I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Last Minute travel agency. I booked a travel package with them and, unfortunately, forgot to use my discount voucher during the initial payment. When I reached out to their customer service for assistance, I was initially assured that they could extend the voucher as it hadn't yet expired.
However, my hopes were dashed when I contacted them again closer to the expiration date, only to be told that the voucher was not extendable, and the previous advisor had made a mistake. This inconsistency in information and their failure to honor their commitment left me frustrated and disheartened.
It's disheartening to see a company that I initially thought was reputable resort to false promises and excuses just to retain my money. This experience has shattered my trust in Last Minute completely, and I urge others to exercise caution when considering their services.
In the world of travel, reliability and honesty are paramount. Unfortunately, Last Minute travel agency fell short on both fronts in my case.
I booked two inland flights in 1 holiday. The first one I could add hold luggage, which I did. The second one they told me I had to book and I could add luggage after.
I got my boarding pass for the first flight. On the lastminute site, it says luggage is included, on the boarding pass it's not. And the airline I'm flying with can only add luggage when at the airport 3 hours before my flight with additional fees.
Now the second flight, I also tried to add luggage after booking, which was impossible. Same story as flight 1, only this time I did not pay for imaginary luggage.
Oh and, customer service does not exist. Only a bot which can practically only say hello.
Don't ever fly with these frauds!
We booked flights with lastminute.com last year but the airline cancelled the trip, Airline refunded us the full amount of the flights but it went to Lastminute.com. When I asked when I would get the funds they advised that they had not heard from the airline (despite me forwarding the email from the airline advising funds had been refunded). They then replied stating that I had three options first two option were for credit vouchers using Lastminute.com but if I wanted my money back it would be a £25 handling fee per person (party of 5)...and proceeded to give me £10 back!
I disputed this and they noted that this was in their terms and conditions - they did NOTHING and certainly did not handle anything...
**I took them to the small claims court and WON!**
However they still did not pay and this now included court costs that I finally resorted to enforcement action and they have NOW PAID but costing them twice as much as they originally owed me!
AWFUL COMPANY who have the arrogance to believe that customers will NOT complain and standing by their alleged "terms and conditions" - which they believe is legal and as they are a corporate company they have "right" on their side...

We booked a studio at Nice France for 10 nights in August 2023 through Lastminute
When we arrived at the "studio" we were just speechless. Such a disgusting place, we have never seen in our life. 2 rooms next to us were occupied by some dodgy people who were extremely loud all night coming out of their apartments and selling drugs I guess because it was every 10-15 minutes only 2-3 minutes outside. We didn't sleep all night because we were so scared that they might break our door, which by the way had about 5 locks. My husband stayed up all night with a fork in his hand in case he had to use it.We called the landlord - he didn't answer until the morning when he offered to speak to the building manager - and is there one in this nasty hole? We complained to Lastminute - only chatbot that advised to wait 24 hours but in fact it took them more than 48 hours just to say, that we would not be refunded for the booking because we left the accommodation only a few hours later - literally at sunrise. I will contact the financial ombudsman to claim my expenses definitely. I have pictures and recordings.
Unbeliveliale experience with this company! Don't use this lastminute.com service. They are not accept reclamation, even when it is their own mistake. We didn't get our money back!
At the very beginning everything seems to be so easy. They are taking care of the flight + hotel + transfer.
First of all, after I booked, I figured out that in my flight there weren't included the luggages for the flight and I had to pay extra in the airport.
Second of all, the transfer couldn't be fulfilled from their website and when I asked their CustomerCare team for a solution their reply was 'check on google for a company which organizes transfers from the airports to the hotels'.
Nonetheless, when we arrived at the hotel, they informed us that the booking doesn't show up in their system because the lastminute company didn't inform them about the booking. We contacted them immediately, but due to the fact that it was weekend, nobody was able to solve my problem 'till Monday morning. I had to deposit at the hotel a specific amount of money in order to cover potential expenses, until they bother themselves to solve this problem.
As a conclusion, they had to:
- take care of the flights;
- take care of the booking for the hotel;
- take care of the transfer from the airport;
1. The flights weren't booked properly.
2. The hotel booking was not made.
3. The transfer from the airport was not solved at all.
Basically we paid them for almost nothing.
I am very disappointed that I had the 'opportunity' to collaborate with this agency.
My advice: DO NOT, under any circumstances, book from this company.
It is rare for these sort of providers to receive good reviews so I thought it important to give credit where credit due. Our flight was cancelled by Wizz air which was booked through lastminute.com (as well as our hotel). The airline was horrific and we really believed we were going to have a long stressful journey trying to get a full refund and compensation. However, last minute were brilliant from the moment we first contacted them and within less than 24 hours we were given a full refund of the entire package flights and hotel. Extremely impressed and will feel safe booking through them again. Thank you for being human and dealing with the situation quickly and efficiently without any added stress.
As everyone has said, useless customer service super slow and the staff simply can't speak or read properly. They actually have no idea what they are doing, it's horrific. Outsourced cheap crap call centres.
This company intentionally tries to scam as much money/commission as possible through using legal jargon and extending complaints. DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING VIA THEM!
Booked a return flight to Portugal for my family of four through them for Ryannair. Outbound could not check-in online or at the airport (even with Ryanair customer service help!) cost an extra £220.
Return same again could not check-in online. Checked with Ryanair only to find out that my flight had been cancelled because the lastminute.com payment card had been declined! Had to pay for my flights again. To date they are still offering zero refund.
I have no idea how this sham of a company are allowed to still be in business.
Please do not book with them. I booked and paid for an all inclusive holiday via them in April 2023. ONLY 1 DAY BEFORE DEPARTURE, THEY SENT ME AN EMAIL TO SAY MY HOTEL WAS CANCELLED AND GAVE ME 2 HOURS TO ACCEPT THEIR alternative which was completely unsuitable, full of negative reviews online and in a completely different destination. I was told to "board my flight" as normal without confirmation/offer of a suitable like for like hotel. We arrived at the airport check-in and still had no news of a hotel. I had to AT MY OWN ADDITIONAL EXPENSE fork out another £2700 for the only other hotel remaining on their website. They have not refunded the cost of this additional cost despite their errors. I telephoned the hotel direct for my original "booking " made and paid for in April only to be told the hotel had no reservation under my name. Lastminute.com took the full cost of my holiday booked in April despite there being no reservation. They attempted to blame their supplier HotelBeds. When I made direct contact with HotelBeds, they said I needed to liaise directly with lastminute.com. I am still awaiting to hear from them with my refund. Please avoid these scammers!
I recently booked a package holiday to Sardinia via lastminute.com for my son and his friend.
Due to personal reasons he was unable to attend this trip. His friend instead agreed to take her mother and we respectfully requested to simply change the name of one passenger. There is no communication via the phone and one is coerced into using their web chat platform instead. Ironically, if you wish to make a booking they're more than happy to chat via a human over the phone as they know you'll be parting with your money! But when there's a problem or enquiry, no phone conversation permitted! Interesting eh!
Lastminute.com advised us (via web chat) that name changes were not permitted for this package. They placed the blame squarely at the airlines (easyJet outbound flight and BA inbound flight) stating that the airlines T&C's forbade name changes. I challenged this with both airlines and they informed me that it was lastminute.com who were able to make the changes. After all, as far as I can ascertain it is a simple matter of a few presses of keys on a keyboard and hey presto - the names are changed! Not exactly Einstein stuff is it?! Anyway, they remain adamant that name changes are not permitted. The result is that my son dare not lose his hard earned money and will find a resolution! I'm accusing lastminute.com of profiteering, scandalous and unsympathetic behaviour towards people like my son (20 year old student) who has saved and worked very hard to fund this trip.
Lastminute.com could have done me and themselves a favour by helping me. And now I'm warning everyone else to steer clear of lastminute.com. I will never, ever use them again and neither will my family and friends. You have been warned! Lastminute.com, more like last-minute.con.
The worst agency ever.
Booked a flight for 5 persons. Flight was cancelt but the don't give the money back. Flight was about 10 houwers delayed so got an email from lastminute.com that I can cancel the flight and get my money back. I chose to cancel the trip and book another one. According to the European law I should get my money back within 7 days. I'm waiting for more than 2,5 month. I have contacted them many times. I have contacted Tarom directly to check what's going on. They send me an email that lastminute.com has not send a request to cancel my flight. And they couldn't cancel my flight only lastminute.com can. I have forwarded the email to lastminute.com and the don't replay at all. The only thing I can do is step to the judge/ European Commission to make a complaint. And I will!
Booked 3 return flights to Sweden with these jokers. Despite numerous enquiries where I was assured everything was fine after 5 days an no action they cheerfully announced on their web site my flights booking had been cancelled. No email or call to notify me of this important development. They should not be allowed to sell flights they don't have access to. Luckily I managed to book same flights at same price directly with the airline. If you want your valuable time wasted and worry about your flights coupled with genuinely appealing customer service then these bunch of clowns are ideal. I would strongly recommend not using last minute.com
I usually go to Booking.com and not sure how I ended up with LastMinute. But there it was. Things would probably have been just fine if it weren't for the fact that i had to make a change to the reservation. That is all hell broke loose. The change of reservation itself did take about a week to complete and involved a few phone calls but we got it done, but then I could no longer access my reservation on the lastminute website. After a good week of frustrating back and forth with support, another profile was created and I could access the reservation again. But then the freebie tickets for the London Eye were gone and with many repeated attempts to get that fixed before the trip, I was not successful. I feel cheated to be honest.
The customer support staff was clueless and what was especially irritating is their inability to read the detailed problem description and the history of what had already been tried, so it felt like groundhog day at every interaction. Knowing that the person on the other side is just a cog in that broken wheel helped me staying courteous with their support staff and they tried, it is just that being nice isn't enough for good service, you also need competent people or well designed systems to handle reservations.
It was a very smooth trip. Booking the trip was so easy. When I had questions about my trip the team was there to support me. Hotel transfers were very smooth. I booked private transfer which meant it was just myself and my family in that car The drivers were very professional. I would book again with lastminute.com.com
If you value your hard earned income avoid this company at all cost as whilst they are happy to take your money if things go wrong you've got virtually zero chance of getting it back have reported them to trading standards as we are still awaiting a refund of money paid in April
I booked a room for 2 nights at lastminute.com and paid in full using my credit card. When I arrived at the Hotel in the late evening, the person at the reception said that they currently do not have any online booking tie-up at all. He refused to allow me to check-in based on my booking information from lastminute.com.
When I tried to browse through the web site to call a phone number for support... it showed me a UK international phone number to call from India. Why would everyone have international calling?
So I used their chat option. After lot of automated chat bot responses, it connected me to a chat agent. She asked me regarding the problem. When I typed about my problem, she just typed back saying... "I will contact the Host hotel and call you back and then ended the chat conversation".
Late night, now I am struggling to find a decent hotel reservation, but am not able to find anything close by that is not too expensive. I have not received any call from lastminute.com to resolve my situation!
Why is this website accepting payments and booking reservations at Hotels that are directly saying they do not have any online tie-up?
Their support service is impractical and pretty much useless.

I was emailed to say my confirmation had not been confirmed and therefore I would not be able to fly home. This was on the way to the airport. I then booked a flight through an airline directly. At a considerably increase in cost.
I tried to speak to customer services, who were zero help, said my booking hadn't been cancelled even though lastminute emailed me saying it had been. He said I would not be refunded either...
They have quite literally robbed me on top of making me pay an extortionate amount for a flight with an airline at the airport. On top of the interest rates incurred due to these costs and the stress I missed my pre booked travel home from the airport.
I would be more likely to recommend Hitler for prime minister than recommend it to a friend, let alone someone who I despised.
You also cannot be contacted via telephone, emails are all no reply inboxes and your service agents clearly have no training or understanding of what their job is or how to help customers.
Answer: I want an email address for LastMinute.com through which to log my complaint and ask for an explanation and partial refund.
