There was a slight delay in getting the car which was fine as we were not necessarily on a tight time frame. The assistant was very helpful and provided a USB cable of his own to allow for my iPhone to connect to the Car Play function on the car supplied.

Excellent booking and collection/pick up experience.
Regrettably, firstly I had to challenge the fuel charge (corrected after 3 follow ups); then it took more than a battle to get my deposit released.
If you want peace of mind - pay a little more and try somewhere else.

Gentleman in office was very helpful and so were staff upon return. My only criticism is that it is quite away from the airport and the shuttle bus only goes once per hour so if you are not able to coincide with that then either you wait or get a taxi. Taxi cost from airport 16.00. Same for return and that taxi was 24.00... why the difference I do not know! However the rental itself was handled very well, staff all very courteous... as a car hire company I would recommend.

Great though it's very expensive especially when extending the booking, 2days extra cost £271.00 which has made the decision to try another company next time which is a pity.

Bad as you take money from my card and I can't do nothing.Absolutely not fair.If you have to pay for someone else mistake and cannot even prove your point the answer is that we are living in a jungle.
Just to let you know I travel often and use aloth car hire services but not anymore with green motion

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at [email protected]. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
