I thought I was booking directly through the hotels website which had the same rate but much cheaper taxes/fees than Guest Reservations. This website is very sneaky and we did not know we were booking a non refundable room while the hotel has a 2 day cancellation policy. Terrible customer service and nontranspareny. Rates are not cheaper.
Wife and I booked a hotel stay through this site. Was drawn in by the discount prices but ended up paying a 100.27$ service fee basically to use their website. Because is was so close to 100$ we assumed it was a deposit but it was not. We received the email confirmation (the day after our stay) so I called up the company to get an answer as to why the service fee was so large and they listed a long drawn out answer that basically amounted to because we decided to. I asked point blank " so basically you charged us a 100$ to use your website" and the customer service agent meekly replied "yes". I asked if there is anything we could do and he said "nothing on their end". Please save yourself the hassle and do not book with this company.

DO NOT under any circumstances use this company, "Guest Reservations". Total scam! We had an emergency and had just booked a reservation and then had more than 24 hours to cancel and they would not refund our money back.

The stay was ok, nothing special, and the room had a bit of a humid smell, but ok for 1 night. Then I was charged 2 times on my card (as per screenshot attached). When calling them to understand what were the 2 charges, they said 1 was a no-show because I didn't show up until midnight. Since I checked in after midnight they charged me a no-show and then a new charge as a new reservation, which is absurd, as I only slept there 1 night and checked out the following day before 11am. Tried sending them messages, emails and calling with no response. When they did respond after several tries, they provided the above 'explanation' and never offered to refund the no-show charge, since I actually showed up. Thankfully I booked this stay through Booking.com and their customer service was able to help me. If I depended on the hotel for help, I would never get anywhere and lose this money.

Extortionate fees are hidden and charged only after you have processed the payment through your credit card! Guest reservations do not mention these charges at all until it is too late. How this company are allowed to legally trade is beyond comprehension. Avoid like the plague!

We stayed in Simi Valley, Ca. Never again. Bureau looked like it was bought at a garage sale. Wall was scarred to almost the wood. The bathroom door and frame needed painted. One little bar of soap. No shampoo. Continental Breakfast consisted of coffee tea hot chocolate, and granola bars. Granola bars, really? Desk help were cordial not really friendly.

I booked for the wrong dates. I visited hotel in person to ensure all was well. I was assured all was well and that the reservation was cancelled ( for 2 months down the road). I saw that I was charged for the room (even though I had cancelled and it was clear I was not in the room). I called and they refused to offer me a refund. That is BAD customer service. I will never stay here.

Don't recommend this service. Go directly to hotel website. Looking for a hotel in Santa Barbara, I used their site. The rates were fair and included a note saying "free cancellation before x date". I processed the payment after which I received a bill for double the published rate. It included a "tax recovery and services fee" that was higher than the room rates. I called to cancel and was informed the reservation was non-refundable even though I was calling a day before the deadmen for cancellations.

Pur card was charged fraudulently and they would not refund the money. We are hundreds of miles away and never went or have want to go to the location of the destination. They hung up on us repeatedly. I am getting authorities involved because they refuse to now answer the phone. Seems like a scam site to me. Hope everyone follows.

I accidentally booked through this business. I wasn't watching well and it was the first thing to come up on the internet. What a scam. $450 in service fees. Also, we had to cancel due to illness and they won't give me a refund. I am out $1,500. Be careful. Book directly with a hotel. A bunch of scammers.

Disgraceful. This hotel cancelled with only two days notice a big booking for a non political gathering of gentle learned people meeting to discuss innovative ideas for modern life. The group was not party political nor affiliated with any particular cause. They were of no particular belief or slant. People had booked flights, trains, babysitters, work cover, dog care, etc. Organizers had spent large sums printing and publishing relevant materials. Families made arrangements to see each other. Speakers turned down other bookings. The attendees would have been an asset to the hotel and the area. What a wicked thing to do for no reason.

After staying at this hotel four times previously, I was looking forward to this stay
The room we were given was in the dirtiest part of the entire place
Went into bathroom and there was mold on the ceiling. Also the fan was loaded with dirt
We were told there were no other rooms available. In the morning we could have switched to a different room but we had unpacked and didn't really want to pack up and move.
First got there and it was 7:00 pm restaurant closed at 8:00 but the outside bartender was able to help. We were grateful.
Walking to the pool was interesting. As dirty linens were piled up on the sidewalk. Huge loads of dirty linens.
Next morning day 2 my sister started getting places on her leg. We were trying to figure out what was going on. She has bites on her legs. Day three we ask for toilet paper was told by housekeeping they can't give it to us but we needed to go to front desk to get it. So that's what we did. The clerk said that we could get it from housekeeping. I said nope they said we had to get it from front desk.
By now my sister's legs are getting worse. We leave in the morning. I called and they said they would check it out to.make sure no bugs. Which they said there weren't any. Supposed to send report to me. Didn't get it
I talked with front desk and she said there was another person that said the same thing. But the manager said we didn't tell them so we had to pay full price.
I said we were paying for a great hotel and this place was filthy and
Understaffed.
Such a disappointment.
Still not sure what the bites are all over my sisters legs.

The worse place I've ever spent the night
Front desk was a lazy and unwelcoming person
There were people behaving like criminals in the room next door, knocking other guests the doors, making noise in the aisle, slamming their's room door, screaming and shouting over night and anyone from front desk took any action.

I stayed at your hotel from October 18th to October 22nd. I sent an email several times and it came back
The inquiry is that I have not yet received payment for the hotel fee.
I paid an additional $100 at check-in and was told it would be settled a week later, but I only received a receipt.
