I googled a specific hotel and the top result had the hotel name followed by guest reservation.com I thought i was booking direct. The room rate was advertised as £229. The next screen had a 10 minute timer to suggest I had to enter all me details to get this rate. The confirmation button was directly below my details. If I had scrolled down I would have seen the price had jumped to £457.! I only knew the price when I checked my credit card. I rang the hotel and was told the booking had been made via Expedia at a rate of £271.After looking back at the website I realized I should have noticed it was a travel network. I tried to contact Guest reservation on a Saturday but I could not get past the automated service to a person. In frustration I cancelled.! The reservation was made as non refundable. I used the contact us page twice and got zero replies, I eventually called and was told there is nothing they can do... I asked if they could reinstate the reservation, as they have the money why not use some of it to re-book the room. But now I am £457 out of pocket and have nothing to show for it. The way the site is designed, the countdown timer (which i think is illegal in UK, EU and US) the location of the confirmation button on purpose above the final total are misleading.
Update to the review. A few days after reviews being posted I was contacted by Guest Reservations and given a full refund.!
It's ridiculous that they can over charge so much just for using this third party online booking system. Cost me almost 100 bucks more just because I booked online with guest reservations and not over the phone with my hotel.

I checked into the Hampton Inn and suites in Alexandria, Virginia on Thursday, January 18. I was unpleasantly surprised to find out that they are going to charge me $75 a day on top of the $589 that I spent for three nights at this hotel. They said the $75 a day is for incidentals. I have no pets, there is no mini bar and nothing in this room is worth stealing. Why are you charging me $75 a day extra? That was $225 that I was not planning on spending on this hotel that I could've used on my trip sightseeing. Nowhere on any of your literature or online does it say you charge a $75 a day incidental fee. I will not be staying at this hotel ever again. The only reason I gave it two stars is because it is clean, the staff is very friendly and it's not their fault that the corporation is a bunch of greedy aholes.

I had an awful experience with the person in charge of what they call a Reception Desk at Wyndham Garden at Fort Lauderdale. A sick person, really sadistic, that refused to go to my room. It's a long long history but please, avoid this experience!

September stayed 1 night, physically went in asked for 1 room and was billed for 3, disputed the 2 extra room charges and my credit card credited my account, then got charged again for the 2 extra rooms. Will dispute it again. This company will never get my business again and I will be sure to tell anyone who will listen never to use Wyndom hotels/motels

My confirmation email from this company said I would be charged CA648.07 to stay at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Toronto. Another email I received said I would be charged in Canadian dollars. However, if you scroll to the bottom of the fine print, they charge you the US exchange rate so I was charged over $880.00 Canadian dollars for one night…and I still had to pay more for parking.

This website seems to be a fraud!
I made a reservation, I received the charge in my credit card but no reservation/confirmation number was received.
There is no way to contact someone to help (by emal or phone).
The charge received in my credit card looks like was made to the hotel considered in my reservation. The hotel is not affiliated at Guest Reservations and they don't know this platform.

Email reciept said $189.? But my bank statement said $268.68. My email copy of the receipt should reflect the total not the total before they scammed me!

I recently booked the Conrad Nashville with you. They quoted the night stay at $240. That was a good rate so I booked. They next ask for credit card info with no disclosed total for the stay. After reserving I get an immediate confirmation showing taxes at over 60%. Hotel taxes there are 28%. The reservation was non refundable. I felt they were misleading.Furthermore I booked a king room and upon arrival was checked into a double room with no kings available. I will not use them again. I could have booked anywhere for less total bottom line.

I spent 4 nights at this hotel. It's cozy and pleasant and has real good vibes. The staff are super helpful and just pleasant to talk to. I'd like to mention Alicia in particular because she was very sweet and super friendly, the rest too. I will definitely stay here again.

I was surprised at the approximately $600 of additional fees added to the reservation cost. DO NOT USE THIS SITE TO MAKE HOTEL RESERVATIONS. Be sure you are on the hotel website when making a reservation as Guest Reservations appears to be the hotel website.

This site makes it's money by spoofing the actual hotel site and uses the same pictures as the actual hotel as well as their verbage. In any other context this would be a SCAM. May criminal charges rain down upon the fraudsters. They charge hundreds $100"s of dollars over what the hotel charges. If I could let all know about this without leaving a star I would
