Green Motion practise simple economics: they cut out superficial frills by removing themselves from High Street promotions and expensive exposure. For example, at Gatwick, you'll find them in a container in a field in the outskirts of a village to which you're taken by a constantly circulating pick-up minivan. Your car is ready on the spot, with low mileage and in perfect condition. The office managers know their stuff and are extremely pleasant. The return turn-over time is unbeatable. The prices are 60% of their competitors and their information/payment flow is fast and honest.
Once you get over them not being supposed "top drawer" profile, you reap great dividends. We have both confidence and trust in Green Motion and hope it never loses its wonderful ethos!
I hire weekly from GreenMotion Bristol and the service is excellent, cars are always clean and often very new. Straightforward to deal with making frequent travel frictionless.

We booked a car on my sons name when we arrived at the airport he could not get the car due to some credit rating issues if i was not with and booked on my name he would have had a transport issue

The car shown on the website is rarely the one actually provided at the Izmir office. A completely different vehicle is usually given, which is misleading.
When this issue is raised, staff are often unhelpful and do not properly handle complaints. The Izmir office does not meet basic customer service standards and seriously damages trust in the brand.

We didn't realise where the office was when we booked the first time and probably wouldn't have booked if we had but I'm very glad we did. The staff were really lovely and not dogmatic like a lot of car hire places, they were incredibly helpful allowing to get the right size car when it turned out that the one we booked was too small. So we've booked with them again and recommend them to friends.

We had to pay cash for an unused option (second driver) ($210). Although the local manager confirmed that we had paid the amount, it was not possible to refund us the money. I find that unacceptable!

Tak jedna hvězda dolů za vrak, který jsme dostali, místo vymazlene Hyundai I30 mrnava toyota. Omlacena ze všech stran. Musím ale říct, ze nakonec v tamnim provoze (Kréta) jsme za to byli vděční a nebáli se vyjet 🤣 auto bylo spolehlivé, půjčení i vrácení otázka par minut, do 3 dnů peníze zpět. The car was in very good condition and the price the lowest I found. There was a problem with one of the headlights that was treated the same day. People were friendly.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at [email protected]. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
