Worst experience ever! Flights got cancelled due to COVID and both Alaska and Westjet offered full refund and flexible dates and destinations to rebook flights. Only that I booked my flights through Hopper and they have a whole different set of policies with restricted timeline and destinations. To add to that, 6 months after the cancellations, the refund/credits are still not transferred to my account and customer service is absolutely horrible. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

At one time a wonderful website. Then Covid hit and Hopper drastically cut back customer service. Now Hopper has gone woke. May they go Broke.

PRICE FREEZE HOAX

STAY AWAY THEY ARE FULL OF $#*! - SCAM ALERT!
Paid $45 to freeze a flight at $2700 - came back to book it and they wanted to charge me $11,500!

The idea of a price freeze is that it freezes that price.

Contacted American Airlines and they said that flight on that day does not even exist.

No customer support response.

I have cancelled my flight through United Airlines and they have offered 100% of my flight cost as a credit. Unfortunately, I am unable to use that credit because Hopper hasn't processed my flight cancellation after several months. I have reached out on multiple occasions to redeem my credit for a flight I want to book in December, but Hopper has been completely useless. United said I should have booked directly with them to have avoided this issue. Hopper Customer Support- if you see this please return my emails!

Awful

No customer service. Total Scam. I tried cancelling my flight and even though I had purchased additional travel insurance from them, they still failed to cancel my flight and honor a refund or even travel credit. The cancellation button on the app is a sham. No one gets back to you. Don't waste your money. Use hopper to explore your options then book with the airline directly. I hope they go out of business soon. I'm reporting them to BBB.

Unfortunately I purchased a ticket to Glasgow 3/14 and then had to cancel due to Covid. When I contacted them I got an automated message that I had to deal with the airline directly. Then, after waiting on hold for eternity with the airline, they told me they couldn't do anything and I would have to contact Hopper. When I reached out to Hopper again they redirected me to the airline and wouldn't give me an option to speak with anyone in customer service. Worst experience ever!

It is a scam

I purchase a plane ticket and they cancelled without letting me know. The day of my flight, I check the status of the flight and it was cancel. Can you imagine! The same day, when everything was planned. Very unprofessional and they took $300.00 of my refund because of a cancelation that I did not do! The Airline could not explained me because I pay directly this scam of website.
If you want to have peace of mind on your trip, do not use this app please! They are not going to help you.

We purchased tickets for a family backpacking trip to Peru. We were scheduled to fly on 21 Mar. Peru closed its borders on 16 Mar. I received emails from both LATAM and Hopper stating my flights were cancelled and that only a flight credit would be issued. LATAM has since said they are wiling to give a refund but says Hopper must initiate the refund process. Since my flight was cancelled I can no longer contact Hopper through the app as I have no itinerary to do so. I have tried every link in all emails. I have tried ever option in the app. I have tried several sites for phone numbers and called everyone of them with either a disconnected line or a message saying "this is not the support for Hopper, go through the app". This is completely unacceptable. I paid over $3800 for these tickets, am unable to reschedule and cannot get in touch with Hopper to refund my money.
I was a fan off the app until now.
How can a company run like this without a phone, email, or any type of human interaction? Insane.

I had a flight cancelled due to COVID. I eventually received an email stating I would be receiving my refund (since I bought travel insurance) in 7-10 business days about 3 months ago with nothing received. I've contacted their customer service about 5 times now and even reached out to employees on Linkedin to complete silence.DO NOT USE THIS APP.

I would truly rate this company a 2/10. Placed a trip with full cancellation about 6 months ago. Cancelled the trip almost 3 full weeks before departing date and was told I would be fully refunded in payment periods. Unless they're payments periods are every 3 months then I have blatantly been robbed. I have reached out over 24 times regarding this refund with automated responses every single time saying don't worry we will refund you but still nothing comes of it. There's no customer service phone number or email, I can't talk to an employee of this company, and they have continuously lied about refunding my 600$ which I actually paid extra for to be able to cancel and receive my refund. Less than 3 months later I messed up on ordering tickets through Alaska airlines. Within 2 minutes of being on the phone with a representative I Was able to get a full refund back into my account and order a new ticket. I would strongly suggest anyone to not use this site as there are thousands of other companies who do exactly what hopper does but actually stand behind there word and issue refunds. Truly disappointed and will continue to fight this claim until I get paid. May take a year at this point but I'm going to do it. $#*! you hopper from the bottom of my heart.

I placed a flight on price freeze when I booked it charged my card I have not received a confirmation or itinerary. I left messages and never received any communication back. Hopper customer service is horrible there is no way to call only chat and they don't respond to chat. Now I have a purchase I have to dispute with my bank as fraud with no flights.

Hi Guys

I booked my recent travel from Hopper and as due to covid situation, i opted for flexible Date plan from the app. The mere reason for selection of the service to add cushion to my travel plans. There was some changes in my total journey by airline and therefore my travel time increased from 24 to 37 hours and as a result the app send me reminder still I want to go with same flight or not. I want them to give me alternative options(which were available on their app) they didn't bother to do so and the customer service just cancelled the ticket. I paid 200$ for the flexible date plan but all money in vein as they dont give you any support and that's merely to make fool out of you. Stay away

I have been trying to get in contact with them and they do not have any way to call them. If you put in a request it says they will reach out in 24 hours and never do! THEY SUCK AND WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

No Refund

My flight was canceled out of my control due to COVID. It has been over 90 days and Hopper has yet to refund my ticket for $500. I have contacted the airline directly, threatened a lawyer, emailed customer service multiple times with no response from the company. It is extremely frustrating that Hopper contains no direct phone number for customer service and you have to wait to receive a text back in the app for help. Don't waste your time and money.

No number to reach out to anyone. Submit a request and it states someone will contact you within 24hrs, but that doesn't happen. I have submitted several requests and no response. I'm trying to use my travel credit that I have from cancelled flight from COVID. Airline says I have to use with hopper or pay a fee with them. Meanwhile the flight I'm trying to use it for keeps going up. I have a few different credits with them that I guess will be wasted now. Do not use hopper to book flights, go directly to the airline!

This site has horrible customer service. I have been waiting since March to have my money either refunded or be able to rebook the trip that was cancelled due to Covid-19. I just want to go on my vacation and not be out $1500 for the flights that I already paid for. Call me back, message me back or something, anything is better than nothing. It is ridiculous that 8 mths has passed and I am still dealing with this issue. Please fix this HOPPER!

This app is a joke. I booked a flight in June which happened to be cancelled by the airline due to COVID and airline closure.
To this day, I have yet to receive a refund. I contacted the airline who said I need to speak to Hopper.
Finally after 2 months of sending messages through the useless app, I received a response from John. John let me know my account was highly monitored and he was awaiting a response from the airline. After another 3 weeks I messaged him. Now another 3 weeks have passed with no response and the app has now changed so you cannot see your prior messages.
The new app says to submit your concern and it will be responded to in 24 hours... yet here I am 5 days later again!
Absolute worst site and worst customer service ever. I work in customer service myself so it takes a lot for me to write about poor customer service because I do understand things get busy and messy etc.
This is unacceptable! I have let all friends and family know NEVER use Hopper.
I will await my response...
Also the fact that they have no number for customer service or any other contact method other than the app is HUGE RED FLAG. Wish I would have paid more attention sooner.

I booked flights with Hopper before the pandemic and one was a European flight between Paris and London. While trying to cancel the airline continues to tell me the third party has to refund my money because I technically paid them. Hopper has TERRIBLE customer service and you can't speak to anyone. You just have to continue to fill out a request form and hope someone will do their job and give you your hard earned money back. After 6 weeks of filling the forms out someone finally answered and told me I had to talk to the airline. Nope. Try again. Third party companies are required to refund money. I've known that for years. So I filled out 4 more forms in hopes someone will actually care to do their job. Do NOT book anything with them.
