Ive save by watching and following the hopper advices, o had to cancel once and they refund me every cent, I highly recommend this app.

I paid $5 per ticket to freeze' a price on 2 tickets. When I went to book, well before the expiration of the freeze, I was told there was no longer availability on the flight, despite the app saying there were 6 seats still available. VERY misleading. Had I known this could have happened and my tickets were not actually on hold, I would have just purchased them outright. Now I can't afford to go on my trip because the flight cost has tripled and I'm also out $10. Customer support is also very poor to non-existent. There is no phone number to call nor no live chat, just an email saying they will get back to you (via email) in several hours.

Day 1: asked to change a flight - they gave me the price of $268. I asked to place the order. They told me I would see a confirmation in my email.
Day 2: after not receiving confirmation, I pinged them. Another agent responded after 3 hours from the ping saying "sorry" and pointing out to the fact that the airline fee had went up and now I needed to pay almost $600 for the change. The agent also asked me to rush to give an answer if I wanted to make the change.
I then asked details on why the order I had placed the day before had not been executed. - the agent didn't reply.
I asked to connect me with the manager - the agent didn't reply.
I then called the airline directly myself and they changed my flight for $269 including penalty fee.
I then wrote to the agent giving details of my call with the airline and saying that Hopper service had been totally useless and giving me the wrong price.
The agent responded immediately this time "I'm sorry"

I have gotten 3 notifications today telling me about flights for a trip that I'm not taking anymore. It seems there is no way to tell you that I'm not interested anymore and to stop sending me notifications aside from turning notifications off completely.

Obviously this defeats the purpose of your app and I think that's the point of this behavior. I have very strong negative feelings for developers that hold their users as notification hostages. I know it's a business-based and not a user-experience decision. Please don't do this.

They unscrupulous they will double charge if you don't check. They will reverse and return the money but they haven't returned the 2nd charge on the insurance of $86! I disputed this in Apple card. Hopper communicates by instant messaging no live phone conversation! Beware they are thieves!
This app should be shut down by Apple.

I got a canned developer response! Look at the previous responses to the other user's complaints!!!!
I got my money back on the worthless insurance from AON - Nationwide Insurance.

A lot of times flights are actually cheaper if you look on google flights. This is a great tool for seeing easily what days are cheaper but I always book directly with the airline now. Hoppers customer service doesn't reply for at least a day almost every time I've contacted them and it is only through text they don't offer any real on the phone communication. You are not allowed to resolve issues with your airline by calling them because hopper has to handle all issues before the day of.

I have always taken hopper with a grain of salt. I know that prices can change in a drop of a dime. Purchasing flights is a frustrating process. I have had success but more times I find this not to be too accurate.
My issue comes from the "Freeze" portion. Which is advertised as holding your tickets for 48 hours with a $5 dollar per person fee. I got notification that my flight went down and immediately went to buy but when presented with the freeze option I felt it better to hold off on purchasing because I needed to double check with everyone flying that they were okay with me buying the tickets (it was still early hours with most people sleeping). I purchased the five dollar freeze per person. Well that was a horrible idea. While waiting for everyone to respond I started to second guess if the price would go up. I went and googled and saw from Hopper's website that they will charge you the difference of the ticket prices go up. So now I'm like what the heck. I go back try to purchase and they say they do not have enough tickets at that price. After several tries I was able to buy the tickets for $100 more than originally price when I "Froze" it an hour earlier. Absolutely livid. They should make it known that they are not holding your price or reserving the price for you. Such false advertisement. I also am not sure if they refunded the $5 pp fee or if it got added to my flight price. I will make sure to double check.

I have a cruise planned for November, that I booked in May. Airfare was $300+ per person in May. Hopper told me I should wait to book because I can get a better deal, well here we are a few weeks before our trip and I just scored airfare for 147$ PER PERSON!

I've a booked a flight ticket through the Hopper app and cancelled it within few minutes and showed as cancelled in the airline website however Hopper charged me and didn't refund the amount even after 10 days. Im trying to contact them ever since and the options they have to contact support are ridiculous as they'll decide if I've a option to contact them or not under the airlines confirmation. Not recommended, waste of time and Money going through it.

My Travel Saver

I can't say enough for this company. If I can put 10 stars, I would. From my travels out of the country several times, to my emergency flight change, they were there to work with me. My last travel was from last year, May 26-June 26 in Canada. Towards the last week of my stay with my aunt and uncle I was feeling so much pain in my lower abdomen that I needed to go back asap. Hopper worked with me to get the earliest flight back. As soon as I got back to the US, i went straight to ER and it is a good thing. I had a child-size-head mass pressing inside my ovaries that they had to do immediate surgery. Suffice it to say, i made it. Now, I just purchased a ticket for my husband to go on vacation and it was a breeze. Thank you Hopper for making my travel schedule easy and convenient!

Hopper has helped me watch flights and best time to buy! I got direct flights for $254! I also like the refund option just in case! It was easy to buy through the app. It would be even better if I could use PayPal, but that's ok! Thanks!

I. booked a flight that was changed to a low cost carrier. I have been trying for 3 days to contact customer service to change my flight. The bot says I would hear back in a few hours. It's been 72 hours. You can use the app to choose travel dates but don't book anything through them. TERRIBLE!

Don't use

Tree months ago, hopper told me to wait on purchasing a flight that at the time cost 1400.00. Every time I checked, the price kept going up, and finally today, at 2000, it told me this is the best price hopper just cost me a lot of money.
