Home Depot's reputation is marked by a mix of positive and negative customer experiences. Many customers appreciate the wide selection of products and the knowledgeable staff, which contribute to a convenient shopping experience. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly related to installation issues, return policies, and delayed deliveries. Customers frequently report dissatisfaction with the handling of complaints and a perceived lack of support, leading to frustration and a sense of being undervalued. Overall, while the company offers a robust product range, its customer service approach appears inconsistent, impacting overall satisfaction.

I love home depot. The site is very convenient and easy to use. It is a great home improvement store. Most frequently, I use it for buying cleaning products. They have a great selection at an affordable price.
We had a very positive experience buying from them.
I have ordered several things from HD.com and have enjoyed every experience. Its nice to order and have it delivered to my doorstep.
The website is so slow it take 20 minutes for a web page to load
I ordered my hard wood floors and had them delivered. It was Free Shipping so I figured why not just have the heavy flooring delivered to my door! Delivery was quick and I loved the floors!
My experiences with Home Depot are varied. Like most big box stores, the happiest customers are going to be those that can go in, grab the stuff they need, pay and leave. When you need service then all bets are off. I am building a house so I am a building supply regular, but the pro-desk is where I run into problems. I work full-time and often can't get to the store until 4:30. When I started building, I came in with a material list I wanted a quote on. I was told the pro-guy just left I needed to go to the service desk. I went to the service desk and was told I would have to come back when the pro-desk guy was there. So, I took my $16,000 sale to a lumber yard. I figured if they couldn't handle a piece of paper, they couldn't handle my lumber. Flash forward to last week. I tried the new pay on-line/pick-up in store service. Ordered a water heater and install parts. Rec'd confirmation order was ready. Go to store and park by pro-desk door so I can load up and go. Walk in, see my order but the cashier (not currently serving any customers) tells me I have to go to the other end of the store to get my order (customer service desk again). Walk down there, hand them my confirmation e-mail and tell them i want to pick up my order. Now the waiting starts. The clerk doesn't seem to know how to operate the computer, then calls for someone in plumbing, then tries to get them to pick the order... eventually I sign my paperwork and can go back to the other end of the store to get my merchandise. It would have taken much less time to get merchandise myself, pay and leave.
If you regularly shop at Home Depot, you will probably get to know some of the employees and they can be very helpful. The department with the employees that have helped me the most would have to be plumbing, with electrical coming in a close second. I would recommend trying to shop weekdays and when they are less busy to get the best customer service.

Love the depot and if you wait you can get free ship sometimes
I really appreciate that you can order many things not available in the actual stores on the site, but must say navigation on the site is sometimes confusing.
Overall though good shopping experience.
I have not had any issue with shopping online with Homedepot.com, and the customer service was very good. I ordered online only available items and had them shipped directly to me with out a big issue. Just a little dirt on one item and hd took care of it right away. I was just a little mad that I did not get the best sale price on my item, I missed a huge sale by two days. Frequent visits to the site is necessary to keep up with sale prices. I have any good results ordering online and picking up items in store. Homedepot has been a go to site for my household needs, and I hope they keep up the good work.
Great site. I get things for my home here all the time. Just love the selection. Shipping is practically instant also. Can't go wrong with that. Definitely recommend them.
I've ordered major appliances from them and they are great. Ordered a gas range a refrigerator and washer and dryer. You have to shop around for a while online check every so often to really come up on a deal, they usually always have 10% off with fliers but they always have it with their credit card and you get 6-12 months interest free if paid off by the end of that period. And also get free haul away of your old appliance and sometimes free shipping.
This store is really getting on my nerves. I never get anyone who can help me. No one wearing an orange apron knows where anything is. I always need to ask a manager. The site is better, but most of the things i try to buy are out of stock or must be picked up at the store. The store has the same problem. When ever I do a project there is always one thing missing at the store i am at and i need to travel to a different one. I like Lowe's
Where can you look for all the items available in the Home Depot inventory?
HomeDepot.com, that's where. Add to the ability to check inventory, check what store in your area HAS the item you're looking for... See some items available only through the website... Here's something you're going to NOT see in other places. NEED the MSDS (Material Data Safety Sheet) for an item you're buying at Home Depot for OHSA right to know requirements? HomeDepot.com has them for almost every item they sell (well, if it has and MSDS that is...). The site is easy to navigate and useful in chasing items I might not be sure they have, saves a lot of driving store to store... Like the yellow pages used to say, "Let your fingers do the walking"...
Answer: Hi Betty, you can also return without receipt if you purchased using your credit card. Give them the same CC and they can tell the price you bought at.
