Using the clock on the calendar is time consuming having to to cscroll up/down to adjst time by hour and minute. Better to have like other companies a clock face or boxes with times (eg 12:30,13:00...). One click rather than scroll through the time

I got charged for a stone chip damage, calculated to cost >3.400 CHF.
You can please check for yourselves as the documented damage (right near to the engine grill) is present in the photo.
I will never trust them with a rental in the future.

I was charged $240 for 3 days of toyota corolla insurance. I have an active progressive full coverage policy and was told I could not use it because the limits were too low. Never ever has this happened before. And I was not the only one

I have used Green Motion on many occasions in the last year and the office staff in Manchester have always been extremely helpful in every way, which is why I always book directly with them now There have been a number of issues regarding delays when being picked up at the airport by the shuttle bus but the staff in the office more than make up for this!

I have used Green Motion at Manchester on numerous occasions and the desk staff have always been excellent. No hard sales and deal with the process very promptly. I've had one issue with delays with the inspection staff on returning the vehicle but only once out of 5 occasions, so overall I'm very happy and will continue to use them.

We got to the ports cabin in the dark so had very little time to look at the car hired. Only realized that it was an automatic. That's ok I went with it. I didn't specify what gears should be so maybe that's my fault.
The lady also kept prompting for feedback which was a little annoying.
But overall a good experience. Make sure you ask for what you need in advance.
The car itself was gorgeous and really clean and nippy. If I went to Edinburgh again I'd stay in the city and probably not drive at all.

Hired a car for 8 day tour of Ontario. Vehicle was perfect for our trip (8 seat minivan) and was clean on collection. We extended the hire for one day without any problems. More importantly there was no drama on returning the vehicle - hand over was quick and no problems with additional charges.

Two criticisms - it seems not possible to see if a car has sat nav. Some of the cheaper ones do not and it can be a problem for foreign users using mobile phones.
Last trip i was fined for not paying for the blackwall tunnel. A new charge i had no idea about. Some web information or a quick word in the office about congestion / Ulez/ tunnels /dartford might avoid that for those going to london.

I had a rental in Porto that was supposed to be for 9 days, from 02. 11. 25 to 10. 11. 25. A paid the daily insurance at the desk for just over 500.00 euros plus a 50.00 euro charge for early morning return due to a very early morning flight. Unfortunately, due to a serious incident back home, I had to cut the trip short and ended up returning the vehicle on 06. 11. 25, only using it for 5 days. As soon as I returned home, I reached out twice, via email, to Green Motion Port, to see if they could possibly refund me the outstanding unused daily insurance plus the 50.00 euro charge as I ended up returning the vehicle within opening hours. I didn't even mention the initial car rental charge, just a possible refund for the unused daily insurance and the 50 euros. Green Motion never replied or acknowledged my emails, even if it was to say a refund was not possible, which I find that ignorant and very bad customer service. It has made me feel I will never rent with Green Motion again!

The overall experience was first class from booking, picking up and dropping off the staff were really professional. However to drop was a problem. The final invoice I was charged R146.15 for fuel plus R25 admin fee. This despite filling the tank on the way to the airport, a total of 18km. The fuel amount equates to approx 7 litres to do 18km. I find this charge totally unacceptable as the vehicle must have been used after I dropped it off.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at [email protected]. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
