Was charged over $230 in "service fees" which are non refundable. The fees were more than a single night in this case. The website is made to spoof other hotel websites, and the fees are not disclosed until after booking. DO NOT USE THIS BOOKING AGENCY! THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FAKE!
The website was misleading. With the hotel name and logo on the top, you will get the impression that you are directly dealing with the hotel Guest Reservation Office. It's completely a rip-off. They published a very low hotel room price with free breakfast. But you will end up being charged with lots of other fees with no breakfast (Resort fee but it is not a resort, Service fees, etc.) Surprisingly you will be billed on USD currency. Not on the local currency of the country you are in. A complete deception. Tell others so they will not fall prey with this unscrupulous act.

The worse experience I have ever had booking a hotel. Cost was $100 more that booking on the actual hotel website. Then they won't even let you cancel. They also charge my credit card twice. Spent hours canceling extra charges. Customer service people are nice but difficult to understand at times and keep repeating the same thing but offer no solutions.
Kathryn, we’re sorry you had that experience. Customer satisfaction is our priority, and we would like to help. To keep your information secure, please DM us your reservation # and we will respond with the next steps. Thank you.
Absolutely a scam, stay away! Charges you 40% service fee! Customer service line took 1 Hour, then they hung up on me. Pure fraud!
Hi Andreas, we are sorry you had this experience. Just like when you book through a hotel directly, Guest Reservations must charge its customers for all applicable taxes, including any hotel taxes. Additionally, by charging a service fee for all of its reservations, we are able to offer 24/7 customer support and operate as an independent travel network. Guest Reservations conspicuously discloses all fees and taxes on its checkout summary webpage, asking customers to check a box acknowledging these before they enter their payment information. Despite our transparency, we remain concerned about your experience. Please provide us your reservation # and the email address used at purchase and we will respond with the next steps. Thank you.
Hidden fees up to $200! No refunds! Better off booking direct with the hotel! Terrible company and customer service. Stay away.

Hi Todd, Guest ReservationsTM is an independent third-party travel network offering reservations at over 100,000 hotels. We are not affiliated with Holiday Inn. To speak to someone regarding your experience, please contact Holiday Inn directly. Thank you.
I thought I was booking through Marriott but instead it was this Guest Reservations company. My credit card declined so I entered again, it declined again. Then I received a notification from AmEx that I had two charges for $323 for the hotel. 1st problem is that the hotel supposedly was $214, not $323.2nd problem is that I have NOT received a confirmation for a hotel room. I first called AmEx and they said I have to call the company so I called the company and the only way I can get someone to answer is if I say I want to book a hotel room, since I have an issue they transfer me to customer service in which no one answers. This company is a SCAM, stay away.

GuesReservation add 40% tax, charges and service fee to the initial amount that are not shown properly when you enter your Credit Card. I called then immédiatly to cancel, what they refused, and propose me instead a 50% off (to lower fee to 20%). They are using of deception, i would say fraud.
The other acarctéristic is that they use a domain name prefixed with the name of the hotel. namafohotel.guestreservations.com so that you believe that you are directly on the hotel website.
I called the hotel and the reservation exist, via booking.com. They use booking.com API to book, i dont know of booking is involved in this fraud or at least use of deception.

This website is a scam. No where before I booked did I receive information about additional fees and then was charged almost $100 in additional fees and the charge is nonrefundable. It is a $40 tax and fee difference in hotels.com so please book there or call the hotel directly.

I accidently booked through them, as their booking system was misleading and false. Said I would get a refund, but nothing has arrived, and I am still chasing up. Did not say it was in American dollars. The booking ended up being double what it would have been booking through a NZ site. Booking cancelled within 10 minutes and still wanted to charge $200 admin fees.

I was in a hurry booking a hotel reservation and thought I was on the hotel's website. I only realized that wasn't the case AFTER I made the reservation -- and noted that it was nearly $50 higher than it should have been. They charged that ridiculously high fee for booking the room (which would have been FREE through the hotel's website)... and I will lose that money if I have to cancel the reservation for any reason. BEWARE! I will never make this mistake again. This company is a scam!

Don't assume you're saving anything by booking through Guest Reservations. Our charge was higher than if booked directly with the motel. The small print says tax fees are "estimated" and "the balance of the charge is the fee we retain as part of the compensation... for our services." Not recommended.

My experience was the same as many other negative reviews. Price quoted $90. Price charged $138. Immediately called, told it was a booking fee, told I couldn't cancel even though I had placed the order five minutes before. Also told they said on their site that I couldn't cancel which was not true because I went back and searched to see what I had missed. Their site address is misleading and suckered me and many others in.

Needed to change reservation or cancel 15 days prior to booked stay. Hotel approved cancelation but Guest Reservation and Getaroom would no oblige. They. Need there $700 so bad they would not lend a finger to help with trying to change dates or cancel. Do not take a chance with these 2 3rd party crooks
Hi Jay, our customer support agents are committed to your satisfaction. So we can securely look into this, please private message/DM us your reservation number, email address, and name the reservation was made under. Thank you.
This website is a rip off! Shows you good price at the start and gives you huge bill after you pay! There some fees apply but you cant see them before you pay. There is no such thing like transaction summary before you pay. You just type in your credit card details and they charge you what they want. I noticed that the room that I wanted is a bit cheaper than on Booking.com but after I paid I got a bill approx 20% higher than on Booking.com and 40% higher than the price I have clicked. Thank God I booked only one night. I've seen people that got ripped for serious amounts by then. Their answer is always same copy/paste one: "Hi YOUR NAME, we are sorry you had this experience. Just like when you book through a hotel directly, Guest Reservations must charge its customers for all applicable taxes, including any hotel taxes. Additionally, by charging a service fee for all of its reservations, we are able to offer 24/7 customer support and operate as an independent travel network. Hi Marcin, we understand and we want to help resolve your concerns. To keep your account secure, please send us your reservation number (beginning with ‘R’), email address, and the name the reservation was made under in a private or direct message. Thank you.
I was a bit hesitant to use guest reservations because I thought the deal was maybe too good to be true. My husband and I stayed at a beautiful resort in Palm Desert at a whopping 50% off what the resort was looking to charge. I was blown away how much money we saved and what a wonderful trip it was. I will definitely be using guest reservations for all my vacations in the future. Couldn't recommend more!
This company will scam you by adding extra fees!
My rate was $137 and they charged $70.00 extra- there is no way the tax is this much. They said they charge a fee for parking and mini bar( which hotel does not charge, I asked hotel and they said they never charge for parking and they have no mini bar)
Rip off!

This is scam company that adds a 35% charge to your hotel booking fee without telling you. They pretend to be a hotel but they are a 3rd Party. You cannot get a refund as their process is convoluted. I have forwarded the case to the authorities. Please never ever book a single thing from this scam business.

After looking at all of the fees I noticed after confirming that there was a fee of 2918. 00, after subtracting the actual taxes I would have paid that left an 1800. 00 fee for booking. I can not believe this site exists and has not been shut down. I am 6 months out and unable to cancel without a penalty of 2 nights ( 4K as they include their fee and put it into the deposit). They did offer a 10% discount that would be refunded AFTER I checked out. Leaving 1100. 00 for their booking fee. They would not refund prior to the stay, even though I have paid in full. I am still waiting on the confirmation Email on that. I realize this is on me as I pressed Confirm... so sad and such a complete waste of money. I only hope that I can help others from falling for this scam.
