I got charged with vignette (road tax) claiming it was a small company and their cars were only used in the city of sofia so i payed cause didnt want a fine from local authorities. Three days after that i checked the toll system electronically if the car had a vignette and bingo. The car had anual
Vignette so it was not necesary to pay anything in addition. I am especially bothered because a month ago i booked a car from them, the same person did the paperwork and a vignette was not necesary. I am not a fan of small tricks.

We received free upgrade to a better car AND the overal Experience was very good.
Since the car was not available on the Great driver on our way back.
If there was one thing I would change it would be to have a car immediately on the airport (but we knew this in advance) since it was busy and the first shuttle was full so we had to wait for the second one (+/- 15min)

Everything went smoothly, in the past Green Motion would hassle you to buy their insurance even if you had your own, but thankfully they seem to have stopped doing that, and as a consequence, the whole experience is much more pleasant.

Good car rental service. Although our departure was delayed and delayed till midnight, the staff kindly waited for our arrival and we felt safe and comfortable. For our next visit, we would like to get back to GreenMotion again!

Went to the car park after I landed where I was met by one of the staff. They took us to another parking lot(5 min drive) where all the hire cars were.
Signed some papers and that was it.

Satisfactory, disappointing that you can receive a rental car with no petrol in it. After a tiring journey the last thing you want to do is go find a petrol station.

OK on the rental car, but I am still awaiting a refund of an overcharge Credit Card where they required my wife to use her credit card to make an additional payment (rather than using my credit card on file) and then charging me to add her as a second driver. She never drove the car and I still have not gotten the refund. I will contact them again this week to see what is going on. So all good except a billing error!

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at [email protected]. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
