Scam
June 7, 2018

SCAM! I was under the impression of making a reservation with the hotel directly, but instead talked to HotelsOne. The cost for the hotel stay was $514.52, and they charged me $748.98! It is FRAUD. Beware!

How sad that a company these days, in an era of high levels of customer service because companies want your business, is able to stay afloat and be so horrible. I obviously mistakenly booked a hotel through them. When I received my confirmation, the total said $194. WHAT? I almost fell down, it was awfully high. So, $158 rate, $23 tax, $12.13 service fees. "Oh no, our company never charges fees. I do not see that on the bill." Apparently they could only "see" $35.13 total - not broken down. I asked if I could send them a copy of the confirmation THEY SENT ME and they said there was no way to do that. The supervisor was no help. Very upsetting. I told them this is the worst customer service I have ever had. It's only $12.13 but its the principle of the thing. I don't want to waste any of my hard earned money. Horrible, unfriendly people.

EXPEDIA PARTNER SCAM
February 26, 2018

DO NOT USE HOTELSONE. Do yourself a favor and contact the hotel directly. This company is horrible and is one of EXPEDIA partners. They provide absolutely no value to the hotel booking experience. Hampton Inn told us they never ask customers to pay up front. As other reviews I have seen I believed I was booking directly with the hotel we were staying at and did not know this until we had to make changes and called the hotel. Do not waste your time or your money with this site. Rates available directly with hotel were cheaper than those charged by this site. This company will also charge you up front, whereas the hotel would only have charged a deposit. File a complaint with both the BBB and the FTC against this scam company.

Crooks
February 21, 2018

As other reviews I have seen I believed I was booking directly with the hotel we were staying at and did not know this until we had to make changes and called the hotel. Then when we discovered the facility was a dump and we got the worst room in the place which now makes sense. When we wanted to cancel the rest of our stay it was like jumping through hoops and never got a confirmation for our $730 refund so we can kiss that money goodbye. NEVER EVER USE this company,

Do not use this site
February 15, 2018

Do not waste your time or your money with this site.
Rates available directly with hotel were cheaper than those charged by this site. This company will also charge you up front, whereas the hotel would only have charged a deposit.
Raising a complaint has redirected me to yet another company, and has not been responded to in the time quoted. When I called for a status update (at the end of their quoted 10 day response time) and asked to escalate, the supervisor / manager is not available. Frankly, after my previous dealings with this company I do not believe it.
Will never use this website again

February 5, 2018

Im a Canadian federal employee, booked from Canada for a Canadian hotel and requested Canadian Government rate. I later learned that I had not called the hotel but actually hotels one and on book king in learned the rate was in USA dollars and more than the hotel rate. The hotel noted its a common scam. I called them and was told I should have realized it was USA dollars... I noted I was calling a CAnadian hotel from Canada... I will be taking this up with visa.,,,, what a scam

LIARS! STAY AWAY!
February 1, 2018

My husband and I had reservations at a hotel in Atlantic City for 1 night. My mother-in-law had a heart attack 2 days before we were to go 2 hours after the cancellation time of 6:00. I called the hotel directly to cancel and was told I have to call HotelsOne. I Called and spoke to a rep, explained the situation and was told there was nothing that could be done. I asked for a supervisor and again explained my situation. He then told me to hold and he will call the hotel to get their OK. When he got back on the line he told me they denied me a refund and there was nothing that could be done. I called the hotel directly again and spoke to the same woman and she said that she absolutely DID NOT get a call from anyone and that she is the supervisor, the only one there, and she would have no problem with giving me a full refund given the circumstances! Needless to say I HotelsOne back looking for the person who lied to me but was told they could not transfer the call! After I explained the whole situation again, quite upset now, she said to hold and would call the hotel again and get their permission and of course she did for a full refund! I called the hotel, spoke to the same supervisor and she did get that call and was more than happy to help! Now Im on the lookout for my refund! The bottom line is DO NOT use HotelsOne! However I would book directly to that hotel or any other one.

HORRIBLE SERVICE
January 17, 2018

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. Horrible customer service. I booked 8 rooms for my company and notified them that I would be calling back with the corporate card. When I called back, they could not switch the credit card for the reservation without canceling and charging me almost $100 more per night per room. DO NOT USE HotelsOne.com

Very disappointed
January 3, 2018

We made our reservations three weeks in advance, yet we got the worst room available; above the laundry room (dryers worked all night long), next to the elevators and facing the vending and ice machines.

Hotelsone charges your credit card immediately even if your reservation isn't for several months. If you cancel, they state on their website that a refund may take 30 days.

If you book directly with the hotel, the hotel will not charge your credit card until the reservation date. If you cancel within the terms of the hotel, there is no refund because you were never charged.

BOOK DIRECTLY WITH THE HOTEL!

The confirmation number that hotelsone provides is NOT the confirmation number from the hotel, so you cannot verify that you actually have a reservation with the hotel.

I booked a hotel room through their website. The website indicated free cancellation until 6 pm the night before your booking. I tried to cancel on the same night I booked as my travel plan changed. They had me on the phone for 10 minutes afterward they told me that I made my booking through hotelpass.com even though I booked it through their website and the confirmation email came through them but the booking happened through hotelpass.com. I guess where the hotelpass.com is. Well, I couldn't tell because the website doesn't have anything beside some asian writing. The phone number of the site doesn't have a country code as well. Thank god, the booking was for one night only and I let. I would stay away from Hotelsone even they offer me free room.

I was charged $70 over the hotel rate as service and tax fees. Paid in advance and when I got the confirmation, I was shocked that I had called Hotelsone.com. I feel ripped off now. Not cool.

Deceitful
August 18, 2017

Website is deceiving as you think it is for a specific hotel, false info on rates a/v and hotelsone rate was certainly no deal. Did not tell me it was in US funds. When I called back next day to cancel -100% sure they had blocked my phone number but I was able to get thru right away by using another phone line. They did refund me but I am out $11.00 due to c\c exchange rates.

I too thought i was booking directly with hotel. " Ian" promised me adjoining rooms with my sister overlooking a scenic river view. He said the breakfasts were sold out. I mentioned my sister had a gift certificate for her room. He assured me she only had to present it when we went to check in. I jotted down the confirmation numbers: R******* and R*******. I knew I had emails if I needed them but didnt think it necessary at the time. Had I read them I would have tried to cancel as I was charged for two rooms. I have never written a Negative review but, after this experience I will be very careful making reservations. I feel like I was taken advantage and lied to. This company is not honest and I'm happy to report this experience. Kathy C. Very disappointed!

I had booked a hotel 21 days in advance in anticipation of my wife's birthday. For some reason I thought I had booked directly through the hotel's website but apparently I ended up on a 3rd party site under Hotelsone.com billed through EAN.com, my fault as I booked it while I was distracted with work. I called the night before and it was then that they told me I had booked through a 3rd party site as could not use my membership to get points, but the hotel confirmed that they had my reservation but check-in was at the earliest 3 pm. My wife and I showed up at 1pm hoping they would allow us to at least leave our luggage, and it was there they told us that Hotelsone.com had overbooked and we didn't have a room. The young lady at the front desk called every hotel within their company to see of any available rooms but I knew it wouldn't happen as this was a popular beach area that fills up fast. I took it upon myself to call the company. After 2 hrs they found a place but I had to travel an extra few miles away from the beach area. I told them they ruined my stay as they kept me 2 hrs from my fun in the sun. I did get a refund from the initial hotel and they did give me a 38.00 amount for distance difference if I would have taken a cab. I am just checking now if the other hotel charged me a higher fee. As it hasn't shown up on my billing statement. I suggest for anyone to avoid this company/website for any bookings.
