reverted my surname to my other half's surname. I noted this immediately and called lastminute customer services to suggest there has been an error by the system whilst booking. The gentleman asked me to send a copy of my passport via email and suggested maybe the airline will accept a change request.

On 09.06, after following up several times and making calls to the airline(Qatar, who suggested its the agents responsibility to get this changed) came back saying they are unable to confirm change on the request.

On 10.06.23 a lady suggested to me that I was better off cancelling and rebooking as they will charge me the admin fee for cancellation and refund me the rest of my deposit. So I waited patiently for 14days as suggested that the refund will take place. In the meantime I checked and spoke to the online agents regularly who suggested my refund was being processed.

I went on chat to an agent today 27.06.2023 and to my horror he wrote:

'sorry we cant refund you as we have taken the admin fee(collected after I paid a deposit) and my deposit as a penalty for cancelling voluntarily!'

So I asked the agent if money grew on trees and if £550 was a small amount? Shockingly his response was 'yes'!

Funny thing is, I wasn't looking to cancel, I only wanted a name change and go to my holiday. But this is how I got treated unfairly by the agent and the airline and all they could say was refer to our terms and conditions, not even a sorry!

They don't give you options, just tricky options so when you click there's no turning back.

I wanted to cancel a flight within 48hrs from 600€ they told me on chat they could refund me 160€ in ticket voucher.

Scam.

Not worthy guys. Don't you dare be like me.

Whatever you do, dont use Lastminute.com to book a holiday! I booked for my wife and I to attend my sister in law's wedding in Mauritius in April 2020. The flights were cancelled because of Covid and I requested a refund thinking it would be fairly straight forward.
In spite of the fact that I had no direct contact with any airline, they refused to let me have any money back until they received a refund from the airline - claiming my contract was with the airline not with them.Making contact with their Customer Service department was a nightmare and, in the end, I sent a long series of emails to the CEO who claimed my case was being dealt with as swiftly as possible.
Thus I, the customer, was expected to be out of pocket while they, the travel company were sitting pretty despite the vast difference in funds available to them. Finally I received a refund (with no added compensation!) 3 years and 2 months after the cancellation of the flights.

Dishonest business. Simply recommend avoiding, and more reputable booking websites. Booked a flight with the ability for cancellation and get a voucher for booking a new flight. Once canceled I got the voucher as promised, but I couldn't use the new voucher code, so I booked a new flight without the voucher and lost the money. Their customer service wasn't willing to give me back the money for the voucher.

I buy two tickets to Berlin. The Wizzair change the flight, they send and e-mail to lastminute and they send an e-mail to me to accept the change. I accept the change. Then they send an e-mail to they can't do the check-in for me, i have to do myself online. I tryed but the wizzair's website say I can't do the check in on line for this flight. I have to do the check-in at the airport and I have to pay for it, because they (lastminute.com) won't accept the change! And that's the reason why I can't do the check in online because they don't accept the change! And when I want a refund from they they refusing it. I do not reccomend to use this site.

ZERO STARS.
DISGUSTING COMPANY. They ruined my ENTIRE holiday from the beginning. I was leaving for the airport and they STILL could not tell me if I was allowed an extra bagage or not. I had to cancel my request for an extra lugage and leave without it. Customer service was DISGUSTING too with terrible staff, 100% incompetent and every single agent I spoke to through their chat was UNHELPFUL. Disgusting is the only word I can use. I will tell EVERYONE that I know (work, family, friends, more reviews) about this, to make sure people don't make the same mistake as me booking through them. Shut down your company because you clearly do not know how to run it! PUKE.

I gave this company one star because I cannot give them none.
For starters, they are type of company that makes it hell, for customers with a problem, to communicate with them. They have all kinds of devices, like sending you emails telling you that the email you wrote to is unmonitored; you cannot contact them by phone; the chat bot refuses to refer you to the management for complaints.
At present, I am stuck in Mexico as Lastminute rescinded on the flexible tickets I purchased which allowed me to change the date of my flight. Every time I debunk one lie they give me, they make up another one. They obviously use the technique of 'wearing out the complainer until he gives up'.
But I am not giving up. I am taking the matter to court when I manage to return to the UK. It is going to cost me a lot to buy single tickets, let alone the anxiety they are causing me.

Having been advised that our flight booked via lastminute.com had been moved from Nov 27 to the 28th I took up my option to cancel and, have rebooked alternative flights. In spite of lastminute.com taking our money, I have been told that we will not be refunded until the airline has refunded them which could take up to 2 months! Surely it is their responsibility to refund their customers and, deal with the airline to obtain money they are due. Will book directly in future

DO NOT USE FOR OVERSEAS HOLIDAYS!
It may look cheaper but they fail to mention hidden very high costs. Our booking was a mess from the very beginning.
We booked a holiday to new york. Firstly they book you the cheapest lowest grade flights possible even though when you book it says economy class and you can't change this - its not economy! We flew virgin/delta and in both cases we were unknowingly booked into economy light flights - this means, even though last minute say you can book luggage once you complete your booking you can't, you have to pay on the day at the airport and its an extra £50 per bag going out and $81 on the way back for hold luggage and you board absolutely last so if you have cabin bags you fight to find locker space. Nowhere on there website does it say you get anything other than standard economy. Be warned, the flights they book you are ZERO frills, everything is extra, you can't even pre book meals or choose your seats. It is impossible to speak to an agent, its all chat bots and emails and they just keep saying that it's in thier T&Cs (which you can not read until after you've booked!) On the one occasion they did call us to discuss our issues the agent hung up on us.
Last Minute also advise us on booking as to what you need to pay at the hotel when you check out, this is a USA thing regarding resort fees and local taxes. They told us it would be just over £200 in total - it was nearly $700! Almost 3 times what we were told. All in all we paid over £600 more over the advertised cost of the holiday for luggage and hotel fees. Last minute once again wash thier hands saying it's an estimate (it does not say that on the website) and that they have no control over local taxes and can not be expected to give accurate amounts! Luckily we were able to afford this but it was a serious shock and many people could get seriously stuck with such a huge unexpected bill. Bad service, poor communication and staff that don't care. For short uk trips you can save but for overseas, book direct and save yourself the stress. Awful Awful experience. Yes it was overall still cheaper but it wasn't worth the booking anxiety (our holiday was still amazing though).

I booked and entered a valid discount voucher code for £140...the system did not take this amount off the total bill and instead over-charged my credit card. Immediately rang LastMinute.com to rectify...Ahmed in Customer Servcies basically said it was tough luck and nothing could be done but that I could try it on another booking - unbelievably bad customer service, especially when I've spent nearly £3k on three booking with LM.com in last few months alone...will not be booking with them again and recommend others don't either! PS they also try and hide behind lastminute.co.uk being different from lastminute.com despite them being the same group and bookings made under lastminute.co.uk etc are visible and updateable from lastminute.com - unbelievably bad!
