App confirmed I couldn't book a flight, still charged me for it, and then charged me again once I went back through the app to process the order that I thought it kicked me out of. Reached out to support, WON'T GIVE ME A FULL REFUND! Was the apps fault for not confirming my order and then charging me twice. Extremely disappointed in the apps functionality and customer service's inability to provide a refund.

Just dont use it.

Unless you know your future 100%, dont ever use it because once you give them money, there is no way to get your money back. Even if you purchase refund protection, they won't help you. They charge you $9 for vip support, which means if you dont pay them $9 and $ 5 tip (this seems just weird.) they dont help you regardless. I feel like this type of company shouldnt thrive. They are very up-front about their greediness. I'm about to throw away my $400 because i made a mistake of using this sh**ty company.

I booked some flights and they took the money out of my account and I have not received confirmation nor my tickets. I cannot get anywhere as to talking to someone on the phone. The app is so useless! I am so upset! I will never use them again. I feel ashamed and stupid!

Worst experience
March 3, 2022

I have a very bad experience with redeeming my travel credit. Still, now I did not get my refund or travel credit. They suggest buying $3000(economy and long layover) whereas the same ticket is available for $1600 on their own website. I will never use their website to buy tickets in the future and I will not suggest to anyone either.

Do not use! Unbelievably horrible

We booked a flight with Hopper from Toronto to Orlando. When we get to the airport they say there are no flights today to Orlando. After reaching out to the airline we found out they had rescheduled the flight to the day before and Hopper did NOT notify us in any form. When we contacted Hopper they took absolutely zero accountability and gave us the run-around. They did not re-book us for a new flight upon request even though we were at zero fault and needed to fly out ASAP so that our covid tests were still valid. They had us on hold for hours leaving us no choice but to cancel the whole flight. Their representatives kept saying they were "on hold" with the airline but we were able to reach them multiple times so that was a lie to just stall time. Even the airline said "sounds like Hopper is just making excuses." You can bet getting reimbursed by these scammers is going to be another nightmare for us. Please do not ever use Hopper, just use the app and then book with the airline directly. Only Hopper had our contact info to notify us, the airline would have had no way.

Hopper + Hertz left me literally stranded
March 2, 2022

I booked and paid in full a Hertz rental car. When I arrived to pick up, I was advised they would not give me my rental because I did not fly into the city. Hopper and Hertz are now pointing their grimy fingers at each other and yet I had to spend an extra $500 to get home. Neither have issued me a refund

Avoid price freeze!

The price freeze option is definitely a way to get peoples money. I will acknowledge I forgot to go back and book flight, but when I asked if hopper would work with me, they said there was nothing they could do. I don't find that acceptable. Offer me some insurance or something! I didn't ask for my money back. Just work with me and keep the money. I've deleted the hopper app and will tell everyone I know not to use them. $432 is a lot of money to just say "sorry, nothing I can do for you".

Flight Change? You don't want Hopper.

I had a flight change initiated by the airline. Hopper emailed me and said that I had 24 hours to respond. Respond to what? What are my options? 24 hours passed and I receive a confirmed email that I'm spending the night in Miami at my expense after booking a first class non stop ticket for 4. I emailed and emailed them. I tried to call - whatever - impossible. Canadian company. No response. It is now 42 hours since my first email and there are 4 seats left on the flight I want. Of course. American can make the change for $50 per ticket but no charge if Hopper will respond. So I wish I would have booked direct with American. This is such a waste of time. They are completely understaffed. Book direct!

So they finally read my request and adjusted our flights. Fortunately, the four seats we needed weren't taken by others after 47 hours of no response from Hopper. The emails from Hopper were very apologetic for the wait but I will still book direct next time.

Froze a room, after 2 weeks went to book and the room not available. No way to cancel on the app. Lost 45.00 deposit even though it said I could cancel before March 28th. This is a total scam do not use.

Too many bad experiences to count. Horrible customer support. DO NOT PURCHASE A HOTEL THROUGH THIS APP. They will show you a price and double charge you for another. Beware! Then, they will not give a refund if it's their mistake, i. E, algorithm error. Oh, I also purchased a ticket which I received a refund. They did not send me the correct info and I was left stranded at the airport in another state. I emailed them, but they totally stopped communication with me. THEY LEFT ME STRANDED! DID NOT CARE! And you'll NEVER talk to anyone live. Also, don't try to contact Headquarters. It's non-existent. Hopper Suuuucks!

Absolute scammers.

All their followers on social media are fake. If you look at their comments you will see millions of people being scammed in addition to other people having the same outcome of not being properly refunded. They claim they have a clear policy which is false and their customer service just fails

I booked a room through "hopper" for Las Vegas this weekend and rates were at 100% inflation, due to the three day weekend and car shows going on. Also, it was 02/22/22. The perfect day to get married at the marriage capital! Right, at least you would think. Not. This site is a joke and has no potential.

Well, my friend told me about this trash app that has better rates then other sites, which turned out to be a total scam "hopper". The price freeze thing is a scam, the night before the freeze was set to expire and after paying my deposit of $130.02 "to FREEZE THE PRICE", the amount due went from $350.00 to $1,100.00. The scam said that I maxed out of savings at $300 and that $850.00 was the new total due at that time.

I was livid. Now, all of the rooms were about $1,000.00 dollars a night and almost all sold out, and because I waited until the last minute thinking that my price was locked in, I got stuck paying the higher rates through the actual resort. Everything was going up by the second and the piece of crap scam trash site, "hopper" didn't help in fact it made things worse. "Carrot Cash" is also a LOL.

I then had to book a room directly through the resort, which I recommend doing anyway, because although it was a bit more expensive, it was truly the better deal. All fees, taxes and deposits are up front. Unlike "h*%$&@", unprofessional NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HELPLINE, Joke of a business, piece of scam. You still end up paying the same price but more on "ho&$%#" because they take their cut and you are still responsible for all other fees at check in.

I would never recommend this website to anyone. Please spend the extra cents on your reservation just to have a piece of mind. All of the "book cheaper sites" are all out to get money, as a third party service, but this one has taken the cake and my money.

Think about it, when has any customer service that you have ever spoken to, says to you that in order to resolve an issue, you should "DM THEM ON TWITTER" ummmmmm no.

Currently disputing with my Credit Card Bank. They are so lucky I didn't pay with my Chase account because I would have had my money back. I hope this place goes down burning. Wherever it is (eye roll) " just trashy".

Misleading and unethical

They offered a price freeze but did not clearly mention that it is non refundable. They buried it in their terms and conditions. Their customer service is not helpful at all and they just reiterate the terms and conditions. They are ok for info but don't buy anything from them

Misleading and ridiculous

It's written that they will pay up to $100 price difference for any price freeze that increases on the flight during your 3 day freeze. What they don't tell you is that they increase the price while you're booking the frozen flight. If you hit the back button to go back and look at prior field, they make you start over and increase the price each time. And they still don't cover the "$100 difference" in the price breakdown at the end. Scam. Oh, and customer support just ended a chat before answering all my questions about it. Crappy service, will never recommend this app.

A Scam they shouldn't be in business

I paid for hotel service through hopper, once I got to the location, the credit card they used to book my room declined and I was never able to reach anyone. On the hotel end Hopper is through Priceline and no one from Priceline could explain, and I couldn't not reach anyone for support. It's a scam and a rip off. I had to pay out of pocket again to get my room. Hopper is a rip off, trying to get you to purchase all of the services that they don't offer like customers support when they screw up.

My family and I booked four tickets to Portugal that were inevitably cancelled due to Covid. Hopper has yet to refund us our $2,729. It's impossible to get anything accomplished with this company.

I went off my tracked flights and saw a price for my trip that I wanted to lock in. I did so and confirmed the dates were correct. I didn't however notice the destination was wrong. The weird thing was it wasn't a destination I would have watched at all. When I realized my mistake immediately I tried to contact them. The answer I got was too bad as the price freeze is non refundable. I mentioned it wasn't a flight I was tracking and I went off my tracked flights when searching for prices, but that didn't matter. So, I decided to investigate more. Every flight you look up, even incorrect ones, get tracked. So, when looking at saved searches it may not be the one you want. I am hoping my bank can help me tomorrow since support refused. Lesson learned. Always go directly through the airline. I have nothing but bad luck with online travel agencies like this. Side note: if you can't find a support number immediately for a company, run away. They don't want you to contact them for a reason.

I would give zero stars if I could. I used the price freeze feature - and the first thing I am going to do here is admit it was my fault. I made a mistake. I thought that after 20 days the flight was automatically purchased at the lowest price. Turns out you have to manually do it within 20 days. I missed the deadline by 12 hours and reached out. That's how this story starts.

After reviewing my account they said "We're sorry, but you're screwed." - All I'm looking for at this point is for the $144 I spent with Hopper already to be applied to the new ticket prices (which are $140 mor PER TICKET for 2 tickets) - and I am gonna eat the cost, I know it was my fault for not reading it right.

In my defense, there are ZERO reminders sent. You get a confirmation of the price freeze when you book it, then NOT ONE SINGLE CORRESPONDENCE for the entire 20 days. It is set up for people to forget and for Hopper to do what they did to me and basically steal the money. Because were they even willing to credit that $144 I spent with them to these new expensive tickets? NO! Too bad they said. That's policy. Better luck next time and we hope you'll try it again when it better suits your travel needs. Are you kidding me?!?!?

Overall one of the worst customer service experiences ever. Anne who was the rep talking to me was completely unhelpful and adamant that the team could do NOTHING to make sure I had a good experience. They could only take my $144 deposit, and then charge me full price, $140 more per ticket in addition to taking my deposit, and that was just policy. Sorry.

Well I am sorry to say I will never use Hopper again, and I will encourage anyone reading this and all of my friends and family to never, ever use this company.

Never use Hopper

Worst app ever. Can't make it work. Blew up my phone. There is no way at all to contact customer service. If you make a reservation using your computer, you can't access it on the app, but you can't do anything on the computer either. Over $300 down the drain because of this lousy site.
