I bought an airline ticket Salvador - Maputo Order number: LP03ZE on 07/05/2022 (e-Ticket number(s): **************/69 Book. No. UIWBVD Check-in Ref. 3ATIQD(DT), MRYLOE(G3), SMAKVS (LA) Name: Silvia Barbosa) and the company on 07/09/2022 canceled the order due to suspicion of fraud and since then I have been waiting for the refund of the amount paid, I hope they adopt the same agility they had to cancel my ticket without even contacting me. Given the inertia of the agency in not performing the refund with agility. In August I was forced to open a complaint to my bank, because I was without the ticket and with the charge on my credit card bill. The bank has already closed the dispute and made the recovery so now return my money that is not to be used as petty cash. DO NOT USE GOTOGATE!

Customer service is non-existent. Have been chasing a refund for flight cancelled due to Coronavirus for TWO YEARS! Received proof from Aviation Dispute Resolution that Virgin Atlantic refunded GoToGate in July 2020. On 16/08/2022 spoke to Krishpi who promised a supervisor call-back within 72 hours--didn't happen. On 25/08/2022 sent Siddharth screenshot of proof of refund--no response. On 02/09/2022 Sameer promised a supervisor call-back within 24 hours--surprise, surprise, didn't happen. Completely disgusted!

GOTOGATE is a scam

GOTOGATE kept delaying to pay my refund, citing it has to get an issue from the airline first. I then called the airline back in 2021 and received the refund number which sent it to GOTOGATE right away. Until now, still no refund from GOTOGATE, and when asked the answer is the case is closed! I dont think GOTOGATE reserves any star.

I live in Israel. In September 2019 I made a reservation through Gotogate for flights From Tel Aviv to Tromso for February 2020. Flight cost was 1124USD.
When I made the reservation I specifically asked Gotogate for their cancellation policy. On September 9,2019 they sent me an email stating that if I cancel my flight for any reason I am entitled to a full refund minus 175USD airline handling fee and minus 77USD Gotogate's handling fee (per person).
In February 2020 I had to cancel my flight due to the COVID19. After deducting the handling fees from the total amount paid, I expected for a refund of 620USD.
After long correspondence and a lot of phone calls, on July 30,2022 Gotogate sent me an email saying that I am not eligible for any refund because "the airline company says that my tickets are non-refundable". This is absolutely unacceptable, and makes me very angry. How can Gotogate say now that I am not eligible for a refund if I made the booking through them knowing that I AM eligible for a refund? Gotogate should take the responsibility and refund me, even if the airline company refuses refund.
Unfortunately, I can't take Gotogate to court, because they don't have a physical branch here, but I swear I will never ever use their services again, and I urge everybody to do the same.

They have one of the worse customer services I have ever seen. They lie to you when you contact them and intentionally don't complete some of the bookings online and tell you things like it is in a pending state. Wait a 72 hours and it will send confirmation. If you wait any period of time and call them especially if it is on a holiday, their answer is it didn't go through you can rebook, knowing that they have raised the rate at least 60 dollars. And it is an endless loop. Complete incompetent Customer Service!

Save your time and money

I booked a flight for over $1500. 00. They cancelled 2 months later and said they would facilitate the refund for $50. I agreed. Nearly 3 months, several unanswered emails and several long phone calls later I was refunded the flight minus the insurance package and their fee. They told me the $160.00 insurance package cannot transfer to the same trip with a new flight, and its not refundable. I called the insurance provider and they said it is refundable but they need the booking agent to call. Gotogate is refusing to call. How is this even legal? Absolute worst service I have ever had. Seems like a scam. BUYER BEWARE.

Please NEVER book a trip with this TERRIBLE and HORRENDOUS company. I have had not only the worst experience communicating with these people over the phone but over email as well. I was hung up on by someone who didn't want to help me anymore, I was rushed off the phone by an agent who told me that our 12 minute conversation was too long and 3 times before I was even given the opportunity to speak to an agent their automatic waiting system disconnected me at the 3 hour mark. When I was finally able to somewhat solve my problem I was told I would be refunded a certain amount and the following day was sent an email with a smaller amount the agent told me over the phone. PLEASE do not give this company any more business. I read another view about this company during my process of dealing with them that said " Only use this company if you want to bang your head against the wall " and this is exactly how I felt.

I wish I had read the reviews before I booked a flight with them. They said the airlines cancelled the flight and there was no options to re-schedule. They were able to reschedule the flight to another city, for a change fee of nearly $700 and I had to book another flight just to get to my destination. Another $600. Their customer services agents are barely understandable. I would walk whatever distance before I would ever use them again. Read all of the reviews and you will understand my displeasure.

GoToGate Victim

GoToGate is a big liar and did not keep their promise to customer. We were promised 24/48 hours response to our request for a name correction in our booking. It is now 20 days since we first logged the request and 8 days since we paid the additional charge. We were unable to speak to the supervisor or the support team despite many requests. We were promised a return call within 24/48 hours. After 8 days, we didn't hear from them. This morning GoToGate said if we don't want to wait, they would refund the additional charge and not do the name correction in our booking. This is an absolutely nightmare travel agent, extremely unhelpful.

This company should be forced to cease trading. They sell tickets which are not viable. When there is an issue they say they are only a 'mediator'. Then you speak to airlines and they say you need to speak with them! AVOID AVOID

Terrible company

What a terrible company you can not get hold of them I'm on the phone now number 47 in que. Got to speak to someone two days ago they run you round in circles and then they just put the phone down on you. Had to cancel a flight because of covid was happy to take a credit but impossible to use saying swiss air has the money they don't go to con i mean gate has it. Booked through sky scanner as always why they still do business with them i do not know go to gate is the worst company i have ever dealt with BUYER BE AWARE PLEASE DO NOT USE GO TO GATE it is a massive con HAD TA RATE TO SEND IT IS A ZERO

I booked a ticket 2.5yrs ago, I have been chasing a refund ever since - NO JOY Every time you call you have at least 1 hour wait then repeat the same conversation every time. They say one thing on one call and contradict on a another. Last call the refund was being processed call today I still have an open ticket - I said how could I have open ticket when a refund is processed. There is NEVER a supervisor or manager to escalate to - TOTAL SCAM of a company- no email address, no physical address, I'm pretty sure the "helpline" is offshore

I booked through Gotogate for May 2020, Pacific Coastal cancelled my flight due to Covid and told me I would have 36 months to rebook. When I went to rebook, they informed me that Gotogate had received my refund and that I would have to rebook through them. March 24 th I contacted them to rebook. After numerous calls and hours of being on hold, they finally rebooked my ticket on August 17 th. They sent me the details and told me to check it and get back to them. The time they booked does not give me enough time to make my connections, so I called them first thing in the morning to have it changed. They informed at first that the airline did not have earlier flights available. I had checked and there were lots of availability earlier that day, they then transferred me to someone else and was informed that they would not be able to change that flight because the 24 hr change time was up at 4:00 am my time. I again checked with the airline and they claimed that the 24 hrs was up at 13:34 our time. Once again called back to Gotogate and this time asked to speak to a supervisor, I was informed that it was the middle of the night there and supervisors do not work night shifts. Again I was told that I could not change the time of this flight and it is also not refundable. I was tricked into booking through them to start with as I had googled Pacific Coastal and the first websight had Pacific Coastal in capital letters and leads you to believe that is who you are booking with. A hard lesson well learned. Don't make the same mistake.

This company is Scammers they will take your money and will never see it again or get ticket for trip they have very bad customer service and very hard to understand them they are all Indian Accent Just saying sorry and not resolve any problem ending up buying another ticket out of bucket causing me 3000.00 same day!

Held money hostage

Airline cancelled my flight the same day I made the booking. Airline refunded GoToGate and they refused to release it to me until I payed their "assisted fee" of $21/person. Customer rep was terrible, just repeated lines from a script and said no one in the world could ever waive the fee. Had no choice but to pay the fees as they were holding my money hostage. Never ever using this service again. Will report them to BBB.
