I paid 42 dollars to hold a price for a flight and three days later I tried to purchase it and they charged me an extra 70 dollars, with no reimbursement whatsoever

I, like many others, booked a trip pre-covid and was forced to cancel. Hopper would not refund my money and only would provide a credit for future travel. This would be ok if you you could actually reach their customer service department when trying to rebook...
They recently changed how to contact them, you used to be able to reach someone through their app, after a extremely painful amount of automatic reply's but now all you can do is send an email with no response after 4 days!

They have no customer service! No way to contact a human being. Look it up and see for yourself. We failed to do so and are basically screwed now. If you try to contact customer service, you must do so through the app, and "someone will contact you within 24 hours". 2 weeks and 6 attempts later, still no customer service! Do not buy from them!

Our flights were cancelled in March by the airlines due to Covid. Hopper sent several messages early on saying to sit tight and the refund would be issued. We also had trip insurance through Hopper. Last communication was in June - an email from the CEO saying a refund would be arriving in 60 days. No communication since then. I've filed a complaint with the BBB (no satisfactory response), issued a complaint through our credit card (but past the time limit now to have that work), and am now going to try the airlines directly. If you have figured out how to get a refund from Hopper, I'd love to hear from you. This is our first, and last time using this service.

Disappointed.

Flight was canceled due to covid in March. Hopper has not refunded money after nearly nine months. They won't even respond to our requests.

No Customer Service!

I booked a flight in April, i think cancelled it several months later. The app doesn't reflect the cancellation and they have removed the options to change or cancel flights. There is no customer service number to call, no real time chat service either. You can only submit a request and wait for them to respond. And wait, and wait, and wait, until you cut your losses and chalk it up as a lesson learned. I don't think they started as a fraudulent company, but once the pandemic hit, something went terribly wrong, and now what they are doing likely borders on illegal activity. They brag about their investors on their website, so I would encourage folks to also reach out to those investors as well with these complaints.

After the flight canceled due to COVID lockdown, the airlines issued a voucher and sent it to the agency back in May 2020. Since that, I am contacting Hopper to receive a refund back but none has answered me. There is no phone to call. 550$ gone. DONT USE HOPPER. There thousands of people in the same situation.

Hopper scam

I booked my flight using this app and now, the airline cancelled my flight which they have refunded but since I booked ticket using hopper, it went to this account. Hopper didn't refund my ticket. Someone please help me to raise a complaint against this company.

My airline cancelled my flight due to Covid I tried reaching out to Hopper for about a month and they have no customer service. I then reached out to my airline and they said hopper has received my refund but yet they have not sent it to me. Hopper is holding my money and will not refund me. I then filed a complaint to the BBB. I do not recommend hopper at all. They are the worst.

Hopper is a fraud and con. I booked a flight and due to the recent COVID lockdowns to the place I was traveling, I had to cancel the flight. Well, I spent three days to try and resolve this but five days later still not resolved. The customer service is the worst! First, when someone finally gets on the chat days later, they still can't resolve your issue. I also paid for VIP service but could not get an agent.

I never received a response from Hopper to change my flight to 2021, so I called American Airline and was able to cancel my flight and keep the credit to book next year. Was told because I went through a 3rd party, Hopper that when I call to rebook I will be charged a $50 rebooking fee per person.
I did not want to cancel, but with CVOID it's just too unsafe. It is not fare to charge a rebooking fee in this situation.
I bet if I filed a complaint with the better business bureau I would get a response.

I have used Hopper in the past and love the savings, but lack of customer service sucks.
I have a flight to Jamaica in December and need to change it to 2021 due to CVOID and unable to change on the APP. I sent a request for a customer service representative to contact me last week and it says a representative will review and get in contact within 24 hours. Today I sent a second request A-K1K6J6. I understand CVOID has made the airlines and Hopper busier than normal but we need an email and a phone number to call. I am one of those people that won't answer a call if I don't know who it is, so IF THEY CALL would like to know what number they call from.

BEWARE!

This is ABSOLUTE WORST 3rd party booking application I've ever used in my life! I previously (3 days ago) paid for this new "price freeze" feature they have and it was ABSOLUTELY USELESS! Not only does it not freeze the price of the flights selected for the price, when you try to make your reservations, it CONSTANTLY gives an error message saying the airline is not booking the flight and to choose another flight. There are no customer service reps to talk, or to email/message/text with, nor there's not ONE way to rectify the issue other than general help FAQs & troubleshooting tactics that DO NOT WORK! Please if you value your hard earned money DO NOT USE THIS APP! But if you INSIST on using it, you can track your flight prices and then go DIRECTLY to the airline website and book DIRECTLY from them. Ultimately, that's what I had to do in order to get my flights booked. They charged me $35 for that "price freeze" feature and it was all for nothing. Though I'm at a loss for only $35 (thank goodness no more than that), I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED and am advising people to don't put yourself through the same thing that I went through... BEWARE!

Never refunded

I cancelled my Air Europa flight on 2/29/2020. I had also purchased insurance for this flight. After many texts from various Hopper employees, asking me to be patient, and it would take 30 to 90 days for my refund, they totally dropped the ball!
I've tried called, going through the website, and contacting individuals on my email list who previously, to no avail. When I respond to the (now old) texts, I get a nessage that " this email is not being monitored"
I am at my wits end, very stressed over this. I am out almost $1200!
I am 65 years old, on a fixed income, and this trip to Barcelona was my dream.
I WOULDN'T ADVISE HOPPER TO ANYONE!
It's shameful that I haven't been refunded!

I bought an airline ticket for someone else and didn't realize until later that I made an error on their last name (they had 2 last names). Anyway, I contacted Hopper through their app to tell them that I needed to do a name correction. I assumed there would be some sort of charge for my mistake but I didn't know what that charge would be. They never responded to me but went ahead and charged my card $94.28. I sent them another message saying that they charged my card but that they didn't get the name correction information from me. I also asked them is that what the $94.28 charge was even for. Stil no response. I then contacted them a 3rd time asking them to please confirm what the charge was for and also that my friend's flight was fast approaching and that I needed this name correction done ASAP. Still no response of any kind! I tried calling their *******499) but only got a continued busy signal without ever getting through. I finally received a refund but it was actually through my credit card company after I disputed the charge. I was also able to do the name change through United Airlines who responded through their app immediately and did the name correction within just a few minutes. I have used Hopper before without any problems so kudos for that I guess. The bottom line is don't have any problems with them. If you have a problem (especially after reading other reviews) you will be out of luck. Customer Service defines a company, which is why this company gets an F in my book.

Pls don't book from hoppers before you book make sure you can find customer phone number where they can be reached if you cannt find any don't that is my opinion. I booked ticket through hopper and I've sent several e nails about my either refund or change in flight time. I got no response from them not even an e mail and the air line will always direct you back to the agent. No customer service to speak to. If you book your vacation from them well it's up to you to loose your money. This site seems it's a scam

I paid for the flexible date plan and needed to use it to change the return flight. This is what happens: I clicked on change flight and it says my plan has expired. Then I contacted the help center about it and the instructions say need to choose an entirely new flight and submit the request. So, I selected a random new date and requested the change. I got a chat message in Hopper saying I had to book the new flight and then fill out a form. They only provided a link in the chat message to this form. The chat message appeared to be a bot (however, later I was asked to review "Chris"). After seeing I had to rebook the flight, I left the chat to find a flight. At that point, I realized that the chat was gone! There was no way to access that link to the form. There was no way to ask Chris a question. I wasn't going to rebook a new ticket until I confirm the procedure. I'm still waiting for someone to contact me. Oh, and the worst part is that you only have 24 hours to submit the form. And when you request help, they ask you to be patient and wait 24 hours.

Aweful! I booked several flights before COVID and only got 2 refunds. I contacted their customer service via app and no one has gotten back to. I am reporting them to the business bereau! This is a scam!

Don't use Hopper

This company is the worst! We had to cancel our flights because of COVID for our vacation and I have been trying to contact them for 3 months. They state that they will return your message in 24 hours I have still yet to hear from them. I contacted them again on Friday it is now Wednesday with no reply to rebook my flights. I had to rebook them through American Airlines and pay an extra $250 because I used a 3rd party originally to book my flights. Stay away from hopper! They are the worst! No customer service, no number to reach them by and they do not return messages.
