Do not trust GOTOGATE
I recently booked a flex ticket with Go to Gate for a total of 771. However, when I tried to change my return date, they wanted to charge me 865, which was more than what I originally paid. Upon further investigation, I found that the cost of booking a new ticket altogether was actually cheaper at 656. To confirm this, I called Go to Gate to inquire about booking a flex ticket, and their representative told me that changing a flex ticket would be cheaper than getting a new ticket. And that was not my case so basically if you call before you book they will try to trick you to pay a flix. I was also disappointed with the customer service I received from Go to Gate, as their representatives were not helpful and even rude at times. Overall, my experience with Go to Gate was negative, and I would caution others against booking with them.

I purchased a business class ticket from Gotogate to Paris in December 2019 for a trip scheduled in April 2020. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 restrictions in the Philippines, the borders and airports were closed, and I was unable to travel. When I reached out to Gotogate to request a refund, I was met with unhelpful representatives who repeatedly told me that it was a "no show" despite the fact that the borders and airports were closed, making it impossible for me to travel.
I tried claiming for a refund again on February 15,2023, but unfortunately, the circumstances were still the same. Gotogate's representatives remained unhelpful and refused to provide me with a refund or even a credit for a future trip. This was a significant financial loss for me, as the ticket cost me $2000 USD.
I am extremely dissatisfied with Gotogate's service and will never book through them again. Their lack of reliability and poor customer service has left me feeling cheated and taken advantage of. I strongly urge others to consider alternative booking options to avoid the same frustration and disappointment that I have experienced.
I sincerely hope that Gotogate will reconsider their stance and provide me with the refund that I am entitled to. Until then, I will continue to share my negative experience with others in the hopes of preventing them from suffering a similar fate."

I booked a flight on Nov 8 2023, on April 10 about a month before I was scheduled to fly out, I called to see if I could add my mother to the booking. At this point, they told me that my flight was cancelled on Dec 8. They never bothered to inform me! I requested a refund and they said no problem. A few days later I get a notification informing me I would be refunded except $300 less than what I paid. So here I am making plans to travel with three young children ages 2,3,8. They don't tell me the flight is canceled, then they keep my money for over 4 months until I ask for it back, don't even inform me and it's only by chance that I even find out it's cancelled and then short me $300 claiming policies and procedures! Not to mention I've already secured accommodations in the destination I'm travelling to and it was not cheap! I travel full time with my family and I assure you there are better third party booking companies. Save yourself the hassle and avoid gotogate… and Air Transat for that matter.
Please please do not use this company. I booked a flight which i thought it would be $607 but with all the fees came out to $1213. Of course i wanted a refund. It took me literally a month but i finally got my refund. I will never and life use this site again. Please don't waste your time either.
Strongly advise you never, ever buy flight tickets from this company. Their customer service is utterly atrocious, and they are clearly engaging in fraudulent practices. When I attempted to change my ticket, they quoted me a staggering $7000, even though purchasing a brand new ticket would have only cost me $1200. I contacted multiple agents to resolve the issue, but each gave me the same exorbitant price. When I asked for the issue to be escalated, they completely ignored my request. I cannot stress enough how important it is to avoid this company at all costs. Please don't fall into their trap and risk being taken advantage of like I was.
I was booking a flight with a flexible ticket from Booking.com with Austrian for my Mum. I paid extra for the flexible ticket as I knew that she may want to stay a bit longer to help with grandkids, who she has not seen for 3 years. I called customer service to rebook it a week before (not 24hrs as advertised) departure. They asked for few hours because of some glitch - could happen. I called back next day 3am EST just to make sure I get through early on. Same issue - promised an e-mail, never received. Called another guy, still blamed the system. Elevated to level 2/3/urgent care helpdesk. Promised a call back - nothing. Finally, after 24 hours of calls and clearly more vocal about my dissatisfaction I finally got a link with a $223 extra fare change. Was not cheap, but was happy to pay as worked long hours and needed some help. I got updated ticket - which was the original ticket I had. Called back. Another person. Another 90 minutes. I got a new call back that the price is (for a one way ticket) is $1,600 (more than the original with all insurance). I found the same ticket - for the same date for $496. These guys are literally full of sh*t even if their customer team was polite.
Worst company ever, you save a few dollars so that if you ever need to make a change or cancellation within 24 hours or even 3 minutes after buying the wrong ticket THEY CHARGE YOU to call and make the cancellations by phone $45 per person. They tell you that when you buy the ticket it says there is a fee but never when buying its states that. I asked to talk to the manager and they never allowed me to do so, told me i had no valid option. WORST SITE EVER
Bought a ticket and insurance through them for the 1st and last time. Right after that realized that a person I bought it for can't fly with them then. Withing an hour I tried to change the booking and the website wouldn't load for me. I tried for several days and it wouldn't load. I couldn't find a way to contact them and a person was "no show". Neither insurance or company wouldn't do anything.

I booked a 3 stop over flight. Gisborne, Auckland Sydney to Albury, however Air NZ had completely withdrawn the early morning departure flight 2 months back therefore all connecting flights were pushed back. Gotogate knew of the cancellation 2 months ago but would not acknowledge their mistake in informing me. I was informed 5 days before the international flight was leaving the country I was visiting. Their lies were horrendous. Three days of contacting and being fogged off. In the end I cancelled and re booked with the carrier direct. They are liars, and constantly mis-informed me. I am taking this to the Ombudsman of Australia. I have already informed their awful staff my intentions and basically they cldnt care less. I was hung up on trying to explain the situation. Definitely not customer focused. They don't care. I also complained to Air NZ about the authenticity of selling off block seats to travel agents who damage the reputation of major airlines and destroy customer trust and any form of relationships with carriers. I will action a case against this travel agency. They shld be banned. I spent a good 10 hours over 3 days with nothing but crap. Their biggest BS line was "we are waiting for authorisation from the airline" I contacted Air NZ twice and was informed that the travel agent can change the bookings, they do not require the authorisation from the main carrier. So lies and deceit. I've lost a good amount of $$. For me thats a weeks wages! Shouldn't be allowed! There needs to be a accountability and transparency.

Horrible experience with gotogate, I made a round-trip reservation (number M4C9JD)from Rome to Manila, and when I came back they canceled my reservation due to a change in the schedule of one of the two flights, leaving me stranded in the Philippines with the feeling of helplessness and helplessness that this produced in me and my partner, while they resold my flight for twice the money that I had bought it, increasing their benefits even more. If the fare drops within 24 hours of booking…
For all flights into or out of the United States, airlines are required to abide by what's known as the "24-hour rule" in the industry.
Under this US Department of Transportation policy, airlines must allow you to cancel or change the ticket within 24 hours of purchase without any fees (alternatively, they can allow you to lock in the price for 24 hours at no charge, but most opt for the 24-hour cancellation or both). The rule applies to any flight that originates or lands in the United States, is booked directly with the airline, and was booked at least a week in advance of departure.
In other words, if you discover a lower fare and you're within 24 hours of booking the first ticket:
Double-check that you're within the 24-hour window
Book the new flight immediately to make sure you get that lower fare
Cancel the original (higher-priced) ticket
Just make sure you book the new ticket before you cancel the old one. That way you won't be left with no ticket at all if the price rises again.

I asked for changing my ticket but after making 15 calls they are saying airlines is not showing the fair.
I recommend not buying any tickets through this website. They are not helpful at all! I had missed my flight due to airline staff and instead of GoToGate helping me get another flight without charge they referred me elsewhere where they had me pay over $900 USD to get to my new destination. Since I was considered a "no show" they cancelled my flight back and had to pay over $300 USD on a new ticket since my prior ticket was invalid. I did not get anything or any credit for the ticket that was cancelled and they were not helpful at all. I spoke to a representative on the phone and they kept interrupting me when I tried explaining to him what happened. They said that if I wanted any credit or refund to contact Swiss Airlines but Swiss Airlines asked me to talk to GoToGate about this. No one is any help here.
