Green Motion Miami and the general line that is both FLL and Miami have been making rentals tough. I visit for work and doctors a lot. When they refused a rental in the past bc "I rented too many times" they didn't explain what that means and when I called to ask they said that there has to be 25 days between rentals which was odd. I would say that FLL has been amazing. They renting experience has been easy with them. I am still waiting on two refunded from Miami bc they say they don't do it in that location and that refunds are in "Europe." Which is kind of odd to tell a customer when you are denying them a rental. I am happy with all of my FLL experiences tho!

Actual car hire always been very good. However have an issue with the PCN dept which is still ongoing, they do not reply to emails and will not speak to you.

Paid for a golf, astra, or kia and got a c3 that you get on the cheaper package. Could of saved money and got the same car. If it happens again this will be the last time I'll use green motion

I have been using this hire car company for the last 10 year. Originally it was open 7 days a week and the staff were super helpful and friendly. Post pandemic however, I found the staff far less customer service focused and the company had turned into a 'low cost' operation.

The process for picking up the car felt really long and as it was late this was frustrating. Nevertheless, the car was great and returning it was very straightforward. I'd use Green Motion again and as I'm now fully registered with them I hope the pick up will be easier.

I phoned up to amend my booking only to be told I had to email reservations. I did so, explaining my new pick-up date, but received no reply. I called again — no answer — so I sent another email. Still no response. I later checked my spam folder and found all their replies there, only to discover they had cancelled my booking with no refund, even though I had clearly stated my new pick-up date and time.
When I finally got through, the woman I spoke with seemed more focused on proving me wrong about the refund than actually helping me resolve the situation or arrange a new car. There was zero motivation to help a returning customer — just attitude and excuses.
Very disappointing experience. This will be the last time I use this company.

Terrible cooperation, we got car with many demages (seemed from heavy rain) and at return time the man wanted us to pay it. It was about an argue, proofes, photos etc. to leave it there without paying what we did not.

The only negative for me is that it takes a very very long time to get through the pickup process. I checked in online ahead of time and it still took well over 30 minutes to get through the paperwork when arriving at the vehicle.

Pickup is in the airport parking garage. Last time I picked up a car there it was not a bright day and impossible to see any minor damage to the vehicle. As a result, I was charged $230 for a tiny dent on the hood that was really difficult to see in bright light and impossible to see in the parking garage.
I communicated half a dozen times via email about the pickup and inspection process but the only response I got was that the damage wasn't there before and that I was liable.
I have rented from this company many times and I intend to rent many more times, but the way this was handled was really disappointing to me.
I reserved a car for $380 and endedup with a cost of $1100. The scam is on the insurance deal, way more expensive then other companies. They also charge extra $25 more per day if you travel outside the original country. I do not recomend. If the extra cost is acceptable for you, then it can be good, car was clean, very economic due to the very small engine and very new as well.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at [email protected]. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
