I ordered shades from this Just Blinds about a year ago and was satisfied with the product so I recently ordered what was supposed to be the same product for 10 windows in my house, about $1,000 dollars worth. I've received half the order and the quality is totally different. Fabric is lower quality, fit is bad and magnets don't work. I contacted them to inquire as to why the difference and was told that they are using a different vendor located in Mexico.
They also send out shipping notification 10 day before FedEx actually receives the product from Mexico. Very deceptive! Stay away from these crooks!
So far I have ordered blinds for 4 windows. Couldn't be happier with quality, design, turn-around time, communication and shipping. So easy to install and are beautiful. Will continue to order.
I ordered eight blinds from this company several years ago. The price is good, but the quality is so-so. Just recently, the cord on one set of blinds broke, which makes it impossible to raise and lower the blinds. Justblinds.com has a "limited lifetime warranty," but essentially nothing is covered beyond the first year, as I've just learned.
Why? Because one qualification is that "normal wear and tear" is not covered. What's the point of a lifetime warranty if the things that wear out through normal use are not covered? The answer: there's no point at all.
The CR people are nice enough, but unyielding. I couldn't even get them to give me a discount on buying a replacement set.
Besides the broken cord, I also discovered that the wood has become discolored from the sun (of course, that's not covered either).
UPDATE. I fixed the problem myself. It involved buying a replacement cord and restringing it, which is not as difficult as I thought it might be. I'm still not happy with the company because the "limited lifetime warranty" is still just a marketing gimmick designed to fool their customers. A good company doesn't need to do that. Also, for problems such as the one I experienced, perhaps Justblinds should include "how-to" videos on its site, and sell the replacement products.
I'm surprised to see negative experiences with Just Blinds customer service. I ordered faux wood blinds about a year and a half ago. Recently, one set's ladder cords started breaking, making it difficult to properly open and close the blinds. I contacted the company and they asked me if both needed to be replaced, or just one? I said just one and they immediately sent a replacement. From the time I originally contacted the company to the time the new blinds showed up at my door was one week. I didn't pay for shipping, didn't have to provide pictures or have to hassle with the company about their warranty. Very pleased with how easy it was to resolve this issue!
"Gary the fitter is letting this business down. He tells lies and doesn't turn up to appointments. He rushes through the job so the blinds end up not being fitted securely and he's never heard of a dustpan and brush. Worst of all he stinks of a mixture of stale cigarette, coffee and body odour which takes days with windows open to fully clear. Just blinds are cheap but they're cheap for a reason. I'll never use them again which is a shame as my experience could've been quite different if they'd sent a decent fitter."
Let the buyer beware! I placed an order online for a small kitchen window Plantation Shutter (35x22) in faux wood ($85). When I tried to checkout I was shocked to see a Freight charge of $55. There was NOTHING on the website explaining why this charge was so excessive or even why it was added. I emailed customer NO service to ask why the charge was almost as high as the price of the shutter, only to be told that it was "standard" on ALL shutters. They LOST my business from that point on. Smart people don't pay $55 shipping/freight on a faux shutter that weighs less than 6 lbs. That's just CRAZY!
These blinds are so awesome! I ordered the faux wood in bright white in 2", outside mount. Took a bit longer than my last order-(3days), which was over 10 years ago when we lived in Houston, but I imagine that your company has grown quite a bit since then and that y'all are much busier now.:^) Anyway, they were so easy to install, and less than HALF the price of a big box store for measuring, build, and installation, plus, that took about 6 weeks! And they look better, too-perfect fit! Thanks so much.
I ordered, and received, 6 (six) Solar Shades for an inside mount installation. After installing the first shade, we realized that the sides of the fabric did not cover the glass in our windows, even though the fit on the roller mechanism inside the window frame was very tight. The claim blazoned across their Home Page offering a 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee", and a Return Policy that explicitly states that if unable to achieve your satisfaction, "we will promptly provide you with a return authorization and shipping instructions", is totally false. This company has a 100% NON-Refundable policy. When I requested instructions for returning the shades, their Sales Rep, Lucrecia, told me: "The shades are not returnable because they are a custom size... All of our products are custom sizes... None of our products is returnable because ALL are custom sizes."
Never deal with this company full of lies waste of money they don't even refund you after lying so much need to report them to trading standards
I have purchased blinds from this company for my rental units and my B&B and have never had a problem. They look great andbfunction well even after 10 years. I am planning on purchasing again for my new future home. I definitely recommend them. Measure yourself and order online... it's easy and the prices are great.
I bought a venetian blind when I moved into my new home and I had nothing but trouble with it. The fittings were inferior and each time we tried to drop the blind the cord twisted at the top. We had to get the steps out and try to untwist it and even had to assist it by hand little by little. They sent someone out once and still it wouldnt work properly. I had complained several times and eventually they stopped replying to emails. Keep away from this company. Their customer service is non existent.
DISHONEST SALESMAN FOR "JUST BLINDS" Bought from them for many years, Back in Nov. 2013 I went online to order three white blinds but couldn't find the same color "white" to match the other ones in my home that I bought from them in 2008. Since we added a room we needed to match the same color white as the rest of the house' but couldn't find that color white online as an option Therefore I called JustBlinds by phone the next day and talked to a gentleman telling him about my problem.He looked up my previous order (around 2008) and told me that he would send me that same color white even though it was no longer listed as an option online so I believed him. When the blinds came in they were a dull white (someone locally told me "off white or maybe antique white)). He ltold me that he looked it up and it was not listed on the internet but they had it) The rest of the house is white-white like a sheet of copy paper. I checked the box on the survey indicating the service was very poor. I think the salesman I talked to just wanted to make a sale knowing it was a different shade of white. Don't guess I'll be recommending them again. There went severak hundred dollars down the tube.
Poor customer service. They refused to rectify an issue with the blinds. They claim that the flaw was not correctable and could potentially happen again. The issue prevented the blinds from functioning. I will never use them again.
I ordered a room darkening roller blind from justblinds.com rather then go to the local Lowes. I did this because I suspected the fit and finish would be better from justblinds.com. I was totally right. The cut and the added touches like the ends of the pull being sewn are exactly what I had hoped for. It litterally took me 5 minutes to install and it was a perfect fit (I made sure my measurements were spot on as well). I was even able to get it in a grey color that matched the room. Great quality and about the same price makes this a great deal.
I bought my blinds about 2 years now. I have notices this helping people from looking in at night, they also keep the cold from my big windows from coming in. So, they help in keeping the house warmer in winter and colder in the summer. I'm very happy with my blinds. If you need blinds, JustBlinds is the place to get them. Great people to work with, if you screw up on the measurements, they will replace them.
I called these guys to get a whole house worth of blinds. The salesperson Kamal asked me to send some pictures and specs. He said he would run it by the design team and get back to me later that day. He didn't get back, so I figured not a big deal he just got busy. Then he didn't get back the next day. So I emailed him the next morning. He replied late in the day that he was sorry and would look at it today. I didn't hear back, so I called in the morning. I talked to another salesperson who was not particularly helpful, but did tell me he would let Kamal know to call me. I never heard back. Screw these guys. That was the worst sales experience I think I've ever had. At least a car saleman will actually discuss the product with you.
I called them to come around to measure and to arrange a fitting day they never shown up! Really disappointed! They shouldn't be in business that's my opinion! Completely rude!
The web site was excellent. We received the blinds in a timely manner and they are what we ordered to the exact size. The problem we had was that not enough hardware came with the order to be able to hang the blinds right away. Also, the instructions were awful. They were hard to follow and incomplete. I will say that contrary to some of the reviews, we had excellent customer service. We spoke with 2 different people on the phone. Both were very courteous and helpful.

We had everything set to go on a large order for this company to order our blinds. We spoke with Greg who was extremely rude, arrogant and dismissive. We then ask to speak with his manager who was even more rude if that's possible. They will fein a discount before you put your order in, but when you do get ready to purchase, you get the bait and switch and no real discount and then they are horribly rude to you about it. We will not do business with this company ever.
