STAY FAR AWAY. SCAM COMPANY

I NEVER write reviews but my experience has been TERRIBLE on 3 separate occasions so i need to write one to hopefully steer others FAR away. Their customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE and no matter what, they will NEVER accommodate the customer. Kick and scream all you want but they will not do ANYTHING to accommodate you. They just want your money and once they have it you're screwed! BEWARE

I bought flight tickets with a worth over one thousand dollars. They cancelled my tickets due to the pandemic and stated that I was going to get a refund. I contacted the airline and they told me that I was eligible for a refund but through Hopper. Hopper has not customer service AT ALL. They only reach out to me because I reported them to the US Fair Trade Commission. They have only gone back and forth with emails. However, I have never received any type of refund and it's been over 2 years (mind you, I requested a refund the very next day my flight was cancelled with the airline). They literally rip me off and ran with the money. I would never advise anyone to make business with this company. Please avoid this company at all costs. This has been the worse experience I had with any business.

Worst experience ever!

This has been the worst experience booking a flight ever! I booked my flight then needed to change one of the flights time and they told me I'd have to cancel my entire flight and rebook another one. Then I noticed that my name was not spelled correctly so I had to get in contact with them through freaking email because they have NO number for you to call and actually talk to someone over the phone which is very frustrating. They proceed to tell me that they cannot change my name on the ticket (which is bs, I booked with them, they should be able to) and told me to arrive at the airport early and talk to someone about changing my name and that it was likely I'd have to cancel my flight and rebook another THE DAY OF! And I wouldn't get refunded for that canceled flight either. If you're going to have an app to help people book flights, hotels, etc., at least have better customer service and actually talk to someone over the phone instead over email which they take up to a day to respond back.

Hopper it's such a bad service, we book our flights to Europe in March, these guys kept on changing our flight till the point that the price went up. At the point they were actually able to secure our flight it went from a 14 hour flight to a 38 flight and we are traveling with a 1 year old baby. The only other option given was to cancel the flight and book it at a higher price. Lesson learned, we are actually booking the flights directly with the airline. Hopper never again, you suck

Scam. Stay away!

Used this app to book a hotel room; when I arrived at the hotel I was told no rooms were available and that no reservations were under my name. I showed them the confirmation from hopper, but it didn't matter.
Had to get another hotel room last minute (more expensive) AND eat the cost from the hopper app, because even after contacting them and disputing the fee on my credit card they refused to give a refund.

UPDATE: Hopper ended up siding with LaQuinta (big suprise), who claimed that 'after searching for my room for a while, the front desk clerk DID find it and that I decided to leave afterwards.'

I have just tried to book a flight from Vancouver to Dublin and was charged 1700 from my bank but have no booking number so cannot contact anyone as it says you need your booking number to do so. Absolute disgrace, I better have my refund or a booking number soon.

Hopper Let Me Down

I booked a trip that claimed to have many included perks. The outbound flight was on Virgin Atlantic (main cabin) serviced by Delta who downgraded me to basic economy which took away the perks like seat selection. I reached out to Hopper FOUR times so far with no response but to contact the airlines directly. An hour and sixteen minutes on hold with Virgin Atlantic and an hour and ten minutes on the phone with Delta to get "you need to contact Hopper". This has been a nightmare. I will only ever book through the airlines directly. Hopper is useful to estimate when to buy but that is all. Do not book through them.

I tried booking with hopper, entered all my information, credit number etc...
Hit the "swipe to book" and get the error message about the booking can't be completed right now, we're working on the problem.
I checked my credit card statement and there is a pending charge for the flight and 2 for $1 each.
I received NO notification from anybody from hopper that I'm flight is being processed.
There is no customer service, so right now I'm being ripped off by them.
At this point I can care less about their dumb FAQ about cards being charged and no booking. This is deceitful business and it should be shut down.
Credit card companies can't refund charges that are in pending state, so I'm sitting here not knowing if I should book directly with the airline company or wait for these dumb deceitful bunny hoppers do help me. This is an emergency trip to go see my sick father in my home country and I'm here kicking myself for trusting this little crappy hopper company with my trip, shame on me for that, another lesson learned. I feel sorry for people in a tight budget trying to save a few bucks. Sometimes it is not worth the $20 or $30 you think you're saving.

WORST APP/ CUSTOMER SERVICE

I made reservations for a hotel in Boston for 9/11-12/21, but was sent confirmation for a hotel in Florida, making me miss out on my reservation which I paid for and now I had to pay for another place to stay, and also Hopper tried to charge me for the Florida reservation. There's no way to contact support through the app because it doesn't list the hotelS they charged me for.

Worse travel site scam

I have used this app 4 times almost every time there has been a complication where you can't reach customer service. I'm officially deleting the app after they sent me 4 emails saying they'd review my refund request but then they waited past the 24 hour period and i wasn't "eligible" for a refund anymore. Joke of a app

Disgusting company

If I could give no stars I would. I tried to book a flight for a funeral next week. When I tried to pay an error message came up saying try again later. I did this a few times over the day but no success. No booking was made. But then a few hours later I realised that Hopper had two charges pending out of my account for a total of $3,508 total. You cannot contact hopper on the phone if you don't have a booking. You cannot email them. The contact information provided here is false and doesn't get you to a human. I cannot make another booking with someone else as I don't know if this booking has been successful and I have no funds left seen as they have two pending charges for the same flight! The bank cannot stop a pending transaction and get the money back we have to wait for it to drop off and according to Hopper that is going to take days! Why take money for a flight you didn't book. Why hold my money so long that I cannot make another booking? Why take twice the payment leaving me penniless that was literally my money to pay all my bills and food? Why in 2021 can you not speak to a person and there is no customer service number provided to a company taking millions from peoples bank accounts and not providing the goods you paid for? Disgusting!

Worst service ever!

I rented a car through Hopper which was a 7 seater SUV. When I got to the car rental place Dollar they ended up giving me a downgrade to a 5 seater. I reached out to Hopper and they do not want to give me a refund for the difference. DONT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. Also impossible to get a hold of.

Stole my money

I was trying to use my last of my money to try to get a nice room a comfortable bed and a warm shower after I worked all week our power messed up they a say it can't be fixed til Tuesday bc Monday is a holiday so we were trying to find. Room to get a warm shower and rest bc we worked all night then this app took my money didn't confirm our rooms and when u call to talk to anyone the number doesn't work my bank says it will be 30 days so I guess now we will have to sleep in the car again

Friendly, feel good app but that's all you will get. My resort town is burning and the hotel is evacuated. I tried to contact the hotel but nobody is there. I'm attempting to get a refund or rebooking but you CANNOT connect with ANYONE at Hopper. All phone numbers refer you back to the app and make changes with your booking that way. The problem here is that I downloaded the app but my reservation is NOT located in the bookings. Super frustrating. I'm not totally tech illiterate, but I can't do a thing.
I've had 3 other people try to help me find this booking or give me some help. There is absolutely nothing I can do except call my credit card company and try to remove it that way. The app is NOT user friendly and I can't even seem pull up my account easily. Lots of problems and a huge waste of my time.
Zero customer service and I mean zero. A do it yourself booking service but if you have any glitches like a pandemic or forest fire good luck! Last time I use Hopper.

BEST APP TO GET THE CHEAPEST FLIGHTS

I've been looking at flight tickets recently because I'm planning some travels for the next few months. I heard about hopper somewhere on the internet (i forgot) but decided to give it a try. Turns out, this is now my favorite BOOKING FLIGHTS APP.

I don't wanna drag any other third party companies down but I've seen people get in bad situations with these companies and I just don't like using them. However, Hopper here is so easy to use, super friendly, and just gives you the best prices without feel like you're being scammed.

I also love the feature where you can "freeze" your flight for a certain price (usually really low from $25-40 but depends on your full flight price) and they will give you 7 days to pay it. "if the price increases, you'll pay the price you see now and if the price goes down, you'll pay the lower price!"

Overall, great app and love what this company does. ALSO you dont HAVE to purchase from Hopper but get this app to easily look at the flight prices per dates and compare!

I was unable to check on online with American Airlines, forcing me to have to wait in line at the airport to do so... I will NEVER BOOK WITH HOPPER AGAIN... Just directly to the Airlines website and you will also save $50 in doing so.

False advertising

I booked i resort all inclusive in Cancun, it says freeze this price for $89, and I have up to $39 days to book it … The resort I booked was Moon Palace, didn't realize there's a couple of them, the hoper app offered the lower end one … 15 mins after I booked the reservation I realized wasn't the right resort when I contacted them, they already charged my card within 15 mind is booking $600 not I'm going back and forth with different ppl from this company coming with all the excuses why they can't refund my money, only exchange for a different hotel, it is a BIG SCAM, don't be saving that $100 is not worth it, at least I announced my bank
Right away and they will get my refund, this company is a joke.
